Hey GC&S...You may have already done so but I encourage you to tell Disney of any problems. I really think they want to know when there is something not magical with your trip. Here is a copy and paste of customer relations from the first page.

We did contact the front desk to have the trash cans emptied and when we got back in the room that night, everything had been cleaned up. So we let it go. The rest of the week mousekeeping was fine. I wonder if they were leaving us so much shampoo to make up for it :cool1:. I should have taken a pic of all the bottles we had accumulated.

Hey nannette. Hope this week is going better. Life can seem upside down sometimes. Checking the boards and venting are two of the main reasons we are here.

Thanks Mike. I'm hoping this week is better... we have all the deliveries being made on Wednesday and then the big move date on the 2nd. Things can only get better. Just always feels better to type it out!!! Thanks for putting up with my whinning :thumbsup2 I'm not normally a whinner but the last few months have taken their toll on me!!! It will be over soon enough though :) Thanks for the support!!

Shameless post to see my ticker!!

If I were you I'd ask for the Matthew McConaughey view.
Here's a picture. I hope that 'helps'...

Matthew McConaughey view room at BC by Marlton Mom, on Flickr

Marlton Moi

I just sent this to IPO as my room request... can't wait to see what their response it! :rotfl:

I keep forgetting to ask. I know that you can rent a Surrey at the BW. Can you rent regular bikes like you can at POR too or just Surrey's? And does BC have any or just at the BW?

I am 99.9% sure I remember seeing regular bicycles there for rent (adult and child size).

Not Sunday! Sooner! I'm working Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday but then I'm off until 11/20.

Sounds like we will miss you! We don't get in until Tue 11/1 :sad1: Have fun on your cruise!

And could everyone PLEASE hold off on the rain dance until we return? There are 2 tropical systems brewing in the Caribbean and we had more than enough rain and cold last November that we don't want a repeat!! Thanks :wizard:

Dee- if you need any pictures, please let me know? I would be happy to snap away again! :goodvibes

Do you want me to make up a Borat wearing the lime green mankini in the trees shot in case the Mathew McConaughey view is booked for your dates?

(I'm going to have to start wearing a 'Depends' under "garment" when reading this thread!!!)

Thank you!!! I will let you know!

Is there a chance that IPO has emailed a November activities schedule to you?
It may be a little early still.

I never got one for October but I like to add these to the front of the thread.

If you get one, could you PM it or email it to beachclubdee@yahoo.com

Thanks!

Marlton Mom mentioned this a few days ago.

Does anyone know if the Yacht Club/Beach Club resort wear has started to show up at the Marketplace. Or when it might arrive?

Boy you really made me laugh because the first thing I thought of was "Gee, if I post that Borat in the lime green mankini picture again I really will be infamous".

Thanks for not re-posting that! Seeing that once was MORE than enough!

Anyway, I am glad you are thinking of going to the Hoop-De-Do and that apparently it's going to be a party as Teena will be going with you. All the talk about it has me considering changing my plans. Thanks to you and MickeyT and others for "setting me straight" :cool1:

Again would suggest subscribing to touringplans website or buying Unofficial Guide to WDW. Great touring plans mapped out in there with a lot of research behind t

I own a copy of the 2011 and 2012 Unofficial Guide plus the 2011 color companion. I also listen to WDWtoday three times a week which often stars such Unofficial Guide or Touring Plan luminaries as Len Testa, Fred Hazeleton or Henry Work.

Thanks for the advice for taking a cab after wishes. For some reason, that wasn't one of my cab choices so I'll keep it in mind. As for seeing the fireworks on Main Street. I think for my family, it would be better to see it at the California Grill. The main reason for this is our desire to have as many unique to WDW experiences. My family and I have seen Remember, Magical and the Christmas firework shows right in front of the castle out in Disneyland. Seeing it from the 16th floor (hopefully while eating but if not, then out on the viewing area) would constitute something different for us. Sure it will be a little off center but that's ok.

