Hi yall

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I will do my best to add it to front page tomorrow morning.

:cheer2:YACHT AND BEACH CLUB NOVEMBER 2011 LIST:cheer2:

~Nannette

Thanks, Nannette- updated page 1 :)

OK back from the mall and Disney Store. Visiting the store totally got DH excited! :cheer2: He found another Mickey shirt that he wanted and when I asked if they carried Landyards the associate said they didn't anymore, but online should have them (which I knew) and then gave me a Free Shipping code since the store didn't have what I wanted. Dh asked her if she had a PIN to give us for our upcoming trip.:laughing:

Does IPO always send the Pool Activity Schedule or did you send an email & request one? We are going in Sept...towards the end so I figured they can send it to me when it comes out after the first week in Sept.

Wow!!! To those of you that put together the new thread, it is fantastic! Love the updated photos and the "floorplan" for SAB.

Looks really cool!!!

So I hear that the infamous (or is it famous) Teena will be staying at BC while I'm there. Then how in the world will you be checking me in then! I put that down as a requirement not a request. Hmmm... I will have to contact guest services about this!!!

Anyway, can't wait to check in on the 12th of September and looking forward to bumping into some DISers while there!!! :cool1:

Thanks for your kind words about the thread! Lots of helping hands here!

Isn't that SAB labeled map amazing! So glad skeloosh allows us to share it!

Would you like us to add your trip dates to our Page 1 Guest List?

Sept 12-??? BC

Jar of Peanut Butter (I suspect folks are better off packing this!)- apparently, this may necessary as well.

Pun intended? Took me about 5 reads to get the extra humor in this!!!

I leave for a couple of weeks and look what happens. Yall go ahead and bust the other thread and move on me.

Hello to all the BC/YC experts!

We are currently booked at the Poly but are considering switching to the YC. We would have considered the BC but there is no availability for our dates (8/20 - 8/25). We usually stay at either the Poly or WL, but want to do something new this trip.

Anyone care to share any great tips or "secrets"? We will probably only do the parks for 2 or 3 days, so a couple of days we will be hanging out at the resort.

Thanks.

Hi Guys!

We are finally back. We got back very late last night. Today is the dreaded unpacking/laundry day!

Hi Robyn, so glad you had a wonderful trip! I was so disappointed that I didn't get a chance to see you! I think Pete (the cl cm) thought I was a stalker! He said I kept missing you by minutes!

I'm glad the dis meet went well. So sorry I couldn't be there! I tried so hard to catch up with you so I could leave Teena's gift with you. Instead, I left it at the club desk with Pete. He said he would give it to you or just run it down and give it to Teena for me. Sounds like she was surprised and enjoyed herself!

We had a wonderful time as well! I now have a new favorite room! We were in room 5636 and just loved it! The view of the fireworks was amazing and completely unexpected!

I'm ready to go back already! How crazy it that ;)

Just looked over August's activity schedule to get an idea what awesomeness is in store for next month. I did some searching in the past 2 Y&BC threads as well as the Dis in general but couldn't readily find info about the Mickey Tie Dye thing. Has anyone done this? What kind of cost was associated, was it a mob-scene, and would I be the only big kid participating??? I've always wanted to learn to tie-dye but no matter how many video tutorials and instruction pages I read I'm still totally scared to try it out on my own. I think this is because of the word "dye" which I totally would if I had a mishap with something like that. :cool2:

Yes, we're going to Tysons. I've never been there before, so I wanted to go see it.

Tysons is unquestionably the best mall ever - entirely worth the drive you are describing. I still get there occasionally when visiting my parents, but a shopping trip is not at the top of our list with three boys. I miss it!!! Good luck with your shopping trip!!! :wizard:

Adlergray, we haven't received this from IPO, so thanks so much for posting!!!!
Did you need to request it, or did they send it automatically?

And thanks to Mike for posting the movies schedule!!!

As some of you know we have a vacation planned for this week...Universal for 2 nights and the beach club for 6 nights. :cool1: My hubby works for the phone company and they may be going on strike this Saturday night at midnight:scared1:. We may have to postpone this trip until November, but right now I am sitting here typing with my fingers and toes crossed that all goes well!

The reason I am posting is to find out if there is anything that anyone wants me to find out while down there:flower3:. Prices on items or information or photos of anything.

I am crossing my fingers and praying that Teena will be feeling better by then. We have been waiting to meet her for quite some time. (I don't know that she will be well enough to work by then). Get well soon Teena so you can go visit that beautiful grandbaby of yours!!

I hear ya. And I'll be crossing my fingers-n-toes for you sending good vibes your way that all will go well. :goodvibes:goodvibes My hubby has been a bit nervous about the events of this week with the stock-market. When oil companies' stocks go down they tend to pull projects or put them on hold (which is sooooo aggravating considering their record earnings of late). If the engineering companies have no projects they lay folks off. Sure our upcoming trip is paid for but the what-ifs when we get back has us scared to death and questioning the trip altogether. I think that 2 month gap last April/May/June when DH was without work for the first time in 17 years really made an impression. :scared1: We really are praying we didn't mess up by thinking we had finally beat our YC booking curse. :sad2:

My family is doing the same...except we arrive in Orlando a day after you! I am crossing my fingers for you that there is no strike! Teena is one special lady! My family met her last year during our first BC stay. She greeted us right after we walked through those doors! I was on cloud 9...to finally get to the BC and so excited to meet Teena!!

Kerry

Thanks LovintheLodge! We could use all the crossed fingers and toes we could get!!! Find out tonight at midnight if they are on strike or not...all the while trying to pack just in case!!

Thanks sweetpee! I need all the good vibes we can get! If my DH was without work after 17 years, that would make a lasting impression on me too! Hope all goes well and you are able to take your trip!

Mid Day Update

It is hot here this week. 106 heat index today. Really makes CL worth it right now. Lot's of lounging around and snacks. Lots of wonderful CM's. Stella (housekeeping) and Edward (Club) make you go wow.

Yesterday were did rope drop at HS . Did all our rides (some twice with FP's) and out by 1pm. Not a lot of stopping to smell the roses in this heat. Ate lunch at Pizza Planet and carrot cake cookie at Writers Stop (beside Sci Fi). Carrot Cookie a must do for us. Friendship boat air was cool. Not cold but cooler than last year.

Flying Fish Cafe for early dinner late lunch at 5:30. Had a screamer sitting beside us. Waiter had to almost yell for us to hear. (note to parents of small children. when they are crying do not take them into candy shop to calm them. when you bring them out they will yell louder )

Did EMH at MK last night. We (I) was done by 1:30. Fun watching all the adults yawning in line. (Another WDW first :)) We are still fans of EMH morning. We did have a BC moment at MK. Buying Christmas ornaments at 1am and the CM (Glen) was a BC CM getting some overtime. We had a Yatch and Beach praise fest .

Slept in and SAB this morning. And now....
Off to AK and Yak and Yeti. First time at Y&Y too. More to come. :wave2:
