Day 25 Castaway Cay & Pirates in the Caribbean Party
TODAYS VIDEOS Castaway Cay and Pirates in the Caribbean Party
For me, today was the highlight of the complete trip Castaway Cay.
On waking up I looked out from our balcony and was greeted by a beautiful sunrise on the approach into Castaway Cay.
I moved up to the top deck to get a better view.
The time was around 7:45 and the sun was already quite warm. A crew who quickly had the ship docked ready for us to go ashore met us at the key side. As the final rope was secured, we were greeted with a blast of Be our guest from the ships horn a nice touch!
Sue and Emma visited Cabanas for some breakfast but I decided to give it a miss.
We left the ship at around 9:15 and to my disappointment, the Castaway Post Office was closed so we never managed to get our Post Cards stamped also, the planned parasailing excursion had been abandoned due to the pending tropical storms approaching. We managed to hop on a tram just as it was ready to leave and we were soon at the beach area. Martin and Waynes families were already there.
I went snorkeling for a few hours, taking pictures and video along the way. There are plenty artifacts scattered along the seabed to keep you occupied. The swim back to shore was tiring due to the receding tide.
