Here now. Absolutely beautiful resort. Love CL. We have a SV and was able to see MK fireworks from room tonight.

This is a question for anybody who has stayed BC CL recently, are they still giving out water in plastic bottles? I have read in a different thread that some resorts only have water in glass bottles. We just want to know if we should stop and buy a case to have in our room.

Just ask for what you need in am before heading out, they have given us dasani bottles at YC

We arrived on Friday for our first deluxe stay. We're at YC and had reserved pool/lagoon view. Our requests were high floor, facing lake, and away from elevator. We got everything we wanted! We didn't request a day bed but we got one and DD is using it so it's comfy enough for an adult. But she's always been able to sleep anywhere! We have an awesome view, our room is 4th floor right above the water side entrance. Last night we sat on our balcony and could see some of the Illuminations fireworks while DS played the soundtrack on his phone.

Went to MK yesterday, it was pretty busy. Epcot today. Only complaint is that it's freaking cold here. 39 this morning! We'll be wearing every layer we have!

We're there more reports of being moved?!? I just saw the one recnetly but may have missed others. It has me worried too. Our week at BC is pretty full as well.

Lets take a look at this. There are 1200+ rooms at Y&BC. These bumps are very rare and I've only heard of it once or twice (granted it could happen without me hearing).

But say it happens frequently and none of us hear about it. I think out of the 1200+ rooms the room assignors could make a few calls and hand our some upgrades like the one we heard about and people would be delighted. Just toss me something as an upgrade and I would definitley look at it. I go to the Y&BC two or three times a year and would I take a CL TPV at the Poly for one trip. Sure. And then there are the folks who dont really care which resort (not the people on this board) so I think they would also gladly accept an upgrade.

What I'm saying is when this does happen I feel sure Disney will not have to force someone to move that doesn't want to.

Disclaimer: Now this being the DIS fully expect I will get a flamer screaming at me that they had to move against their will in 2008. I'm sure you are out there.

Eek! I hope it warms up in a week! It was warmer than that in January! Crazy! Forecast says 80's next week but Florida weather is so funky...I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

All this talk about being bumped has me worried about my stay next week! If I get the call and am able to decline...I'll let everyone know! Lol! I looked at my dates and there are still rooms left at the BC so I'm not going to worry about it too much.

We're excited about staying at the BC 4/8-4/11! We always stay and the YC because we want the guarantee of having a full balcony. (with three boys in the room, the balcony is my escape) However, we've been wanting to try the BC to be closer to the marketplace and Epcot. I made full balcony my only request and am keeping my fingers crossed.

Where did they do shots? We've only done this at the Poly. There are so many wonderful places for shots there, with all the flowers and waterfalls in and around the main building.

We did a lot on the beach with the lake and the boardwalk in the background. We did some on the grassy areas and some by SAB.

We did the BC photoshoot in 2008 and I think it was $200 for about an hour!
It might be my favorite too because that was our Grand Gathering. We had some great photos with four generations!

Thank you Dee for setting up this thread. There is alot to learn and I am trying my best..lol! Can you please add us to the BOG list..we are going on 08/11-08/17/13. We are staying at the YC Garden View CL. My son does not know yet and I am trying my best to keep it a surprise. He has always wanted to stay here and at CL too Rice, beans and pasta will be our diet from now on

Is it really a duvet, or is it triple sheeted? If it's triple sheeted, I would think that all the bedding is completely replaced at the end of a stay. I'm not sure about a real duvet or a bedspread. I've seen in other hotels where all the sheets and blankets are pulled, but not the bedspreads.

Please add us to the BOG list. BC Sept 14-21. We checked out of BLT this am but not before booking a BB trip with the kids for the fall!! BLT was nice (no real theming we thought) so excited to be back at YC/BC in the fall! Love this thread.....fastest moving one on the DIS!!

Most of the bumps I've heard of on the boards were people at the values being offered SSR or OKW because of over booking. Except the time they had to bump POR people who booked Royal Rooms, and they weren't ready. Some got bumped to Poly, you should have heard the flames coming off that thread about POR people coming over
