Day 27 THE FINALE!!! - Magic Kingdom - Home
They reckon all good things come to an end, and I was in no doubt of that as I awoke and realised we would be leaving for home. Showered and dressed, with the final packing done, we left OKW at 8:30 and headed to DTD Virgin Check-in.

P.E. check-in was quick with the separate line, and we were soon heading for our final visit to Magic Kingdom for this year. We decided to take the ferry across, since we had not travelled on it this visit, and upon docking, I spotted a hidden mickey created from the rope.

Traditionally on our last day, we tend to avoid getting wet, and this unfortunately meant no Splash Mountain. Once inside, we made our way along Main Street, checking out the Halloween decorations along the way and decided to head over to Fantasyland.

Collecting fast passes for Dumbo, we also received some surprise FPs for PhilharMagic. As it was our final day, we had decided to visit Merida from Brave, in the Fairytale Garden. The queue was enormous but we decided to wait. After 10 minutes we had not moved and so gave up the wait. As we had not eaten yet, we headed to Columbia Harbour House for brunch, along the way; we stopped off at PhilharMagic thanks to our bonus fast passes.
Nigel: Lobster Roll with crisps Strawberry Yoghurt Diet Coke.
Sue: Lighthouse Sandwich with crisps Strawberry Yoghurt Orange Juice.
Emma: Chicken Nuggets with fries Chocolate Cake Diet Coke.

Suitably fuelled up, we returned back to Dumbo to use our fast passes.

This was the first time that we had ridden it since the refurbishment. It seems a lot quicker now there are two carousels.

After Dumbo, we boarded the train and travelled all the way round to Frontierland, where we collected fast passes for BTMR. Haunted Mansion was next up, and we managed two rides in succession.

By now, our BTMR fast passes were valid and so we made our way back.

On exiting the ride, we jumped onto the train again, and headed to Fantasyland, where we picked up fast passes for Buzz Lightyear.

On to Carousel of Progress next, for a well-earned rest and cool off, before one final circuit on TTA. It was then back to Buzz Lightyear, using the fast passes, which more or less gave us a walk on.

Making our way round, we called into Monsters Inc. Laughfloor for one last time.

It was approaching parade time, and so we headed back towards Main Street, calling in at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Whilst waiting for the parade, I decided to send Martin (burt) a final picture to show him what he was missing back home!

All too soon, the parade had passed and it was time to say goodbye to Disney for this year.
It was a nice touch by Disney to show a mark of respect for the first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong, who had sadly passed away on 25th August. The Star-Spangled Banner had been lowered to half-mast, along Main Street.

We left the park and caught the monorail back to T&TC. I waited here to photograph the monorail in Avengers livery, since I had seen it earlier on this circuit.

The journey back to MCO was uneventful, except that I was aware of the ever-decreasing fuel level. As we returned the car, the fuel gauge was showing just 15 miles remaining!

As we had done check-in at DTD earlier, it was just a matter of clearing security. I was singled out for a swab check during the process. Once airside, we made use of the free wi-fi whilst waiting to board the plane. Our journey home tonight was in the bubble of 747 Hot Lips. The width of the aisle in P.E. is enormous. We were served with a glass of sparkling wine, whilst the rest of the plane boarded. We were pushed back about 10 minutes early, and soon we were in the air and being served our meal.

The entertainment system was excellent, but I do not usually watch films, and so unusual for me, I managed to grab about 4 hours sleep! On landing, we were made well aware that we were back in England, by the huge temperature difference! Despite travelling P.E., our luggage was almost last of the carousel, and all that was left was to load the car and make the tiring journey back home along the M6.
Well .Thats the end of another trippie!!!
It is almost time to set out on our visit for this year, which will also include our third Disney Cruise on-board the Disney Dream.
Thanks for reading, and in particular, those of you who have made the effort to leave comments.
Thats all folks!!!!!!
Nigel, Sue and Emma.
