I LOVE dole whip !!!!!! (insert deer face here). my personal preference is the pineapple vanilla swril dole whip. it is the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. i always share mine as well.
i have never had the chocolate crossaint at the main street bakery before but i know it must be something i would enjoy because i LOVE chocolate crossaints!!!!! they are seriously great! i now think i need to try main streets crossaints, if only i could pull myself away from the chocolate chip cookies.
I actually am one of those people who has heard of writers shop. every trip i make sure i stop in there even if it is just to look around! i love your panera comparison (it really is like panera for DHS- i know kristen also calls earl of sandwhich disney panera because she called it that in her TR but i think they are both disney panera). when i was little we loved these huge rice krispie treats with a chocolate layer on top. i think they have stopped selling them. I actually have also tried the carrot cake cookie sandwhich before as well and definitely enjoyed it. it actually got me into enjoying carrot cake for a while.
Joining in! What great detailed photos! I'm drooling on my keyboard here...can't wait for more!
Just found your reviews and love them
Wow - 5 trips in one year, you are sooooo lucky![]()
I love your reviews so far! And your pictures are great as well. Note to self, do not read your reviews when I'm hungry! I work very near a food court and that is not good!![]()
MMM what delicious snacks. Those Dole Whips are so refreshing. I can just taste it now!
YUM I want a croissant. And a carrot cake cookie. I love those so much. But more in the winter because they stay cold and the frosting doesn't get melty.
MMmmmmm... I didn't know you could get a vanilla/pineapple swirl Dole Whip. MUST try next time I go!
Yup I know what you mean!
Ahhh Tarzan. That would explain it. I haven't watched that movie since I was 5. It made me too sadI'm gonna have to watch it sometime soon, though.
Haha it is hard to find Disney obsessed friends. But if you do go on a friend's trip, I would definitely try to bring along people who sort of "get it" and are ready to embrace the magic. It makes the experience SO much better. I hope you get to!
Yes! Or even if you just want an extra hot dog during the day to tide you over. Casey's would be the place to go!
Haha. Yeah.
I did the 50 movie challenge over the summer, so it's still pretty fresh on my Brian.![]()
When I mention Disney and such, they just look at me like I have 3 heads or something! I hope to find Disney friends someday...or at least convert some of the ones I have now.![]()
Speaking of friends...I've been wondering this. How did Kristen, Nat, Vick, and you all meet?
I know exactly what you mean about the Dole Whip Float. I could not wait to try it as I LOVE pineapple but it is VERY sweet.
AHHH choc. croissants. LOVE these!!!!
That carrot cookie looks wonderful. I may need to get one of these next week!!
Oooh what is the 50 movie challenge?!
Hahaha it's okay. Just stick to what you love, because eventually you'll find people who understand! I mean, look at disboards. There's so many of us who "get it."
Kristen, Nat, Vick, and I all went to the same high school and did the musicals together. We all became friends because we all bonded over similarities in our personalities and outlooks... and of course, then we all figured out that we all love Disney. So that's where we are today
The 50 movie challenge is just where you watch all 50 Disney movies in order over the summer. It was really fun. I had a few Disney sleepovers, where I basically FORCED my friends to come over and stay up late, watching Disney movies. Then...we would have popcorn in mickey bowls, drink milk (or...in my case...water) in minnie cups with the light up ice cubes of Buzz or Tink or Mickey you can get at the restauarants. Then...go to my Mickey bed and fall asleep listening to my loop of Disney classic music. They would all end up the same way. Waking up and immediately calling their moms to come get them away from this freak's house. haha.
That's so cool. Are you a big theater person?? I am HUGE on it!! Sadly, in our district, we don't have in-school drama until high school, so I have to wait. SO, right now...I'm occupying myself with community theatre and some film work (commercials, modeling, etc.). I am SO excited for next year, being a freshman at our High SChool, so I can do some THEATRE...
And who knows?? Maybe I'll meet some Disney-lovers, too! I pray that will be the case.
I. Need. Someone. To. Vent. Disney. Too.
I seriously don't know how much longer I can go without a true Disney friend.
Do you have the list?! I TOTALLY want to do that. Not even kidding.
