Good to know that K cups refer to some sort of coffee pod contraption. I have been wondering for some time what big lady lumps had to do with coffee...

We check in to BCV in Dec. Can we request a view? Also, what views are available?

BCV is not known for its views. You can request a pool view or a woods view. Higher floor woods views *may* get you a limited view of Epcot - Spaceship Earth and/or high Illuminations fireworks.

Why bring pods from home when I'm thinking that if you make dog eyes at the house keepers they will probably leave you a couple of extras to support your habit... ; )

Mrs. Snagged extra shampoos for Natebenma while I was in Disney

And my hair has never looked better!!! Thanks!

Thanks for the info- but blechhh! Not a fan of the pods. Need MORE coffee than 1 cup at a time.

I believe my very first post to this thread (well, a few versions back) was what kind of coffee makers are at resort.

Can someone who is going soon take and post a picture?

And confirm if it is in all rooms.

Thanks!

Dee

I wonder what brand coffee they will have? Still Nescafe :sad2: blech!

What about us tea drinkers? Can tea be made somehow in these coffee pod machines? (Are there "tea pods")?

-- tea drinker feeling discriminated against

Now Marlton Mom is going to tell you a little story, and this one is just in time for Halloween!

Once upon a time there was a desperate woman. Her initials were M and another M (the names have been changed to protect the innocent!) Anyway this woman was D E S P E R A T E !!! and going through Iced Tea withdrawl during a long ago trip to WDW. She had the shakes, she had the quakes and she thought she would come up with a way to save herself from a life without her beloved Iced Tea.

Looking around the room she spied a coffee maker and she thought in her infinite wisdom that she could just throw some tea bags in the brewer basket, fill that sucker up with water and WHA LA! Iced tea!!! (Ice cubes not included)

She paced the room anxiously as the little coffee maker burbled and brewed.

Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
And Finally the time had come! The pot was full of liquid gold.............................. OR SO SHE THOUGHT!

She carefully put in her equal and and tanker truck of lemon juice, applied the ice and after stirring it lovingly, she took..... just a sip!

A shriek like no other let loose from the depths of her soul! Writhing in agony on the floor, clutching her 1 remaining taste bud she screamed "What have I done, what have I done"!!! over and over again.

It seems she had invented that vile concoction know as coffee flavored iced tea. (not available in Canada) A beverage so vile the devil himself refuses to serve it in hell.

Undaunted, she took the coffee pot to the bathroom sink and gave it a scrubbing unlike it had ever seen before, Scrub, scrub, scrub and scrub some more with resort shampoo..... that's how desperate this woman was for the nectar of the Gods. But sadly it was not to be. The little coffee pot, as hard as it tried, could only brew coffee flavored iced tea.

Defeated, our heroine trudged to the refillable mug station, dragging with her the tiny little, Disney approved, god forbid you bring the refillable mug from your last trip, official, 2 ounce refillable mug and chained herself to the "Gold Peak" iced tea dispenser and threatened a 'sit in' until the CM's refilled it's thermal carafe with her addiction of choice.

Every once in awhile, when it's very quiet at night, MM can hear her kidneys discussing that trip to Florida, in the heat, with it's dehydrating weather. She can hear them speak of the time there was hardly any iced tea for them to filter. They shudder and kick her in the spine for her thoughtless lapse.

No Virginia, There is no Iced Tea in the rooms.
....and Santa is dead. Your kidneys will hate you as you shrivel up and dry in the Florida heat.

There is no hope for the Tea drinkers of the 'World'....

Signed,
Dried out in Marlton

?? Big Lady Lumps ???.... equal 'Pods'? Now I'm really confused. I used to think the Aussie Chicks were bad but now I'm wondering about you Canadian ladies. You're not swinging from the moose antler chandelier and drinking Molson are you?

We check in to BCV in Dec. Can we request a view? Also, what views are available?

If I were you I'd ask for the Matthew McConaughey view.
Here's a picture. I hope that 'helps'...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: This story is so funny.

I used the coffeemaker to heat water to make some oatmeal for breakfast one morning.

The resort offers free fridges. Next time take your refill mug and fill it with the Iced Tea. Go outside the back door by the Marketplace. Then take an empty bottle and dump your liquid gold into it. Return to the Marketplace for a refill of your Iced Tea. Take your bottle of Iced Tea to your room to enjoy later.

