DAY 10 – Premium Outlets and Marrakesh Restaurant
The activities of the previous week had finally caught up with us, so it was no surprise that we didn’t wake until 9.30. Today was penciled in as a lazy day with no parks planned, so we decided to have a look around Premium Outlets at the top of I-Drive. When we arrived the car park was quite empty and we parked opposite the Reebok shop with an easy get away in mind. We drifted from shop to shop with a stop off around lunchtime in the food court.
Nigel – Bourbon Chicken/Peppered Steak strips with rice
Sue/Emma – Crispy Honey Chicken/Bourbon Chicken with rice
Carrying on around, we made stops at UGG, Oakley, Levis, Banana Republic and Adidas for various items before make our way back to OKW.
Keeping up with tradition, we had a cheeky little half hour in the pool before getting showered and changed for our 7:30 ADR this evening at Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco at Epcot.
We arrived at the park around 30 minutes early and had a slow wander passing through Canada, UK and France. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated immediately. The theming inside the restaurant is very authentic, along with the traditional clothing worn by the cast members.
The lighting was rather low, which made it difficult to read the menu. Our server tonight was a pleasant fellow by the name of Youssef.
Our choices of food tonight were:
Nigel – Shish Kebab with rosemary roasted potatoes and vegetable medley – Taste of Marrakesh
Sue – Chicken Kebabs with couscous and olive salad – Taste of Marrakesh
Emma – Chicken Kebab with couscous and olive salad – Taste of Marrakesh
Half way through the meal we were treated to some traditional Moroccan belly dancing.
This was probably the least of our favourite meals of the whole holiday. Neither of us enjoyed the couscous and the overpowering orange blossom water that the fruit lay in, spoiled the dessert. The restaurant theming itself and the quality of service could not be faulted.
We were ready to go after an hour and as we slowly made the anticlockwise loop around the world showcase, it started to rain.
By the time we reached the park exit it was falling quite heavily. We made our way back to OKW ready for an early night in preparation for a very busy day tomorrow.
Coming up next…..Typhoon Lagoon and a stroll around the World.
