Looks like we are going to the RV show in Chicago on the 18th of Feb. Anyone ever been to the Chicago RV show and was it worth the time to go?

I can't answer your question, but I love Rv shows! Have a great time!

We've been to the Rosemont one several times. It is better for RV's since they have about 20 dealers at that one and have quite a few other camping businesses in it. The McCormick place one only has 4 RV dealers plus all the boat stuff. They have to sell a certain number of units to be able to come back again the following year, so they do make some pretty good deals on both new and used units. We will probably be there on the 19th of february. We like to see the new stuff and get ideas for ours. The info on camping places are always interesting. As far as worth it, that depends on why you're going and if you don't mind paying $16 to park plus admission of about $10 a head. And eat before you get there. Those $5 hot dogs don't taste THAT good. lol If you like good hot dogs, go south on River Road, which is what it is on, and a few miles down on the right side you'll see a hot dog joint, called Jean and Judes, that sells the best and inexpensive hot dogs around. But be aware, you can't get ketchup on them...lol. They are Chicago style Vienna red hots with the greasy brown fries.. yummmy Now I'm hungry!

Giordano's before we arrive and Portillo's on the way out. The food is the only thing I miss about living in the burbs.
