Great minds think alike.... :rotfl2:

How short is short? I have a pair of bike shorts & plan to get a red petticoat too. We never get dressed up for Halloween so I'm so excited to get dressed up & go on actual Halloween day to MNSSHP! Now I need some comfy red shoes!

What's has/is everyone dressing up for Halloween and/or for mnssp this year?

On me, when I held my arms down, it was about a half inch shorter than my fingertips.

I called it the school test since skirts at our schools have to be longer than your fingertips will reach. :rotfl2:

I don't know what I'll do about shoes. Maybe come up with some sort of red shoe cover that I can put over my trusted Teva Tirra sandals or New Balance Tennis shoes.
I have plenty of time to figure that out. It might be a couple of years before I go back for MNSSHP.

To stay on topic: I decided I'm going to request upper floor, Epcot side. I like to be on a higher floor since I'm solo.

Next up is some food research. I'm going to see what quick breakfasts are at BC. I may also grab breakfast at the French Bakery in Epcot. So many choices, so little time.

:wave2: everyone!

I have been mostly lurking here for the past several days when I have the time- Hopefully on Saturday morning I will have a chance to catch up on the last 10-15 pages, and give our new friends here an official :welcome:

Talk soon!

One more question- has anyone done the research regarding where it is better to order a case of water and maybe some other things? from? Garden grocer? Just buy it from BC? Cost co? Staples? Amazon? The analysis is killing me - trying to factor in price of delivery, vs price to receive a shipment at a 'convention' hotel, overpriced cost if things at a hotel. Etc.

Also which store is the most convenient if we decide to go with a car service - target, piggy wiggly (not really the name, but cannot think of the grocery store chain down there...)

31 days until my trip with DH and my DS (5.5 month old in 31 days). Yay yay yay!!

I've used garden grocer twice and was very happy. We have also made a run to Walmart via cab. Is rather pay a little more and do garden grocer.

We are staying club level in June so I am forgoing garden grocer for snacks and my dsister is driving so she will bring the water.

Good luck on your research !

This is the post I have in the FAQ. It is not really complete, and I haven't ordered a case of water so I can't add anything to this, but it gives you some options to consider.

We haven't done a grocery stop either, but there is a Super Walmart and a Super Target you can get to for grocery and other items. Perhaps others can give you the pros/cons comparing these two.

What is the Best Way to Get a Case of Water (or other items) for Your Room?

The Yacht & Beach Club is a Convention resort so items that are shipped their by UPS or FedEx will be delivered to the convention mailing center and will be subject to a charge based on the weight of the item.

Because of this, it is often better to send items directly to resort via United States Postal Service (see instructions in the Other Useful Info Post)

I'm still working on this, so if anyone has suggestions or recent info about the prices of a case of water from the following sources, please let me know.

What are the options for getting a case of water or other items to your room, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each method???

Beach Club Marketplace, Dasani 24 pack, $16- need confirmation (no delivery fee)
Hess Gas Station near BW resort (no delivery fee, but must walk or drive there)
Walmart/Target- must drive there, or take cab

Delivery Options:
Turner Drug, (407) 828-8125 - Cost? Delivery Fee?***
Staples- Cost? Delivery Fee? To front desk or convention center?
Garden Grocer- Cost? Minimum order required

*** August 2013
Hi everyone!!! I've been catching up and finally I can help Dee out. I just read about Turner Drugs and was checking out pricing, so here you go...

soda (coke, diet coke, pepsi, diet pepsi, mt. dew & sprite) 12 pack, 12 oz cans are $4.99 each.

water: Nestle, 1/2 liter bottles, 32 bottles (case) $7.99 or 6 pack $2.49 or Crystal Geyser, 1/2 litter bottles 24 bottles (case) $6.99 or 6 pk $2.19.

Delivery fee is $7.50 to all Disney Resorts including Swan and Dolphin. If your hotel is not on the list it's $10 to $15 depending on location.

It also states to call for delivery fees (407) 828-8125 and all online orders are $7.50.

The last part is slightly confusing, but I think it's safe to say if your staying onsite it's only $7.50 with no minimum $ amount needed and since they deliver to all resorts for the yc/bc/bcv it should go directly to that resort not the convention center. Hope this helps.

We stayed CL this past September. We did not need to purchase water. When we would leave to go to the park we would ask the CM for water and they would give us as many bottles as we wanted. Also you can get some extra and put it in your refrigerator, of course ours was filled with beer LOL, so we had to get it every morning.

Anyone ever book a massage at the BC? If so, was it worth it? Last time I booked us massages in Disney was back in '05/'07? at the GF (before their reno) and honestly for what it cost, I walked away thinking "meh". Anyone try it at the BC recently?

I surprised my wife with the 50 minute Swedish massage last year. She said she enjoyed. But I guess she would since I treated her :cool2: ....

:wave2: everyone!

Curious- do you all book your trips with a travel agent, and if not why?

I don't use a travel agent mostly b/c I am way to OCD to give anyone else control of my vacation plus I actually enjoy all the planning madness :). I do have friends though that prefer to leave the planning to others and go thru agents - personal preference really.

Landing in 20 minutes!! If anyone needs anything or has BC questions, just ask!! DH still doesn't know we're staying CL!!
Safe travels to everyone on their way soon! :cheer2:

Ohhh Couchy... I'm thinking about canceling my Cali Grill reservation... I know you are going the same night as me, but couldn't get a late reservation... Let me know if you want the one I have. The reservation is 11/2 at 7:45 and well oopps I made it for 2 instead of 1 :confused3 Let me know???

~N
If you cancel let me know. I may also cancel that day as well though since we are thinking of doing Party for the Senses that night but are undecided. If we don't do the party and you are going to cancel I will take your 7:45 since mine is at 5:40 and I hate eating that early

Have you done the Party before?

I plan my own trip. It's my personality. I like having the control over things and getting things done the way i want them

Me too. I actually teach an AP Psych course and I laugh when we get to the chapter that talks briefly about OCD. I tell my students to just observe my daily routine, as it never changes or it would freak me out...
NO way someone is planning my trip

I will most likely cancel it because I really need to dine at Bongo's... with the Dolphin Tour back on something has to go and well it won't be Bongo's!!!

I have done the Party before.. DD and I did it 2011, Taylor Hicks was the performer that night (don't like him sorry all you Hicks fans)! We did the wine view lounge. I didn't really think it was worth the $$, but everyone is different and well we had to try it! This year I thought about doing it again just because, but then I didn't book it and the wine view lounge is sold out so just the regular section is available (that was a hot mess the year we went) and doing it would now interfere with Bongo's and I have to eat there!

Anyway let me know if you want the reservation we have time since I don't have to cancel it right away.