Honestly I took my mug from the room down to fill it with coffee a few times. I figured it cost WDW less money if I did that. The cost of the coffee pucks/pod and the package of creamer, sugar and stir sticks must be more than a cup of the large pot of coffee and the creamer in the Marketplace. Not to mention the Mousekeeper having to clean the coffee pot each day.

Transportation Update....So the Y&BC's will know. Won't have to go to CR and walk over anymore. C&P off WDW Magic.

The Magic Kingdom bus load zones are about to undergo a major overhaul as new load zones are added for Disney's Art of Animation Resort. At the same time, new zones will be added to allow the Park to Park busses for Animal Kingdom and the Studios to go via the Magic Kingdom instead of the TTC. New zones will also service the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts, the Magic Kingdom to TTC, and Magic Kingdom to Epcot. These load zones will provide bus backup routes for times when the monorail is unavailable or running over capacity.

Now back to your tree and tea.......

WOW!!! We leave in 2 days!!! I can not believe it!!!! Even my hubby who is not the biggest disney fan is really really looking forward to it.

How is the weather down there? I read a couple of live trip reports where people are saying it's "cold" I looked online it says 75. :confused3

I packed some jeans and capri's and I am always eager to buy a new sweat shirt or hoodie when I am down there is that good enough :confused3

Thanks for the info!!! Smart change! I wonder when this will go into effect.

we have moved from the Poly over to the BC...My 22 yo daughter and 15 yo daughter will be coming with us so we have booked a water/pool view with requested balcony. She is graduating from college and its my husbands and I 25th anniversary so looking to do something special this trip.

Hi folks - who are our BC club level experts?

I need some info on the different rooms on club level - I've read so many things over the years, but don't have it all straight.

Would you like us to add you to our Page 1 Guest List?

Stephanie, I think the dates you listed in another post were 6/17 to 6/24. Beach Club? Then off to US?

Vicki- Jan? BC?

Have I missed anyone else who recently booked?

As always, please check out the Be Our Guest List to see if you are listed with the correct info.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dee

Havent posted in a while - I'm lost in ADR confusion! :lmao: Trying to draft an email to the planner in the cousin's family that's going at the same time and it's a brain twister! Subscribed to Touring Plans to get an idea of our park days, but since we are all staying at the lovely BC I think most of my ADRs will be for WS! :thumbsup2

As it stands, we are doing two character meals, both breakfasts: Cape May cafe for a non park day (or a non commando park day! LOL) and Crystal Palace. Can't imagine trying to get out for it soooo early that I can make rope drop, but I do want it nearly enough that the park is closed when we arrive, KWIM? I'm hoping that I can get four early mornings out of our 10 to get some good park time in. Then we can fill in the blanks for the other six days more relaxed, KWIM?

I am staring at my moose antler chandelier as I type this. Of course, I have it decorated with empty cans of Molson Canadian on strings, kind of like a bead curtain. :rotfl:

Yes,please add us to your list, that would be awesome! Yes, we will be in WDW at the BC from 6/17-6/24 then Universal at Royal Pacific Hotel from 6/24-6/30. We are so looking forward to this trip. First disney trip since 2002 and with so much to celebrate. I need to go back to do some more reading...missed seeing the guest lists for June 2012. Have a great day everyone. :)

I'm a huge Tea drinker (both hot and iced) and I use the Keuring to make tea all the time, I LOVE IT!!!! They make a lot of different tea K-cups but I also just use it for hot water with regular tea bags. Not sure if the Cuisinart had tea pods but you could always just use the tea bags and hot water from it.

Oh, good to know. I love hot and iced tea as well. No residual coffee taste?

Marlton Mom, if you ever try to make tea with the type of coffee makers that used to be in the rooms, just take out the filter. No coffee taste at all. Won't help at Y&BC now, though. :rotfl:

Booked one night stay at YC :cool1: DH and I are visiting F&W for a couple's only trip (1st time to WDW without the kids) There wasn't any availablity at CR for our first night, and since I broke my foot...I was looking to be close to Epcot/BW to check out the sights :goodvibes I am VERY excited. We are doing a family trip 2012 to BC (that DH doesn't realize I booked already :lmao:) so I hope this gets him excited....he didn't love BCV, but this will be awesome IMO. And that was awhile back......2 weeks from now I will be waking up in my YC room :lovestruc
