Tomorrow is my 180 day mark, so I will be up bright and early to make those reservations :cool1::cool1::cool1:. I love this part, all the planning and strategizing .

[SIZE="7Does anybody else think they need a cardboard cut out of Teena in the lobby so that when she goes on vacation we can still stop by to "see" her?
~NM

Um..yeah... I second that motion. I think everytime I've stayed at the BC/YC she has been on vacation. My family doesn't understand why I'm dragging them through the BC lobby especially if we are staying on the YC side. Later I'll get back only to find out she was on vacation.

We will be at BC May 10-17. It's the first time in a long time with no CL. It's a solo adults trip no kiddos for our anniversary so we are putting the money into things like Wild Africa Trek, Discovery Cove n yummy meals rather than the splurge on the room. We booked standard view but I do like to sit on the balcony at night n journal my trip so I'm going to be digging through the info on how n when to make requests n best standard rooms etc. BC is our absolute fave. We Honeymooned at WL n have tried BW, YC, Swan, AKL n even POP but we always wish we were at BC if we stay somewhere else. Love to walk to Epcot n nibble.

:welcome:

I"ll add you to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

Sounds like you have some super fun plans to celebrate your anniversary.

:cool1:

Being up early has paid off :thumbsup2. I was able to get ADRs for all the restaurants that we wanted and pretty much around all the times we aimed for. Our daughter is super geeked, we will be eating at BOG, CRT & Akershus, princess overload!

I do have a question: Are they still doing Fastpass+ for Wishes? I was planning on doing the Dessest Party but we are not huge sweet eaters and if we can save some $ I was thinking it might be better to just use a Fastpass+. I can't keep up with everything that is going on with Fastpass+

Congrats!

I can't keep up with FP+ either! but wanted to chime in on the dessert party...

We did it in May. It was on Mother's Day and I only booked it for that reason...since it was a special occasion. We aren't big dessert eaters either. I enjoyed being able to sit back and relax for the show at a table with no crowd. It was also nice to not have to worry about finding a spot ahead of time. The view was good, but not as good as being in the center of Main Street. We hardly ate a thing...even my kids. There was a nice photo op there with a PP photog. Overall, I am glad we gave it a try but I doubt we will pay that much to do it again. :goodvibes

ooh just logged into "my disney" account and I can customise our magicbands!!!! Problem, it says pick a colour but there arent any! Will this be a glitch. Plenty of days to go so I can wait (impatiently)

Thanks for review! I like to hear pros & cons from all :-) There are so many decisions to make , it makes my head spin at times ;-)

Here is a brief synopsis of our OKW/BC stay on November 16th to 24th. Just me and the wife this time. Definitely a more laid back/relaxing trip. No rope drops. Had FP’s planned on DME+ so no need to hurry. We stayed DVC at OKW so we didn’t have mousekeeping services here. It is well documented about my disappointment of Disney cutting back on amenities here.

We really like OKW for the size and laid back feel. We had a first floor room but no problem with peekers here as there are no pathways on patio side of rooms. Being able to park and walk right into your room (literally 20 steps) is a huge plus. Buses ran great. And building 19 was not too bad of walk to Hospitality House.

For the second leg we checked into Beach Club Club Level Standard View. We had the always great Vilma check us in. Our room was ready at 10:30. This always seems to get the trips off to a good start. Not far at all from lounge. Connecting door. No problems unless you have LOUD neighbors (that checked in our last night!!!!)

Room 5668 overlooks the portico in front. We did have a full balcony. I didn’t realize there are different size full balconies at BC. Ours was smaller than the two on either side. Not that it mattered. Still enjoyed sitting out there. I knew about the huge ones but not the regular ones. Could see Illuminations if you leaned over balcony a little and looked to the right. Wishes were visible (but through a tree).

BC Mousekeeping was Ok. Turn down service two out of the four nights. Love being so close to EPCOT. We were in our room one night and I decided to go watch Illuminations. Out the door at 8:38. Standing on bridge between UK and France at 8:46. Camera setup at Torii gate in Japan at 8:55. Resort Christmas decorations were great. Could not ask for better bus service. Don’t know if it was a luck of the draw thing (they were either pulling up or there within 10 minutes every time) or the service has improved.

Dining:
Earl of Sandwich
Yak & Yeti
San Angel Inn
Good to Go
Starring Rolls Café
Olivia’s
California Grill
Beaches and Cream
Restaurant Marrakesh
Hurricane Hanna’s
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Landscapes of Flavor (AoA)
Tokyo Dining
Tony’s Town Square
Beaches and Cream (again)

Tour:
Keys to the Kingdom

Sounds like a perfectly wonderful trip!

Just got a call from my 5 year old grandson, Jackson, to let me know only 3 more sleeps and a wake up before Disney!! Love that my grandchildren are so excited for our trip.:cool1::cool1:

Looking forward to our first BC stay.

We are family of 5 staying at BC. Do we automatically get a daybed? And if we do can we still request a rollaway? Should i request these prior to arrival? Thank you for any help!

:welcome: to the thread!

When is your trip? Would you like me to add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1?

My understanding is that parties of 5 have priority for a daybed. If there is a room available with a daybed on the day you are checking in, you would receive that room before a smaller family who requested one.

You have to be given a room that can accommodate everyone having a place to sleep, so if you are assigned a room without a daybed, then you would be provided with a rollaway cot. These are free of charge to all guests, although some people have been told differently.

I'm not sure if you can request a rollaway cot if you are in a room with a daybed. I suppose you can, if it will fit in your room.

If you want, you can add the request for a daybed to your reservation, but you can't request the rollaway cot until you arrive.

Hope that helps.

Are all of the 1 bdr suites at the Beach Club on floors other than the 5th? Thank you!

:welcome: to the thread

I'm not sure, but I don't think that any of the 1BR Suites are on the 5th floor. They do all have access to the club lounge, though.

Don't know how many 1BR Suites there are- the two rooms I know about are 1647 and 3647- so maybe 2647 and 4647, too? Possibly others.

Here's a link with some pictures/description of the above two rooms:

If anyone has stayed in another 1 BR Suite, could you provide the room number and if possible, a description/pictures so I can add the info to the BC Deluxe/Suites thread?

Thanks!
