2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

Just back. While we were there, they changed from the 4 cup drip pot to the pods on the 5th floor. I imagine they are all changed by now.

Also, to the person who wanted to know about the hair dryers...we had a wall-mount. It wasn't overly powerful, but got the job done.

Thanks for the info- but blechhh! Not a fan of the pods. Need MORE coffee than 1 cup at a time.

I believe my very first post to this thread (well, a few versions back) was what kind of coffee makers are at resort.

Can someone who is going soon take and post a picture?

And confirm if it is in all rooms.

You have a wonderful Thanksgiving on the Oasis. We spent last Thanksgiving on the Disney Magic and it was fantastic!!

We'll definitely talk cruises ... soon I hope.

I'd love to - never been with Celebrity before! You've got all kinds of excitement coming up - fantastic! We have to wait Jim's Spring Break week so we are looking into a cruise in March. Waiting to see how we like the Oasis, whether or not we will book the Allure while on board.

Thanksgiving is a good week since Thurs and Fri are holidays for us. We already have the Disney Fantasy (7 nights) booked for Thanksgiving week 2012! We loved the Dream (3 nights) but it was waaaaaay too short!

Thanks to all of you that has responded...we have moved from the Poly over to the BC...as we were just unsure what to expect with all that is going on over there. What I would like to know is everyones opinion on this resort. What was your stay like..did you enjoy it, how spacious were the rooms?? My 22 yo daughter and 15 yo daughter will be coming with us so we have booked a water/pool view with requested balcony. She is graduating from college and its my husbands and I 25th anniversary so looking to do something special this trip. Having never stayed here, need lots of advice?? I am open to everything. thanks so much in advance. We plan to have the deluxe dining plan too.

So...what are the dates for your Disney trip? I've booked a trip for next May - May 18th through 29th.

I've stayed at the Beach Club, and I have to tell you - it is my FAVORITE! In the past, I've stayed at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk...but once I "discovered" the Beach Club last year, I'll never stay anywhere else. It just can't be beat with regards to location and services!!!

For something special for your anniversary, look into the Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's...or just a regular dinner there. We LOVE that - it's a night you'll never forget!

I'll be there a week from tomorrow, and will share photos and ask around. We're not staying CL, so I'm sure if we get one in our room then they'd be all over.

I feel just meh about the change. Leave it to Disney to go with pods just as the K-cup is rising to fairly dominant status in the market. I ditched my Senseo for a Keurig just this past Christmas. Hopefully the Cuisinart name means quality.

Sorry we'll miss you! We are hoping the decorations are up by Veteran's Day. For some reason, we thought they were in the past. At least we'll get to see the HS lights for sure.

But have a wonderful time on your cruise! Sounds like it will be a blast. Will you get to visit DL?

Maybe we'll catch you next time as we have ressies for MLK weekend in January and are getting ready to book Memorial Day weekend, too.

We are sailing 11/19 on the Oasis of the Seas for Thanksgiving week. We'll have to talk cruises when we both get back.

Last yr. we were there for Veterans day week and all decorations were up or at least most. We even saw the gingerbread house in GF. Hope you see it all!! It was my first xmas trip- it was the best!!!

Can't you just make more than 1 'pod', whatever that is....? And besides, I thought that first cup was just to get you down to the Marketplace so they could hook up the I.V. coffee drip.

Reports in other threads are saying that they've gone with a Cuisinart pod brewer that uses pods like the Senseo.

Oh my gosh Sherri!!! I miss you and the other board so much!! Yes, our dates are 6/17-24th at WDW and 6/24-6/30 at Universal we will be at the Royal Pacific....Sarah loves Harry Potter and is so excited to finally see the part of the park. Gosh darn it, wish you were coming then. I forgot how much you all love disney ...and were just there recently. Like I said we had planned to stay at the Poly but there are going thru some issues and a huge renovation is planned from what I hear so instead of being disappointed we just moved our hotel to the Beach Club...we have always LOVED the pool and had many great dinners at the Cape May Cafe...we are excited to try staying there. We never have before so should be awesome, like I said we have a water/pool view and requested full balcony. I hope we will like it. I understand the rooms are a real nice size too which will be great for us. We don't usualy stay deluxe either, rarely can afford it. but this is really a special occasion as you know. We have also stayed at the GF--loved it so much, Old Key West- love it there too, and POFQ- real nice as well. Please say hi to all my friends on the other board. Hope all is well. take care.

Why bring pods from home when I'm thinking that if you make dog eyes at the house keepers they will probably leave you a couple of extras to support your habit... ; )

Good idea! I guess a note might work too. Last year I left a not asking for more lotion and they left me about 10 bottles!
