Hey everyone, day 2... Another day of relaxation.

So I'll post again tomorrow from the YC after a very fun filled day!

Night nite!

~Nannette

Thanks for the real time TR Nannette. Sounds like y'all are having a blast.

You mean to tell us you left Mr. Nannette HOME!!! Well I guess somebody has to keep filling those pin orders while you are away. Do you think he got lost in the new place or did you leave him a map? Usually those husbands hang out by the fridge until the beer and the chips are gone, then they start calling the take out places. I hope you left the menus under a magnet on the fridge!

~ MM

Haha yes I left him home like I always do when it comes to Disney!! He only calls a million times a day... Someday I'll get him here I hope! He'll be calling for take out every night but willbe fine just like always!

Ok an early post... Day 3. We checked out of BLT at 7am this morning and drove over to YC ...room was not ready and I wasn't surprised, so we checked our bags and headed to Cape May for breakfast 8am ressie. Cape May both breakfast and dinner were also first time places for us... They were ok. After breakfast we were off to the Animal Kingdom for DD first surprise the African Safari Trek! I booked this last week when our Dolphins in Depth tour was canceled. I received a partial credit from Disney for this tour after a few phone calls so it was worth it in my opinion. The tour is amazing! We've done a lot of tours that Disney offers and this one is one of the best highly recommend it! If anyone has questions just ask i'll do my best to answer. Once the tour was over about 3 hours we headed back to YC to our room on the 3rd floor with a perfect view of the wedding gazebo (I did request this view) when we look left we can see the lake very nice! DD did a quick change for her 3 o'clock golf lesson with a pro which is where I am now waiting for her. Once she finishes we are going back to the room to get ready for the 6 o'clock Cirque followed by 9pm ressie at Fultons. Our plan as of right now is to come back to the hotel after dinner and hit the gym for a while.

So there you have it our day 3 so far. I will post again tomorrow with updates from tonight.

I admit I'm totally stalking this thread for Nannette reports. It just seems more real because she's my noodle buddy I guess.

Glad your trip is going so well, Nannette! Can't wait to pass eachother in the night very soon!!! :woohoo:

My sand hill cranes are so funny. They eat out of my hand and I can pet them. Not Bob though ... they don't run away but they don't run up to him like they do with me. They hang out all day with us and when the food is gone or they want fresh water, they literally peck at the metal part of our lanai door and make a horrible noise until I go running out to take care of them. We have a friend come in once a day to take care of our 3 kittys and also to give the cranes fresh water and loads of food while we are gone. They absolutely love the bowl of fresh water every day. I really enjoy them.

Wow! You are so lucky!! I would LOVE that! That is just so cool!

Ok, now that you get it... Would you like to get on it? What are your checkin and check out dates? Which resort?
Yes ma'am! We'll be staying at Beach Club Villas checking in on July 22nd and checking out the 31st! Can't wait...just like everyone else:rolleyes1

Um... I thought the secret list was who got the room with Matthew McConaughey or Johnny Depp in it.

All I have to say is...either one will do just fine!
Shhh, that is the secret list. I was just trying to throw Lizziedog off.

Don't tell MM anything you want to keep secret.

Oops...now it's out of the bag! We all can share! :cool1:

Hi! I posted this question a couple of days ago, but i think it got lost in this quick moving thread!
Does anyone know if roll away cots are available for BC villas? TIA

Arrived home last night after 7 fun filled days at the YC CL- we had a GREAT time, weather was perfect 75-85 temps- a sprinkle on Thurs morning, otherwise sunny and beautiful.
I have 2 complaints about the dining. I called 6 months ago for reservations at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic. Our reservations were for 315, so we arrived 15 minutes early and were told that was a 20 minute wait-no big deal-so we sat outside on the benches in front of the windows and waited to be called. 65 minutes later I went to check to see how much longer. I was told that they had already called our name, but they never came outside. We left the at 530, in time to go to the 630 Fantasmic. You would think that with the number of people that eat here that they would have the buzzer things that let you know when you are called (like they have at Rose & Crown).

The next is at Beaches and Cream, we went here Thursday night after the fireworks at Epcot- I wanted to sit inside to have an ice cream, there were 6 empty tables- I was told that there was a 30 minute wait to get in there, so we stood in line at the take out window for 15 minutes- not one of the 6 tables had any one sit in them during that time.

I was able to request a "real" crib in BCV (instead of pack n play) so I would think you could get a rollaway. We paid cash for our room so I don't know if cash vs points makes a difference.

Ok to bring outsiders to the campfire? I am planning on meeting up with a local friend and her 2 little ones while we are in the world. I was thinking we could all get together at the campfire on the beach. Would this be ok?

those kind of activities (at any of the hotels actually) are generally open to anyone the only time it's not is if the activity is in the Stormalong Bay area, and then you have to be a guest to get in. Hope the little ones like the campfire.

Nannette! Naaaaannette!! Here girl! Come, come!
We NEED another update from your trip. popcorn::

How was Teena? Was she confused and welcoming people to POP again? Did you open the door to your YC room and find Johnny Depp swinging from the chandelier in his Pirate outfit pirate: ? (we won't tell Mr. Nannette!)

...and what did you have to eat today? I'm thinking it was something REALLY GOOD! How are the noodles? Please be sure to let them skype Pastina on your lap top if you brought one.

What parks did you go to and how was the weather? How was the water in Storm Along Bay? ..... And finally what fireworks show did you see tonight?

You can leave that stuff about the gym out. We all feel guilty enough as it is being such big loads at home. We can't imaging that someone would work out after a day at Disney!! One can only wonder what's in those coffee pods you must be drinking to have the energy for THAT!

Ok it's time to hit the keyboard! You can sleep when you're dead!!

Thanks in advance! ;)

I'd love some insight from the experts here...
We're going on Podcast Cruise 3.0 in June, 2012. My children don't know about it yet (it's a Christmas surprise that Teena helped me achieve) and they will be thrilled. We'll have 3 days/2 nights at Disney after the cruise. I started looking online for ideas about where to stay (initially I was thinking it might be a good opportunity to finally stay at AKV since it's a short trip so the distance to the parks wouldn't bother me as much). My DH chose BC as his first choice. I looked on the Disney website and there was basically every room category available. Today I was exploring the Disney website again and there are absolutely no rooms available at either BC or YC for our dates (June 29 - July 1st). Every other hotel at Disney has availability except BC/YC. Is this real? Or a computer glitch?

THanks,
Amanda

Computer glitch. I just did a fake booking with both no problem.

ETA: I'm no expert. Just FYI. lol

Checked with two managers today and they said the complete holiday activities list is not out yet but most of the stuff is the two weeks before Christmas. As soon as I get something concrete, I'll post it.
