Day 23 - Florida Mall - Yak n Yeti - Polynesian

A rather short day today, since overnight we had suffered a torrential rainstorm and it was still in full force as we awoke. It seemed a waste of time attempting to visit a park and so we decided on an easy day and a lie in. I heard on the news that Busch Gardens had completely shut because of the bad weather. Time was pressing on and so we jumped in the car and made the short journey to Earl of Sandwich, for brunch.

Nigel: Full Monty Fruit Cup Apple Juice.
Sue: Hawaiian BBQ Cookie Orange Juice.
Emma: Hawaiian BBQ Strawberries in Jelly Diet Coke.

We drove to the Florida Mall and visited a few of our regular shops. Earlier during the holiday I had seen a nice compact lightweight tripod and so I decided to purchase one. We returned back to OKW, calling in at Walmart on Turkey Lake Road, for a few supplies to see us through our last few days. Back at base, I removed the tripod from the box and noticed that one leg would not lock out when extended. This meant it had to go back when we had chance.

Tonight our ADR was at Yak n Yeti. Showered and changed, on our way out we called a few doors away, to Martin, Wendy and family to say our farewells, since they would be returning home the following day, and also travelling on the same flight as Margaret, Geoff and family.

Arriving at Yak n Yeti, the restaurant was unusually quiet with quite a few empty tables. We were seated quickly and left to browse the menu.

Nigel: Honey Chicken Cheesecake Diet Coke.
Sue: Sweet n Sour Chicken Cheesecake Diet Coke.
Emma: Bourbon Chicken Cheesecake Diet Coke.

As usual, the food was very good and as we left the restaurant we had a quick look at some Bhangra dancers.

On leaving the park, we had a few photopass pics taken and then decided to head back over the Florida Mall to exchange the faulty tripod before returning back to OKW.

We drove over to the Polynesian at around 9:30 to video Wishes from the beach. Later we met up with Margaret, Geoff and family, who had had their final Disney meal for this year at Narcoossee. This was to arrange the collection of goods he had ordered online, which would eventually be delivered after they had left. Martin had got the same delivery issues and so we also arranged collection of goods for him as well. We said our final farewells and headed back to OKW around midnight.

Good to have a more chilled out day sometimes - I really enjoyed yak and yeti.
