Do you think DVC will have the points requirements for booking the new itineraries this Friday?
Are they usually released at the same time bookings open?

I was going to ask the same thing! I'm wanting to book one of the Canadian itineraries!

There will be reports tomorrow on our Cruise Board and possibly here of those Gold and Platinum Members who book - they get an early booking day for the new cruises.

So watch the boards....I wish I had the info today as I am interested myself..

I phoned ms today and they said that charts will be available from tomorrow. If you are gold or plat then you can book tomorrow, but they will give out info if you are not. The rest can book from friday. Ms didn't know when it be online

I also called this afternoon. They said they will have the points charts by fri. I need to decide whether to book on cash or points but either way want to book on fri.

They have gone to terrifying!!!:confused3

A 4-night cruise in September/October in 2011 is considered a 'value season', while the 4-night cruise in September/October in 2012 is considered a 'high regular season'???????

I just booked my very first cruise but will pay cash...always borrowing points already so maybe this will give me a chance to 'catch up"

regarding booking with points, does the number of points increase
as the ship fill up?

oh, while i 'm thinking about it....does anyone know if there
are discounts like they do for platinum members?

...and the 10% discount offers toward future cruises? [ we
have 3 booked from previous cruises that we haven't used
yet.]

thanks.

No the chart is set for the period of time, once established.

No discounts or onboard credits apply to point bookings. There is an approximate 10% point discount that applies to point bookings made within 3 days of debarking a cruise. It is subject to availability at the time of booking.

No, because once the alloted number of staterooms DVC is permitted is filled, there is no more booking on points. There very well may be staterooms left on specific cruises, but once the DVC inventory is gone, it is gone.

We just booked one of the Canada/New England on points. It's a lot but better than cash!

512 points for a 5 night Canada on Magic in inside 11A, 2A2C
vs
256 points for a 4 night Caribbean on Dream in outside 9B, 2A2C

Although the Caribbean is in October which is hurricane/cheap season.