Thanks the videos. Hopefully you don't mind if I keep asking questions here. Like I've said, I feel more comfortable talking to you guys here than I do the normal trip planning area (and in all cases, I will be staying at the Yacht Club thus making the whole scenario a topical one for this thread)

To Laffites Landing - We took a cab last week to HDDR from BC and it was around $18. The cab will drop you off right inside the gate and then you have to take a bus to Pionneer Hall. Added about 10-15 more minutes. Our ADR was at 5 but we saw lots of people being seated between 5:15 and 5:30. They start immediately serving when you sit down. We would have taken the bus to MK and then the boat but we were running late from Epcot.

To get you in the mood:

Awesome pictures! I especially like the one of your daughter with the "red" headed female performer!

These pictures did get me in the mood. I'm moving our Hoop-De-Do show to later in the week but I think my family will LOVE it and am looking forward to seeing it myself.

Have you run your plan by your kids or is this a surprise trip? I asked Nathan who will turn 8 while there about our first 2 days since I was rethinking about our plan after seeing responses to yours. Nathan really wants to go to DTD and the Lego store on his actual Bday. He likes the idea of our first day either going to AK (we only need a few hours there) or just hanging around the Epcot resorts with no plans in set in stone. Then the next day we will go to DTD (his bday) and maybe DQ. Then dinner at Garden Grill that evening at 4:30. Gives us plenty of time to be back in room for Superbowl. Had to change our reservations around some. Changed the Cape May reservations to a night where we can get the Calamari which we love.

Anyway when talking to him most of the things he is looking forward to the most are things very low key. The arcade, Lego store and the build your own roller coaster thing in Epcot. I think that they have one in DQ as well. Oh and I forgot about the swimming. Going in Feb. so that will be hit or miss.
We are going to try and make this the first non go, go trip. Or at least try.;)

Years ago we did do HDDR on arrival night. We were staying at POR at the time. Don't remember the details of getting there I just know it did include the boat and we have never taken a taxi. It was a nice start to our trip. We arrived early afternoon sometime. It was a fun time but we have not rescheduled a trip there since. We are not eligible for the DDP so that factors into our dinner reservations. Have to try and keep the costs down.

BTW, I love reading about your trip plans. Helps me with mine as well!:thumbsup2

Hey Rusty. Yeah my kids know exactly where and when we are going. They even tell me stop talking about it because it gets them "too excited" so I have to tamper it down every now and again. I think I'm more excited than anyone. Anyhow, my whole family is looking forward to the whole experience but there are particular rides everyone wants to experience. Pretty much the whole family wants to do Rock N Roller Coaster and my son desperately wants to do Mission: Space. My daughter is beyond excited about Cinderella's Royal Table and my wife and I are looking forward to all the different dining options.

Yeah, Mission: Space, what can I say, he's 10 and is nuts about space. So there you go.

ACK! No!! :scared1: I much rather have the parking lot view than the Borat view! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Great planning Allen. Just feeling you out and sounds like you an uber planner like most of us. Fire away with the questions. As you can probably tell we're not shy!

Nanette - wishing you the most magical and RELAXING vacation ever!

Thank you Robyn! The rest of the travel documents came today and that put a big smile on my face... it's fun when you are staying DVC and non DVC and then DVC again means triple the Mickey mail!!!

How is your mom? Haven't seen you post lately and I was thinking that yesterday and when I checked this morning there was a post from you!!

Thanks again for the well wishes!

Coffee Maker Update:

One of the CM's in the housekeeping back office told me that the Keurig single pod coffee makers are being put in the suites and I think she said (but not totally sure - I was running out to the time clock) the club level rooms. The rest of the rooms are getting that other type where you can put in two pods at a time and get two separate cups ... she said "you can be making regular coffee and your husband can be making tea or decaf at the same time". She mentioned the name but I can't remember it.

She said the YC was done and they are working on the BC. She did not mention the Villas.

So, I guess we need reports from the club level rooms and the non-club level rooms to verify and of course the Villas but I would assume the Villas would probably get the ones that are in the non-club level rooms.

It was a great two days at work. Met so many old Dis friends (Amanda and Vanessa to mention a few) and made some new friends too. I LOVE MY JOB!

I'm glad you had a great day!! :woohoo:

Teena, do you know if there is there any scuttle butt on resort specific wear or should I break out my sharpie markers and white T-shirts and do it myself??

Signed,
Can't draw to save my life in Marlton.
