Hoping all our friends made it through the snowloween. It's chilly here in SC but knowing you all makes it feel a little warmer!

Hey kraeurb
Love the Beeker outfit. Got a feeling a whole new generation is getting ready to discover the Muppets with the new movie.

:banana::banana::banana::banana:Tomorrow is ADR day!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

That is all :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

We aren't doing the dining plan but have finally decided on our sit downs. We will be there 10 days, 9 nights.

Akershaus on arrival night for DD's birthday dinner.
50's Prime Time dinner on our DHS day.
'Ohana dinner on my birthday
Tusker House late breakfast on AK day.
Cape May Cafe breakfast on a resort/DTD day
Crystal Palace (crossing fingers at an 8:05 ressie) for one of our MK days.

DH and I are going to sit down tonight and plan some others. I may end up cancelling some, but I would like to have some more planned.

Hey SydandPaige'sMom,
Was wondering how all the ADR's worked out? Especially the early CP. Figure that is getting harder to get as it becomes more popular. We've done it a couple times and really love it. How did the new reservation with $$$ go? Easy?

We're heeeeere! We checked in yesterday and I'm posting now from my iPad with my snoozing DD beside me.

Guess you must be having fun! Hope all is still going well.

Nine more days until we're at my favorite place!!!!!! Can someone who just visited tell me if they are still doing the free WiFi? Still doing bounce back offers? Can't wait to get away from the cold and snow-at least we didn't lose power.

Single Digit Dance :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Yes they are still sporting free WiFi... bounce back?????

Wifi still works! I'm here now and there's no bounce back offer in the room.

The ceiling fan in our room was on high with the pull chain missing. I kept forgetting to call and report it and I finally did yesterday. I'm so glad I did! We got to meet a hilarious crew from engineering and electrical when we came back to the room after lunch, and came back from MNSSHP to a brand new fan! Great service!

Party was so fun! Didn't feel overcrowded to us at all.

We spent yesterday morning at DHS, and the Christmas decor was already going up!

Marlton Mom mentioned this a few days ago.

Does anyone know if the Yacht Club/Beach Club resort wear has started to show up at the Marketplace. Or when it might arrive?

They were NOT there when we were Oct. 20th - 29th and I asked about them and was told that they have no idea when they would get any. I was sad as we really wanted a Beach Club tee. We noticed the GF had theirs though. Marketplace just said they were told merchandise would be there sometime this year and yet they haven't seen anything yet. They told us to write Disney about it, hoping that would do something.

Who was it that loves the pretzel rolls in the WS?:confused: Look what I found in my grocery freezer yesterday! I bought some but have not made them yet. Just thought I would pass it along.

OOHH thank you for this DH fell in love with pretzel bread and now we're on a mission to find these!

We were there from Oct 20th - 29th and did have free Wifi, but of course it went VERY slow during peak times (1pm to 10pm) because everyone else was on it. DH did most of his uploading at midnight-1am and it was much better. The Bounceback offer when I was there was free dining from August 17th to September 27th, which wasn't anything we really wanted, so we passed. They might have changed it though on the 29th.

Well we are back and landed when the snow was happening. I really wanted to stay an extra day, but no such luck our plane was on time and the flight was perfect.

The Beach Club to us is HOME!! DH fell in love with it. Pretrip he kept talking about trying other resorts and such, but once we were there it was all about the Beach Club and he says he can't imagine staying anywhere else. He loved the access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Our room was perfect, we were excited to get a king size bed and we had a juliet balcony, but we both fit out there fine. We could see Illuminations (through the tress) from the balcony which was awesome.

We ate 2 mornings at Cape May and 3 at Captain's Grill, both were good. DH loved SAB and went down the water slide at least 10 times while there. Beaches and Cream is a slice of heaven on earth. The best ice cream ever. Our mousekeeping was awesome and left us surprises every other day. We got to meet Teena who was super nice, and DH felt like he met a celebrity and was constantly looking for her to wave to her from then on. lol Kept asking if she was working, etc.

