Hi All,
Not posted on the DIS for quite some time, still been reading but thought its about time i got involved again, so what better way to get back into things than a wee pre trip report
Myself and my girlfriend got engaged in Florida last year (in Seaworld) and once we started planning the wedding and honeymoon we knew that there was only one place to have the honeymoon and that of course is Clacton.
Unfortunately Clacton is fully booked for the 2 weeks of our honeymoon so we are going to Orlando again instead.
We decided we wanted to make this trip stand out from a 'normal' orlando trip so are going a little bit deluxe.
Here is our plan so far
Tues 18th Sept 2012 - Executive airport transfer to Gatwick, Night at the Gatwick Hilton on the Executive floor.
Wed 19th Sept 2012 - 1.00pm flight on Virgin Atlantic to MCO in Upper class, pick up from Airport by car Service (hopefully an Escalade) and taken to Disneys Yacht and Beach Club.
We are here for 12 nights on the Deluxe Dining Plan and have 14 day Ultimate tickets. We will be doing a lot of the Signature restaurants and hope to be able to have an Illuminations cruise, preferably on Breathless II if possible. We pick up a car (premium) from Disney car care centre on the 2nd day and will be going offsite to Seaworld, BG, Aquatica and Discovery Cove during our stay. We are hoping to just catch the start of F&W before we check out.
Monday 1st October - We move to Loews Portofino Bay hotel at Universal Studios in a bay view room.
We are here for the final 3 nights of our Honeymoon, have 2 day park passes and will be doing USO and IOA at a nice leisurely pace and spending a lot of time by the pool winding down a little. Will also be doing Blue Man group (which we both love) and Halloween Horror nights while at Universal.
Thursday 4th October - We fly back to LGW.. boooo but we are in Upper Class going back also so im looking forward to sleeping on the flight back for the first time ever and hopefully having less jet lag.
So far the package is booked with Virgin Holidays (Flights, Hotels, Dining plan, car, park tickets) so really just Discovery cove ultimate to book (to get Seaworld/BG/Aquatica tickets as well), BMG and HHN will book much nearer the time. Also all ADRs to do next year.
Thanks for reading, looking forward to being an active part of this forum
