Here is a brief synopsis of our OKW/BC stay on November 16th to 24th. Just me and the wife this time. Definitely a more laid back/relaxing trip. No rope drops. Had FP’s planned on DME+ so no need to hurry. We stayed DVC at OKW so we didn’t have mousekeeping services here. It is well documented about my disappointment of Disney cutting back on amenities here.

We really like OKW for the size and laid back feel. We had a first floor room but no problem with peekers here as there are no pathways on patio side of rooms. Being able to park and walk right into your room (literally 20 steps) is a huge plus. Buses ran great. And building 19 was not too bad of walk to Hospitality House.

For the second leg we checked into Beach Club Club Level Standard View. We had the always great Vilma check us in. Our room was ready at 10:30. This always seems to get the trips off to a good start. Not far at all from lounge. Connecting door. No problems unless you have LOUD neighbors (that checked in our last night!!!!)

Room 5668 overlooks the portico in front. We did have a full balcony. I didn’t realize there are different size full balconies at BC. Ours was smaller than the two on either side. Not that it mattered. Still enjoyed sitting out there. I knew about the huge ones but not the regular ones. Could see Illuminations if you leaned over balcony a little and looked to the right. Wishes were visible (but through a tree).

BC Mousekeeping was Ok. Turn down service two out of the four nights. Love being so close to EPCOT. We were in our room one night and I decided to go watch Illuminations. Out the door at 8:38. Standing on bridge between UK and France at 8:46. Camera setup at Torii gate in Japan at 8:55. Resort Christmas decorations were great. Could not ask for better bus service. Don’t know if it was a luck of the draw thing (they were either pulling up or there within 10 minutes every time) or the service has improved.

Thanks for your trip review! Love your dining line-up. How was Marrakesh? Mark and I went a few times when we first visited EPCOT, but haven't been back with the boys.

ooh just logged into "my disney" account and I can customise our magicbands!!!! Problem, it says pick a colour but there arent any! Will this be a glitch. Plenty of days to go so I can wait (impatiently)

You can either log on and try again, or you can call. BEWARE... I called and it was kinda comical in an annoying way:sad2::sad2: The poor CM was misinformed and tried real hard to fix my issue but I think the Magic + or whatever they call it is constantly changing and it is very glitchy and CMs are trying to stay on top of all the mess that has been created

Thanks for the rundown... we had some spotty mousekeeping issues as well
Just got a call from my 5 year old grandson, Jackson, to let me know only 3 more sleeps and a wake up before Disney!! Love that my grandchildren are so excited for our trip.:cool1::cool1:

Looking forward to our first BC stay.

How fun. Hope you have a great time and love BC as much as we all do:goodvibes

Lee and I weren't really fans. More to do with our taste. First time there. Not bad, just feel like our $$$$ would be better spent elsewhere. We did have a great appetizer (Goat Cheese with Crispy Bread for Two - mixture of cheese and kalamata olives served with red pepper sauce and balsamic vinegar reduction $13.99)

One thing I find strange is that I received no resort survey. OKW or BC. Guess they don't won't the feedback right now. Whether they used it or not I always liked telling them the good and the bad.

:welcome: to the thread I'm not sure, but I don't think that any of the 1BR Suites are on the 5th floor. They do all have access to the club lounge, though. Don't know how many 1BR Suites there are- the two rooms I know about are 1647 and 3647- so maybe 2647 and 4647, too? Possibly others. Here's a link with some pictures/description of the above two rooms: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=43927372&postcount=8 If anyone has stayed in another 1 BR Suite, could you provide the room number and if possible, a description/pictures so I can add the info to the BC Deluxe/Suites thread? Thanks!

Thanks so much!! We have booked one for Sept so that our 2 year old could have more room, but still on the fence about keeping it.

Hi!! Just a quick question about the kids club at BC... We are staying at BC but friends of ours are staying at the BWI...can their children go with our children to the kids club? We were hoping to get a adult only couple of hours at jellyrolls together ...Thank you!!

Anyone can use the kids clubs. You don't have to be staying at that resort. :goodvibes

So excited for you! We love the BC!!

That's so sweet about your Grandson;) Sounds like everyone is excited for your trip! That came up so quick.

Hope you have a fun & safe trip!

One of these days I'm going to see those Christmas decorations!

Is it true that the BC club level will be under refurbishment summer 2014?

Probably. That is the time frame I have been hearing, but I haven't seen anything official yet. As soon as we know for sure about the start date, we will post it here.

In the one bedroom villa, is there one toilet? I cant tell from the pictures. I see a sink and shower and then a sink and jacuzzi tub. Seems odd. :confused3

Is there any reason to choose a regular room over a one-bedroom?

We're at the YC right now, and I have to say it's lovely. We're CR diehards and I miss it a little, but I do like it here. I can't wait to check out SAB tomorrow.

The CL staff are absolutely awesome. Today was my daughter's birthday and they put together a small "treasure hunt" for each of the kids to find a small stuffed animal from Mickey. They also went above and beyond to fix our MB glitches. The CL food offerings are meager (to put it kindly), but the staff is great.

Here is the activities schedule for December

If I am able to get a copy of special Christmas events at the Yacht & Beach Club I will post that, too

Regarding marrakesh, we were there may 2013, and was consistent quality from prior visits, so if you liked before, presumably will like again (assuming no deterioration over past year)

Tomorrow we will finally be heading to the Beach Club!!:cool1: My birthday is on Wednesday, but Jimmy and Nikkole had a cake for me at their house last night. I got a beautiful collage frame with pictures of my grandchildren. Went I looked at the lower right corner there was a sonogram picture of my 6th grandchild!! What a wonderful birthday present.:banana: Now. Jimmy and Nikkole have 3 girls and Lucy has decided there are enough girls and a brother would be nice.

Just wondering if there is anyplace at YC/BC to buy a case of water. I looked at the pictures of the marketplace and saw individual bottles but didn't see cases. Thanks!

I haven't seen anyone confirm this, but I have a price list of grocery items you can pre-order from the Marketplace if you are a DVC Member staying at the villas. According to the listing (dated March 2013), there is a case of 24 bottles of Dasani Water (12 ounce bottles) for $16.00.

Does anyone know if you can just stop into the Marketplace for this?

Sold by the case in the Market Place... they are located on the shelves to the left when you walk in the door where the food is located.
