2012 Member Cruise. Can I go??

I wonder if I can go since this time I bought my points resale. AND I bought them after the DVC made that fateful announcement.

When will the process start anyway? When will the phone lines open?

I would lean towards no. It's still DCL even though it's a members cruise. Try calling anyway but be prepared. You can always pay cash and rent your points.

I am going to try and book. We have been members since 2009 and as long as you have a Member's number you can go I guess....or that is my take on it. It sold out in 2 hours for the trip this year. I will try to call on the dot and take my chances. If not I will take another 3 night or wait for another year. I think your chances are as good as anyone's. Dont know when the lines open but I will be there. I am going to try to be on a land line too in case my cell hangs up.

My bet is that this one won't sell out QUITE as fast. The speed of "sell out" had been "slowing" down over the past few years. This year had the "new ship" appeal, but having been on the "new ship" when it's FULL it may not have quite as much "appeal" for return bookers. Plus the members who only did it because "its the Dream" may not need to do it again.

I am thinking of finally doing one in 2012, but I KNOW what the Dream is like full.. (That family pool was a NIGHTMARE I was so glad I did not have kids!)

Definately not on your points, but you could always pay cash and go! I've heard it's better anyway since points can be a bit much for a cruise....
