Day 28 – Pool Day – Outback Steakhouse – DTD
Today was a non-event since we were coming back down to earth after an amazing three weeks in the parks and then four nights on the Disney Dream cruise, so it was a rare lie in for us since we had no plans or park tickets. We eventually got up around 10:00 and had a drive over to McDonalds near All Stars Resort for brunch. This place has had a major refurb since our last visit two years ago.
We returned back to the Hilton and spent most of the day in the pool until around 4:00 where we returned to our room for showers.
We did the final packing and checked the weight of our cases, ready for bag drop tomorrow at DTD. Tonight we had a voucher for House of Blues, however we decided on a change of plan and settled for Outback Steakhouse on Vineland Avenue.
Nigel: Steak, Fries and Salad – Cheesecake – Bud Light
Sue: Grilled Chicken and Fries – Chocolate Thunder from Down Under – 2 Captain Mai Tai’s
Emma – Grilled Chicken and Fries – Dessert Sampler – Diet Coke
Suitably replenished, we did our Virgin online check-in when we arrived back in our room. To finish the evening off we went to DTD to say farewell to Dominic Gaudious, who was performing as usual outside the balloon. He gave me a couple of CD’s in return for me shooting and editing some video, which he later loaded to his website.
Returning back to the Hilton at around 11:30 we finished a bottle of wine before having our last sleep in Orlando for this visit.
As you can gather, by this short report and few photographs, this is not something that we plan on doing again in the future. Next time we cruise, we will return home the day we disembark unless of course, we have some valid park tickets.
One day left to report - and 4 actual days before we return for our 2012 26 night visit......will I finish in time????
Coming up next – The Finale – Goodbye Disney