We kept calling the trip a once in a lifetime trip before we went, now DH calls it a twice in a lifetime (because he wants to go back next year). Oh we did have a phone book and got a picture of the coffee pot (we don't drink coffee or tea so I have no idea what make/model it was). I'll post pictures when I'm on my home computer. DH took over 1,200 pictures and videos when we were there. :3dglasses

Needless to say I hope it's ok I stick around in the thread for awhile as DH wants nothing to do with other resorts now and only has eyes for the Beach Club. He kept thanking me for doing all the research and spending so much time on the trip it was cute! :)

Rorey,

You have me looking forward to our first trip to BC even more!:cool1: Thanks for your review.

Rorey

I know how your DH feels!! We stayed YC last year for the first time, LOVED IT. Stayed BC this year for the first time, LOVED IT!!! DD can't imagine staying anywhere else. the staff is great, love the rooms, SAB is so nice mid-day, the eateries are all great, and I love how easy it is to walk to EPCOT each night.

It just wouldn't be the same elsewhere!!

Now if I could just get a PIN code (or a GP discount) in my email I could start planning our trip for next year!!!

Becky- so glad you had a great trip and loved the Beach Club resort! Thanks for your review.

Of course you can stick around here!!! My last trip was July 2010, and they haven't figured out how to get rid of me yet!

This is what we are waiting on too. We're saving up right now (as DH wants to pay cash again), but we need a PIN to make it happen. We want to go mid-late November for Christmas next year. DH's parents have never been and we know they would love Epcot and we're hoping they will go with us too, but they aren't really "disney" people, they feel it's all for kids. lol MIL wants to feel the magic, but it would truly be a miracle if she did feel it. She's never been a one with an active imagination, she's more of the glass is half empty not half full type. So we'll see. :rotfl:

Ahhh, don't you just love that type!!! Sounds like you may just have to leave her near in the bar to keep filling that glass up :drinking1:drinking1, while you and DH head to the parks to have some real fun!!!

An even better idea, would be for you and DH to go for Christmas time, and just Text the inlaws pics during your stay :rotfl2: It's a win-win situation.

I just hope to see a discount soon, Rack rate is something I don't like to pay.

I paid our trip in full yesterday!!!!! WooHoo!!! Surprise upgrade to the BC that the kids do not know about (they think we are staying at POR). Trying to come up with clever ways to surprise them. We don't want them to know until we pull in on the magical express bus. :)

I do have a question though. I paid for a standard room which is all we have every paid for and ever got. In our 3/4 stays at the BC we usually are looking at a roof. We have never had a good view or been blessed with Pixie Dust and got an upgrade (nor have we expected it). But I am wondering if the upgrade to a garden view will guarantee NO ROOF or other UGLY views. I would like a decent view, as this is one, a surprise resort upgrade, and two possibly our last family visit to WDW, as we are celebrating our sons graduation from High School. Who knows if his schedule will ever be the same as his younger siblings to enjoy a family vacation again.

We really want this to be special. That is why the surprise upgrade to the BC. It is theirs and our favorite resort!!!!

I can't remember either. I think it was some PIA who likes to distract everybody from the daily grind of BC/YC question and answers...

If I remember I'll let you know.

With the new categories, if you pay for a garden view (which is normally less than $10 per night), you are guaranteed a view that is not a roof or parking lot. It will NOT be a lake or pool, but it will be something green (woods, courtyard or garden). You may want to call and change it over to a garden view just to be sure.

Thanks for the quick responses to my question about the WiFi and BB offers.

I forgot to ask about the construction at the YC- is the construction in the front of the hotel or the back? by SAB or more toward the Swan and Dolphin?

Teena, when do you leave for vacation? We will be there Nov 11-18.

Thanks Teena! I think I will "surprise" my husband and upgrade the room :) Since he surprised me with the upgrade to the BC Can't wait to see you again. We meet a couple of years ago, we talked forever about your daughter and "our" Catholic faith.
