Woohoo!!! We just booked at the Villas for the week before Memorial Day. We were surprised we got in. DVC home resort of WL and wanted to try something new with BCV. The pictures are amazing and we're looking forward to the short walk to Epcot and The Boardwalk. SO EXCITED!!!

Leaving for airport any minute! Forgot to get trading pins from e-bay. Is there anywhere at Disney to buy cheap pins to trade? We will have a car. Thanks in advance!

Congrats!

Do you want us to add you to the Page 1 Guest List? What are your checkin/checkout days?

Not that I'm aware of but you could quick buy them from ebay and pay for overnight shipping to your resort.

Why bring pods from home when I'm thinking that if you make dog eyes at the house keepers they will probably leave you a couple of extras to support your habit... ; )

Signed,
Mrs. Snagged extra shampoos for Natebenma while I was in Disney

Last time I left a nice note for mousekeeping for more coffee they left me ...... decaf.......:sad2::scared1::eek:

?? Big Lady Lumps ???.... equal 'Pods'? Now I'm really confused. I used to think the Aussie Chicks were bad but now I'm wondering about you Canadian ladies. You're not swinging from the moose antler chandelier and drinking Molson are you?

Marlton Moi

I can't believe I'm about to do this. Hopefully I'm not too drunk on Moose pee to succeed at this task.

I do not drink coffee. Therefore, prior to yesterday, I had no idea that K cups related to a coffee pod thingee. I am clued in now thanks to the Y&BC Thread. :thumbsup2

I ASSumed that K cups referred to breastage. For example, I currently have B cups. Last year, I was nursing and had D cups. I've never actually seen K cups (that I'm aware of), but I am sure that there are many ladies whose lady lumps are K cups. (MM - see how I threw in the lady lumps just to clue you in)

For the life of me, I had no idea why bra size and coffee went together but I didn't question it - possibly because I was too busy making a moose antler/molson can mobile to hang over my son's crib. :confused3

:rolleyes1

We're back from our BC stay. Our phonebook-less BC stay. That's right folks, NO phonebook  I did put in a compliant with Teena.

Aside from that, BC was great. CL staff was friendly, helpful and we never wanted for anything. The lounge was busy at times, but the food was always restocked quickly. Standard fare for breakfast, tired of the same snacks all the time, then the lounge offerings were potstickers (twice), raspberry brie puffs (twice), lobster salad, shrimp salad, crab rangoon, egg rolls, some flaky pastry stuffed with cheese (wish it was twice). I'm sure I'm forgetting some hot things.

The walk to Epcot was quick. Never had issues with buses - I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes, maybe 10 once, or less. Weather was fantastic. Mid 80s with a breeze.

The kids loved the pool. They quickly tired of the parks and asked to go to the pool and then stayed at the pool for hours.

Would do BC again.

There is a discount/outlet place in Orlando a friend of mine goes to get pins for about $2 each. I'll try to find out the name from her.

Do any of you know where I'm talking about?

Just wanted to let you know you can update our dates on the guest list to 4/23-5/3 :)

Glad you enjoyed yourself despite the missing phone book. It was great talking with you!

How could you even SEE your Koerig over those monsters???? :lmao:

:lmao: !!!!!

Oh, good to know. I love hot and iced tea as well. No residual coffee taste?

Marlton Mom, if you ever try to make tea with the type of coffee makers that used to be in the rooms, just take out the filter. No coffee taste at all. Won't help at Y&BC now, though. :rotfl:

I had this problem at POFQ in 2008 and I'm thinking that we couldn't operate the machine with out the basket in....

For the life of me, I had no idea why bra size and coffee went together but I didn't question it - possibly because I was too busy making a moose antler/molson can mobile to hang over my son's crib. :confused3

Ohhhhhh, I get it! :rotfl2:

Say, you wouldn't consider selling some of those Antler/beer can mobiles? I have a couple of baby showers coming up and they would make PERFECT gifts!

In other news I have survived my Hot air balloon trip :thumbsup2 and I'll let you know when I post the pics. I mention it because at DTD, which you can get to from the Beach and Yacht Clubs  there is a giant, tethered Mary Poopins Balloon (sorry, I'm leaving that typo in, some typos just need to be left for others to enjoy!) that you can ride straight up and straight down to see the sights. I would encourage those staying at the BC/YC to consider giving this ride a shot even if you are afraid of heights. My DH and DS were not a fan of heights and they just loved our untethered 45 minute ride. It was so peaceful and enjoyable.

Remember, when returning from DTD, you can always hop on a boat to a resort (POFQ comes to mind) and then take the resort bus to the front of Epcot and hoof it to the BC from there as well as taking transportation directly from DTD to the BC/YC.

So there is your (recycled, it's what we do here!) tip of the day!

We are thinking of doing this one day on our trip. Maybe the day that Nate and I are on our own. We love the beignets at POFQ.

I keep forgetting to ask. I know that you can rent a Surrey at the BW. Can you rent regular bikes like you can at POR too or just Surrey's? And does BC have any or just at the BW?

What time does the ferry boat from the beach club start that goes over to the boardwalk? also, where can I find where the EMH and later hours are for the days we are there next year?? thanks everyone for your help.

Hi all. I am new to this forum and don't have as pretty a profile as the rest of you do. Anyway, I will be headed to the world June 18-28, 2012 for the first time in over 14 years. It'll be the very first time for my son and daughter, although we are Disneyland veterans.

I know this isn't the forum for it necessarily but we have decided to stay Yacht Club Concierge Level and I was hoping all of you WDW vets could help me with some general as well as resort specific questions over the next several months.

I have read this entire thread and spend a few minutes each day catching up with it. I have found the advice given here better than any other place online so I hope I'm not intruding.

Thanks,

Allen

P.S.-I wish I could include one of those signatures with the following info:

Me DW DS-10 DD-6

Hi Allen

:welcome: to the DIS and this forum.

I'll add you to the Page 1 Guest List.

For the signature- go to user CP (control panel) at the top of the page.

Under Options and Settings you will find Edit Signature.

Type in your text and to get the smilies, just click on ones that you like.

Once you save it, it will automatically appear under your posts.

You can test it here, or there is a page specifically on the DIS to test your signature.

********************************************************

To create a trip ticker (one of the bands with a picture at the bottom of your signature that shows your trip countdown), click on one that you see that you like and it will take you to the site where you can create one. Then you copy the link into the Signature (see above)

Hope that helps, but if not, maybe I or someone else can explain it better.

Dee

PS- How are you doing with all the acronyms?
