Day 22 – Pop Century, Magic Kingdom and Crystal Palace
A rare lie in today due to a late night last night. We didn’t really have any plans for today since this would be our last full day before leaving for the cruise. As usual, our first stop was at Port Orleans for breakfast.
Nigel – Breakfast Wrap – Yoghurt – Mineral Water
Sue – Pancakes with Scrambled Eggs and Strawberries – Orange Juice
Emma – Pancakes with sausages – Diet Coke
After breakfast we returned to OKW to start our packing, which took up most of the morning. Sue and Emma decided have a final pool session whilst I caught up with some much needed sleep. I was woken by a horrendous downpour, which seemed to last for ages. Sue and Emma were still at the pool sheltering so I decided to drive down and collect them in the car.
After they had showered and dressed we decided to go to Pop Century for a light lunch.
Nigel – Chilli Dog with Fries – Ice Cream – Vitamin Water
Sue – Fries – Carrot Cake
Emma – Fries – Ice Cream
On the way out, we each had our photos takes against our birth decades.
We returned back to OKW to continue with our packing.
We caught the bus to Magic Kingdom for our final ADR at Crystal Palace. The queue at check in was quite long and this resulted in a good 30-minute wait before being seated. This gave us time to say farewell to Jim playing the piano at Casey’s Corner.
Martin, Wendy and the gang were farther down the check in line due to a later reservation. Our food selection tonight was quite varied, but I made a effort with the seafood in preparation for what was to come in the next few days. Sue and Emma concentrated on the desserts as you can see from the pictures below.
We also had plenty of character time, which accounted for the extreme noise level in there.
After leaving Crystal Palace we headed to Expedition Hall where we had our many photo passes transferred onto one card. We had a slow wander back down Main Street to the castle where we watched the laser show and then our final performance of Wishes, for this year. We bid our final farewell to the Magic Kingdom with a slow wander through the shops to the exit. We returned back to OKW by bus, where we finally reached our beds by 23:30.
