2013 Beach and Yacht Club FAQ: Don't Post Here! New Thread Now Open

I would love any info about the 60 day check in as well! Our 60 day mark is tomorrow and I'm really not sure if I should check in or not since we are staying club level. I'm also not sure what to put down for requests. We've booked a GV CL at BC, so if I remember correctly, from what I have read here,we should have a balcony and that would have been our first request. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Talk to me about the Sandcastle Club - those that have experience with it. I have made reservations for my kiddos for 3.5 hours or so...given their ages, will they be bored? DH and I really could use a night out in Epcot by ourselves...we haven't had a "date night" in probably 3-4 years (no joke). :/

We haven't used it before, but are hoping to on our upcoming trip. We'd like to hit the food and wine booths at flower and garden or the dueling piano place without the kids. If I'm not mistaking I read somewhere that they have an open house everyday, so you can stop by and check it out. Hope that helps!

I think I would like to be added to Be Our Guest....Is it just a running list of board members staying onsite at the Beach or Yacht Club and their dates ?
Thanks in Advance ..
Tim

Yes, that's exactly what it is! The Be Our Guest list is Post 15 on the first page of this thread.

See below.

Sure you can add us!! We will be in the world from May 31 - June 8 with June 2-8 at Beach Club Villas. THANKS!

All set! Which resort are you staying at before BCV?

BTW- love the shiny award you have in your profile!

Figure I'd join the fun..... we will be there from the 5th-8th(April). I can't wait to get back!!! I've been fighting myself about where to eat first. LOL

:welcome:

I have added you to the list. Which resort?

:woohoo:

:banana: still on Spring Break, 2 weeks :cool1: so I've been watching fares for next January, I know my dates and noticed really good fares, so booked!!
$318 RT from Seattle :goodvibes. Doesn't get much better then that. Have no idea of which resort I'll be staying at, depends on what promos come out, but fare booked woohoo!

That's fantastic!!!

OK folks, it's time to check the BOG again! There have been lots of additions and changes to the guest list in the past few weeks. Please take a moment to look at the list to make sure your info is listed correctly.

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

Thanks!

I have questions about the 60 day advance checkin.

Can this be done any time between 60 days before to your check in date?

I am assuming this takes the place of the prior 10 day advance checkin. Is that correct or is the 10 day still available (and different) from the 60 day advanced.

Are your keys already "cut" or prepared before your arrival if you do the advance checkin?

Has anyone checked in yet after going through this process? I can't remember when this started to know whether we are still within the 60 day window or if this started more than 2 months ago.

Having trouble wrapping my little brain around all of this!

I don't know the answers to all of your questions, but I do know you can check in any time after 60 days out. I did ours around 20 days out. If your questions aren't answered before, I'll see what happens next week:)

Whew miss a couple of days and tons of pages to catch up on. First I am glad everyone is safe from the storms yesterday and for those of you who are staring at the white stuff like me, I do believe this was the last hoorah and spring might actually start creeping in.

So we are officially PIF and 45 days from now will be enjoying our first trip to BC! To say I am excited is the understatement of the year. A huge thanks again to everyone on this thread who is so helpful and friendly and adds even more excitement to an already excitement filled trip. It looks like quite a few of us will be there overlapping in May so hopefully a friendly wave and DIS'er hello will be forthcoming. I will be proudly wearing my pin courtesy of Nannette.

We are also waiting to do onsite checking, at least for now, because no need to get fast pass reservations (yet), and the choices that seem to be available on online check in have literally no overlap with our requests (traveling with another reservation, high floor, and bed rails - we do not really care about full balcony, close to transport, or being on low floor --as just stated, we requested the exact opposite). I would be curious if there is a catch-all "other" line for the online for people like us. I am afraid our online check in form would override the "notes" in our original reservation-but if we had to risk it to get FP+ reservations, I guess we would.

Does anyone know if the balconies at BCV have locks up high (where children can't reach)? I have this paranoia about DS somehow being able to figure out the lock and getting outside on the patio/balcony (he would be sleeping in the living room alone if we stay here). Thanks!

I'm still there :goodvibes even with my additional stays at Pop & GF :worship:

Love the little icons/smiles after each month. Too bad there's no turkey for November

Congrats Sue! That's awesome! :thumbsup2

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but can anyone comment on the BC villas sofa bed in the 1 bedrooms? A friend of mine, her husband and their 9 year old twins (boy and a girl) are going in Nov. They are renting points for 10 nights and there is availability at the BC villas. Her only hesitation is the twins would need to share the sofa bed and she is concerned with the comfort level of it. Is it the kind where the mattress is sagging and you roll to the middle of the bed all night long or would it be ok for 2 9 year olds for 10 nights? Thanks for the input!

Checking in from Cleveland, Ohio where we have flurries and 34 degrees. ENOUGH already! But I see the forecast calls for sun by the end of the week!

It will depend on the exact one in the room, but my kids never complained about sleeping on the sofa bed together when we stayed.

We stayed in the villas in 2009 & 2010 when they were 9 & 7 and 10 & 8, boy and girl. Luckily, they are actually very good friends to one another and like one another most of the time. They always found enough of their own space so no complaints.

Love the energy in this thread! We are a family of 6 going to the BC 5/19 to 5/22. Our oldest daughter is a graduate of the college program. She worked at the GF. On a snowy day, the thread is a great get away!