And hahaha they should NOT have felt forced. Ugh it's just because some people are going through that "pre-teen"/"early teen" phase where they're too cool for Disney. But let me tell you.... DISNEY GETS COOL AGAIN! My whole group of friends from the musical all went to see Toy Story 3 when it came out in theaters, and we had a party over the summer and watched Hercules. And just tonight in college, me and a few of my friends colored Disney Princess Posters and watched Princess and the Frog. None of my college friends are OBSESSED with Disney, but they really enjoyed tonightIt was a lot of fun!
And yes, I am a big theatre personI was in Cinderella, Annie, Kiss Me Kate, Sound of Music (Liesl), and Music Man in high school. I LIVED for the musicals.
I can't even tell you how SMART you are for doing all of that stuff right now. Trust me, you are going to be SO happy you did all of this now. It's going to get you so much father in your theatre career... whether it's just in high school or it continues after.
I wish I would have known more about that kind of stuff when I was your age. That's the only thing I would have changed about my childhood - I would have done more voice lessons/singing practice and gotten involved in ANY sort of theatre. Keep doing what you're doing.. it's going to pay off.I didn't figure out how much I liked theatre until my sophomore year of high school, so I had to work my BUTT off during my Junior year to get good enough to be let in the shows.
I'm glad it worked! It would have just been so much easier if I started earlier and had an idea of what I was doing.
I bet you willJust do the College Program someday. You'll meet tons
That's what I'm here for!
And don't worry.. it'll happen. Kristen and I didn't realize our Disney obsession until my senior year.... but it happened. You'll find SOMEBODY eventually!
I have the list printed out, but-and I'm sorry-I don't feel like typing all of them right now. SOooo...I was gonna post a link to the website, but my computer thinks it knows everything and doesn't wanna listen to me.So, I can't give the link to you. However, I know that if you googl '50 disney movie challenge' the first result should be a link to somewhere here o the DIS and that is the right link. If I'm remembering correctly.
Oh, yeah. I know what you mean. There just isn't that many 13 year olds in the world who have gone to Home Depot for room decorating supplies and tools and instead come home with mickey head paint samlpes. Which they then proceed to cut out and plaster around their room. Then...of course, there's the dwarves lining the top of my desk, and the Ariel fish tank with my fish...named Dory. And...so on. My school is having a dance next week in honor of Halloween, and as V. Pres of Stuco, I am required to attend. I am also in Yearbook, and we are doing these little marketing things that relate to your custume. I chose to go as Belle cuz I've got the kind of look going for me. My marketing slogan was going to be, "Be a Beauty, not a Beast. Buy your Yearbook." Yeah...I know. Cheesy. Oh well. Today, however, on my search for a costume, I discovered the lack of Belle costumes made to fit teens. Of course...there's the 'Sexy Belle' and 'Sassy Belle' and 'Vampire Belle', but I think I'd like to stick with classic DISNEY Belle.
Yeah. I have this one friend that LOVES Disney and all. But, she's a bit clueless. AND...she's never been to Disney!THe poor thing. ANy time I try to talk Disney with her, she starts freaking out. She just needs a little bit of training form a certain someone...
Then...she'll be all ready to take on the World. She would totally go see late night DIsneys with me and all, but she's just a SMIDGE annoying. And she kinda annoys my parents. You know the type. Love her to death...but she needs to tone it down a few notches. Not that I don't love craziness and being hyper...ask anyone withtin a 10 mile radius. She's just...different.
So far...(in community theater), I was-going in order-:
3rd Grade- A Little Princess (Lottie)
Emperor's New Clothes (Taylor the Tailor)
4th Grade- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Gladys Herman)
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (minor character-dwarf)
5th Grade- Jungle Book (Raan the Kite Bird)
Sound of Music (Louisa)
The Last Orphan Train to Texas (Iris)
6th Grade- Esterday (Susan)
Annie (Annie)
Gonney Bird Greene (Gooney Bird Greene)
7th Grade- Life With Mother Superior (Mary Clancy)
8th Grade- The Best CHristmas Pageant Ever (CURRENTLY)(Imogene Herdman)
So...that's my theatre experience. Then...last fall I got into an agency for film and commercial. I've had one modeling job with Academy and a few other auditions. But, that's pretty much it.
Theater and Disney are my life. No joke.
