Hi natebenma

We returned last weekend from another lovely YC CL stay where we were amazingly pixie dusted with an upgrade to the Presidential Suite! pixiedust:

Do you have any interest in pix for the thread or your files? I'd be happy to provide you with some if you think you would. :goodvibes

We loved everything about YC CL! The CM's there are just so special. My kids have really gotten close to several of them. ::yes::

I'd love to see pics!!

We are back from our BC GV trip (4/21-4/27). Other than Sunday and Monday, we had great weather, low 80's and sunny each day. Sunday it rained all afternoon but Monday was cloudy with an occasional shower.

For some reason, we never received our text on our room # so I had to call the hotel. Our room # was 3512 despite requesting being close to the lobby, we were as far away as possible. I did get a balcony. Thank goodness I knew about the secret back entrance. We used it all the time. Had a view of the Epcot fireworks (although not many are high enough to see over the trees).

Safe: fit an Ipad, two DSI XLs, and an Ipod.
Room: was nice and clean and actually a spacious shower (I was surprised). 2 Q beds.
SAB: kids loved it. It was cool feeling the sand at your feet in the pool.

Lines at the parks were great. I think the most we waited in line was 40 minutes for Soar'in and Jungle Cruise. I think we used fast passes very well. Our favorite ride was Test Track (only when the computer screens were working creating our test vehicles).

Had the kitchen sink at Beaches & Cream, the four of us almost finished it.

Did have the Lobster Roll at HH but was disappointed with the taste. The food service there was also very slow.

Favorite restaurants were Teppan Edo, Be Our Guest and Via Napoli.

We were able to be at Animal Kingdom on Earth Day and took in the celebration and received free 15 year anniversary pins. Apparently there were in limited supply because people kept asking about them and even on our return trip later in the week.

Bob's wrist is fractured and sprained. He's wearing a removable cast and feels better today.
My fever broke last night. Still feel weak but so much better. Must have been the 24 hour flu.

Sending you guys :lovestruc Teena!

Hi Dee,

We had the good fortune to meet Teena and her lovely family last August at SAB , but unfortunately, our paths will not cross for the entire 2 weeks we'll be in Florida this year:confused3

Ok. I haven't had a chance to read through all of this thread but we are staying in BCV in a little over a week. Enjoying the posts, trying to find any good snippets for planning purposes. It will be my DH and myself, celebrating a belated honeymoon. 9 days. I. Can't. Wait!!! Questions: what is the BOG list? We are staying in a studio. What kind of view should I expect? Or rather should I request? Are there different options for the studios? Also, what is all this talk about secret entrances to Epcot??? Are there only certain places you can access? Thanks in advance for the info!!

BCV is not known for its views. You can request a pool view, woods view or courtyard view. Depends on what you like. Of course, it's just a request, so no guarantees. We've stayed several times and none of the views were bad, but we are not too particular.

UGH!! I'm so sorry! Remember when we said that 2013 was going to be a great year?

We must of been spending time in Bob's liquor cabinet when we came up with that!!

So sorry for you guys. I hope you both feel better soon!

Hi I am planning a two week stay for myself and two teenage children in August
2014.I plan to spend the first week split between a hotel close to Seaworld to visit there as well as Discovery Cove and Universal, and then a couple of nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge . I want to then spend the second week at the Beach Club so as to visit the Disney Parks . I will have free dining package should I choose a club level room for a bit of luxury or a one bed villa to have more space ?Any ideas and advice really welcome.

You were right next to the staircase to the secret entrance. :thumbsup2 That is convenient for Epcot, but nothing else. ;) We used to walk outside along the boardwalk to get to the lobby when we were in a room near there. I think it is shorter. And the view is better. :goodvibes

We love the BCV's. The kids will have a share a sofa sleeper but it would be nice to have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, whirlpool tub and a master bedroom door that locks. ;) I would take a villa over club level any day, but that's me. :)

I agree that the walk outside is shorter and certainly a better view than zig zagging through the hallways. We did have a stroller so going up and down the stairwell wasn't the best :faint:

That would definitely be bad, then. Did you drag the stroller up and down the stairs, or did you take the very long walk through the hallways?

Our first visit will be in 3 weeks. We have booked the Backstage Magic Tour and need to check in at 8:45a in the front of Epcot. I had the same concerns and asked the question on several forums as to the best way to get to the entrance of Epcot in time for the tour. I also contacted the IPO (we are staying CL @BC). Bottom line, it sounds like a taxi is the best way to ensure being there on time. I know that isn't the answer you wanted. Maybe they can arrange a special vehicle that will accommodate your mom's ECV. Good luck and report back what you ended up doing.

Thanks for all the replies to my post. Just reporting back to let you know how our journey to the front entrance of Epcot for the 8:45 "Gardens of the World" tour turned out. We arrived at the International Gateway from the Beach Club around 8:05, no one else around except for the security at bag check. I had worried all week whether we would be allowed to walk through prior to park opening, but on Friday morning security had no problem with us entering to walk through to the front entrance at all. She did ask us what time we had to be at the front, but saw my mom had an ECV and I told her we needed plenty of time to get all the way to the front. She checked our bags and we went right in. It was wonderful to be able to walk slowly and take pictures of the flowers and topiaries without all the crowds. I think I enjoyed seeing Epcot without the hoards of people and in the early morning light as much as the actual tour! We took our time, with me making photos the whole way, and got to the front of the park about 8:35, plenty of time before the start of the tour. So it is possible to enter the park early to get to the front entrance, or maybe security just thought two ladies, one with an ECV, weren't much of a threat!

Our stay at the Beach Club was delightful. We had a water view room with full balcony, room 4545, overlooking the quiet pool (which turned out not to be so "quiet"), with a great view of the lagoon and Boardwalk, in the wing closest to Epcot. Though I loved our lagoon view, in the future I would definitely request a room that did not have an adjoining door (neighbors could be clearly heard) and also away from the quiet pool, since the 11:00 closing time is not enforced and people and kids were still in the pool at 1:15 a.m. We had a full week at Epcot 2 days and MK 2 days, the "Gardens of the World Tour" and "Behind the Seeds" tours at Epcot, and "Keys to the Kingdom" tour at MK. We also went to afternoon tea at Grand Floridian. My mom had a wonderful time, and we both came home totally exhausted! It was a great experience and I thank you all for the information and helpful hints! A great, magical time at Disney!

Hi all,

Just another quick question.

Does the BC provide the use of a kettle? We will need to heat up my LO's bottles and it looks like the coffee maker will not do that for us?

Thanks

wow!!! That is amazing Pixie Dust :) Bet it was hard to leave ::yes::

Heck, yeah! I would LOVE photos!!!

You can either email to me at beachclubdee@yahoo.com or if you would like to add them directly to the Deluxe Room/Suite thread, here is the link (if you post them here, I can move them to the Presidential Suite post).

I see so many getting "pixie dusted",...I would love to get some (not even anything big) sprinkled on my daughter for her birthday the day we arrive at BC. :0/ Wishful thinking!!

Teena,

Sorry to hear about Bob's wrist! Hope he isn't in much pain and he heals quickly!! Hope you are now feeling better as well... thank about all the fun you had on the cruise and all the fun you will have with Princess Lily!!!

Sorry I missed you when I was down last weekend... hoping maybe I'll catch you in July and if not July hopefully September!
