Day 11 - Animal Kingdom DTD Mannys (3)
Today was EMH at Animal Kingdom and so we were all awake at 6:45 (despite a very late night the previously day!). Showered and dressed we arrived at Unicorn 34 parking lot at 7:50.
With no queue at the entrance we made rope drop at Tree of Life. I went on ahead at a fast pace to get 3 FPs for Everest. Sue and Emma eventually caught up and we managed to ride Everest twice in succession.
Exiting the gift shop, I checked the time and we decided to head over to Kilimanjaro Safari before 9:00.
Plenty of animals were out and about, which was a good opportunity for photographs.
On leaving the safari, we wandered through the gift shop and admired some of the carved masks.
Breakfast was calling and so we made our way to Kusafiri Bakery and Coffee Shop. This is located to the right of Tusker House entrance and so we made use of the covered seating area.
Nigel: Croissant Orange Juice.
Sue: Cherry Danish Orange Juice.
Emma: Croissant Orange Juice.
Just as we were about to leave, I checked the time and realised we had missed the FP window for our return to Everest. Not to worry, since we had already ridden it twice. Although it was still quite early, we still felt a little tired due to our late night and decided to call it a day. Making our way out of the park, we called in at Island Mercantile where I spotted a CD of classical Disney music. I have quite a large collection of Disney music and so decided to take a photograph of the CD cover to check against the list stored on my computer. We eventually arrived back at OKW at around 11:00 and had already decided on a visit to DTD. I left my DSLR kit in our room and grabbed my Sony compact camera before checking my CD list on the netbook. The classical CD was not showing so I made a mental note to purchase a copy. Our first stop was Conch Flats General Store to look for the CD but it was not available. On the way back to the car, I noticed a couple of workmen on the roof of the gift shop who were spraying the exterior of the building.