My one regret is that I haven't taken voice lessons. The way our schools worked when I was in 6th grade was you had to choose either Band or Choir. And say you chose band...you couldn't EVER do choir til HS. Cuz 6th grade was the Beginner's year. And the rest of the band,..or choir...didn't wanna have to stop so one person can learn the difference between C and G. Y'know? So...as an idiot...I chose band. Worst mistake of my life. I played the trumpet. Only girl in brass. Whole year I was miserable. But...they wouldn't let me switch out. After that year, I dropped out. BUT...of course...they wouldn't let me in choir. So, I had to take art and other stuff like that. Well, now that rule has changed, but for the past couple years, they wouldn't let me in choir...so I would be a LONG ways behind everyone else. So, I didn't try out for choir. However, I got placed in it. I was so excited...yet still nervous. I thought it was fate. It was meant to be. I was going to learn how to SING!!
Let's fastforward a bit shall we?? First day of schol. Go to choir. Walk in. Greeted by teacher. "Welcome, Mixed Choir. Be sure to pick up your textbook before sitting down." Textbook?? That's a little strange. But...I just brushed it off. The teacher walks out of the room to go talk to another teacher after a while of talking to us a bout rules and such. The moment the teacher walks out of the room, one kid jumps up, screaming, "Let's PAR-TAYYY!" Wait...what? What the Mickey is going on here? We're not supposeed to PAR-TAYYY! We're supposed to sing. Y'know...with our voices!! Wait a second. Why is that kid picking up the chair. Whoa! WHOOSH! Okay..I may npot be too choir savvy, but I know that chairs are supposed to stay on the ground...and not be THROWN ACROSS THE ROOM!!!
Yeah. After about a week, I learned that MIXED choir is not choir at all. It's a blow-off class for kids who need credits. I was switched out of there in an instant. I would like to keep all of my bodyparts thank you!
So..no choir for me. Until next semester, anyways. The counselor is gona try and do some switching around a bit with schedules amd work something out. We'll just have to see.
All in all...I'm kinda nervous about next year because I have no voice coaching. Of course...I've been in musicals before. But...never a HS production. I've had people tell me my voice is good, but I need to hear it from a pro or a TRUE coach before I walk on stage struutin m stuff thinking I'm all that...and then crack some windows. Y'know?
I'm still praying for a Disney friend to come along. I'm seriously ready to put an ad around the school.
NEEDED: DISNEY OBSSESSOR. MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH.
It's fine! I'll google itThanks!
Hahahaha don't worry. It's okay. Not many college students have Disney princess posters hanging on their wall, a disney calendar, a disney lanyard for their ID, Disney pictures hanging all over the room, disney clothes.... the list could go on. It's okay though, because if that's what we like, we gotta stick with it.
I like your halloween/yearbook ideaAnd oh my God I know. I've wanted to be Belle for YEARS but I just can never find a costume. I think the only place you can find one would be online.
And yeah, well... you'll find some "normal" disney fans eventually
That's an awesome list of experience! Seriously, it's gonna get you far. Just keep doing what you're doing! I'm so jealous you have no ideaAnd that's awesome you get to model/do commercials. Seriously, you're SO lucky.
You can always take voice lessons separate from school. But seriously, you'll be fine! Just get really into it in high school! That's a shame that mixed choir was a blow off. But it'll work out - you'll get in a good choir soon! I'm sure you're a natural
Haha you'll find one - and until then, you have disboards.
Haha...thatz gonna be me in college. I wish there was like a degree in Disney or something. haha. I still don't know exactly what I wanna do. But, I kinda wanna-not sure what it's called- be one of those people who comes up with diffent marketing pitches and brings them to businesses to use for advertisement. Like, design commercials and stuff like that. Have you ever watched Full House?? Joey and Jesse's partnership? DREAM. JOB!
Yeah..I know Disney Store Online has it...but I havent checked for my size, yet.
Haha...I hope so. But for now, I think she can hold me off from exploding.
Yeah. Thatz wat everybody tells me...but I'm such an over-acheiver.And I...of course...worry myself to death about EVERYTHING. Except when I go to Disney...I couldn't be more relaxed there.

Yeah. I was really hoping that it would be fun...but no cigar.
Haha. Thanks for your encouragement and belief in me.I can see it now. I'm gonna win an Academy award or something and I'm gonna have to give the speech as follows:
"First off, I'd like to thank Disneyfreak508, otherwise known as Jess-whose last name I don't even know. Her complete faith in me even though she never even knew what I looked or-better yet- sounded like. Thank you, Jess! I couldn't have done it without you!"
Lolz. Imagine all the stares I'd get after that.
And...of course. I'll ALWAYS have disboards. My one source of sanity.
