2012 Fantasy Inaugural sailing ~ who's joining us!

OK, so after a WONDERFUL (due to the AWESOME DISers that sailed with us ) western DCL cruise last week, some of us “Key Lime Pie-Rates” did a faux booking on board with the intention of going on the inaugural Fantasy sailing in 2012. So who else is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig planner and will join us on the maiden voyage??? Come on, I know you’re out there !! Join the fun of planning for THREE years !

We also were on the May 16th Western with dznyaccnt and booked a dummy date to use for the Inaugural.

I just wish we could book it NOW and then wait 3 years....not have to play musical chairs with Cruise dates!

I KNEW you would be the first to reply ! I just created a new countdown using a bogus date of 7/1/12. I figured 7/1 was halfway through the year. Now we need to work on Lynsey........

I am on board! I didn't get to spend much time just chatting with most of you so count us in with that as a good excuse! I love my Key Lime Pie-rate DISers and can't wait to sail again with all of you!!!!

Let's see -- in 3 years, Sabrina will be 10 --- a little too young for Palo but that should be a fun age. I will be, well, errr, ummm, let's not think about that....

You're welcome Mati . I HATE coming back from a Disney trip without another one planned. I'm sure that I'll be able to sneak in a trip (or two hopefully ) to Disney World before the cruise. Having this thread set up, does help with the post-vacation blues. Plus, I get to chat with my favorite DIS friends .

Anyone have big plans for the weekend or still recovering after our fabulous vacation?

We are doing nothing -- nada -- tonight. Tomorrow we will go to Costco and maybe make ribs. I wish I could say we will hang out in the pool but we came home to discover a broken pool pump and are waiting for the replacement to come in. Sunday is the school carnival. Sabrina's last day of school is Wednesday so all of the excitement with end of year activities have eased her pain.

Believe it or not, she is already talking about our next trip on the Disney ship!

Ok, back to work. Just wanted to check in with those of you who aren't on FB....

No big plans for us. However, I think we will head over to Disneyland to see the fireworks before they change it over to the new show next month! That should help with the post cruise blues!!

We'll be going to Costco too Mati. Mainly to stock up on fruit and veggies. Can't beat their prices on some of that stuff. Oh, and to get our pictures printed since I always like to keep them in an album. Hopefully, I'll have time to post a few on our old thread this weekend!

Well, we currently have ~ 15 of Jake's friends at our house . I LOVE when he has kids over so I don't mind the $40 Wal-Mart run to feed them. Johnny is here and is telling everyone how great the cruise was. It's so cute he was saying "Disney is THE best cruiseline and no one can compare" . I have created a Disney fan.

I'm glad Sabrina is excited about our Fantasy cruise in 3 short years . She is such a cutie-pie. I'm glad she was my buddy on the stingray excursion . I got a few cute pictures of us on the boat ride back to shore. I've already warned JorDan that I love kids, so she may in trouble on our Fantasy cruise having a 2/3 year old .

Well, I'm off to go hear Johnny play his guitar. I told him he should have brought it on the ship for talent night. Oh well, maybe next time.

I'm here! I have almost convinced Tony to do this!!! I cant even find a thread for the Med cruise next year so I am sooooo over doing that!

Now, when I push my dates back, am I allowed to be honest with Disney about why I am doing it, or is this a big secret and frowned upon by them?!!!!

We're now off to pick out our new carpets . . . thank goodness for insurance! Bit of an incident last month when Tony dropped dinner all over it, which was a red tomato sauce . . . not so pretty on my cream carpet!

She is super excited. I think it is a hoot that like JorDan said, we have no clue how much it will cost for the cruise but we are all going! I am already trying to figure out if me and Sabrina need a balcony or if we can get by with just a window. I can't imagine having no window (love the sun) but it would be nice to save the $$ on a balcony.

We had some excitement yesterday. Not to panic anyone -- really, I am not that worried but since it is on FB thought I would give you guys the details. Kai has had some funky heart things going on. He has these incidents where he comes to me and says "Mommy, my heart hearts" or "Mommy, feel my heart" and it is pounding a million beats per minute (ok, more like 180). It freaks him out. This happened 3 times before we left for the cruise. He was on antibiotics for the strep so we assumed it was the meds BUT he had another incident on Thursday night. We had put him to bed and he came out of his room about 10 minutes later complaining of this. It freaks him out. So I called the DR yesterday thinking he would tell me to keep an eye on it. Wellll.....he asked us to come in immediately. He checked Kai and said it may be one of 2 things --WPW or SVT. He sent us to the hospital for an EKG which we all agreed would most likely be normal but then he presecribed a Holter EKG which is a portable EKG that Kai will wear for 24 hours in the hopes that it catches the incident. These things don't happen that often so both Yoni and I figure this will not show anything either but, curious as the DR as to why our little one is having these "events" we agreed and he has been hooked up to this thing since 4 yesterday. I am pretty sure we will end up at a Pediatric Cardiologist and see what they tell us. Nothing is life threatening but it is good to figure it out now rather than later. No worries anyone -- we are confident he will be fine but better to figure it out now than later when he is in the texas heat on a football field!!!!

We have another Finnish gathering tonight. This time the group is smaller, they all have kids and seem like a lot of fun. We'll see....

Kathy -- we head to Costco this morning and I'll get my water camera developed. You and Brian were FABULOUS with Sabrina. She really liked you guys and talked about you and JorDan the other day when she was talking about the stingray thing. You are great with kids.

We had such a great time with you guys on the Island tour. Again Mati, LOVE your kids manners, gave me something to remember to use.
Also, sorry about Kai and his heart problem!! That is scary!! The halter EKG is a GREAT thing and can really help a diagnosis. Just make sure to mark exactly what he is doing when his heart starts to palpitate like that. Hopefully it's nothing to serious!

Sonya, glad you got new carpet. You could of just smeared more red sauce all over and just had a funky red rug! haha

Can't wait for 2012!!! I know Auntie Kathy will be happy to babysit for maybe our first Palo (or whatever it will be) visit.

Yeah Sonya !!! I think you can be honest about the real date you want to sail. I was with Jocelyn on the ship when I booked ours. She used a date of 12/4/10. She said that was the "official" faux booking date to use that indicated that you really wanted a date not released yet.

In a strange way, I'm almost glad the cruise is three years away. I get a lot of enjoyment in planning our Disney trips. And getting to plan it with all my Key Lime Pie-rates friends is even better !

Wow -- having trouble finding this thread. It just blurs or something in with the others. I guess I am not used to looking for it.

I am with you Kathy -- half the fun is the planning -- at least for me. Let's see how much planning "joy" I can get out of the 2 days in London this Christmas. Sonya, if you have any ideas, let me know. I think I picked the hotel, now to reserve it.
