Teena: is on a cruise to Hawaii so she is out of range of her communication devices. You can bet your sweet bippy that as soon as she hits Honolulu, if she is able, she will log in and say hi.

Speak of the devil...

Teena has just sent me a bunch of texts and pictures, I'll post them when I get a chance.

Dee - sent you a message on what I think is your yahoo address. To all on this board, have a lovely thanksgiving.

Yes, you have the correct address, and I responded back to you.

Does the beach club sell gingerbread cookies now? Thanks! I want to head over today.

If they have their Christmas Display up most likely, but their gingerbread house doesnt open til later but the Marketplace offers them as a snack opition all day

Usually the week after the January 1st. They slowly take them down (just like they put them up) so there is no one day it happens. We have been down for the marathon weekend for the last six years and they still have some up then.

Thank you MickeyT!!

Question--A studio is the same price as a regular room for my nights. We are two adults. I know nothing about DVC and have never stayed at Beach Club before. Is there any benefit to staying in the studio? It looks farther away from the boat dock, pool and Epcot but closer to the bus stop. The studio would have a microwave and a sink, both rooms have a fridge. Studio would have a couch instead of a second bed. Am I missing anything else?

The studio has a queen size bed and a full-size sofa bed. Just wanted to make sure you knew it was a sofa bed, not just a couch.

My first choice is to stay in a one-bedroom. But I would get a studio over a regular room. To me, staying in a villa makes it feel like home as opposed to being in a regular hotel room. I like sitting on the couch to watch TV. I like having a dedicated area for food, even if I'm just making toast for breakfast.

The DVC building is not farther from Epcot, it's closer. There's a shortcut. I think Dee put my picture of the shortcut on the first page.

It is farther away from the boat dock if you are going to Hollywood Studios, but not much farther. If you are in the Beach Club main building, there is an exit across from the gift shop. You walk down a short path to get to the DVC building.

I know a lot of people would tell you to get the regular room instead of the studio -- I just thought I would give another opinion.

MickeyT: You mean to tell me there were cookies around that you did not try? You are seriously slipping! Get your butt back to Disney and go on cookie patrol so we can get us a report on which ones are naughty and which ones are nice.

~NM

Ahem…..****Insert a NOT snooty sound here***** We stayed Club Level. I have no idea how many cookies I ate. Hundreds. Maybe thousands. I looooooovvvvvvveee their sugar cookies. Poor lounge employees broke into tears when I walked in.

Happy thanksgiving to all my bc/yc friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Robyn! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I know a lot of people would tell you to get the regular room instead of the studio -- I just thought I would give another opinion.

Opinions are like Bestest Aunts. Everyones got one. :flower3: And you're ours. Thanks for a different angle.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, including our Canadian neighbors, who had Thanksgiving earlier this year, but are probably still eating turkey leftovers from those GIANT Canadian turkeys they grow up there!

Remember, Canada... it's not just America's hat... they have giant turkeys too!

Happy Thanksgiving to All!!!

Now I have to get packing! Going from California, to WDW, to a work conference in Texas, and on to Michigan for the holidays all in one circular trip - so it will be quite a feat of packing engineering to accommodate the various climates and wardrobe requirements for a month. It would be so much better if you could just wear Mickey gear everywhere.

Happy Turkey Day everyone.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

There are many things in my life for which I am thankful, and I want to let you all know that the friends and family I have met here have an important place on that list. It is amazing that a group of people who may not have otherwise met have become a part of each others lives through a mutual love of Disney and one particular magical place within.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

I have to agree with Best Aunt, I too would easily choose the BCV studio over a regular BC room. It is just DH and I now and I love having the extra floor space when the sleep sofa is folded up. And having a couch to sit on is so comfortable during the day. I also love the separate kitchenette. It is very useful.
However, many prefer the "décor" of the BC rooms. I agree they are far more elegant and up to date. The Villas have a "Theme" and are decorated to that theme. Also as a timeshare, where expenses are bourne but the homeowners, the are not renovated as frequently.
I very much prefer my themed studio over the elegant hotel anywhere USA feel of the BC rooms. Just my opinion.
Enjoy
