2011 Rates

I called Disney the other day to ask a question, I wanted to know if I made reservations for next year, if they go by the highest rate for the season I will be traveling or if it goes by the highest rate of the year (it is the season) but the CM told me if I wait until April when the new rates come out I could book with the correct rates. Am I wrong here or do the next years rates normally come out in August not April?

Thanks, that is what I have always been told, but when she said April I figured she didn't know what se was talking about.

I was told that if I wanted to book for 2011 they would put in a "temporary" rate just to hold my ressie and deposit and when the actual rates are available I would get an update. This at least allows you to book some of the more desirable times in advance, like xmas or the campsites at FW.

yes, this is how it has always been and normally the next years rates come out in August, but now they are saying the new rates will come out in April

Historically, rates come out in August. But that doesn't mean they won't come out earlier this year. Everything is subject to change. But we also know that CMs make mistakes and hand out misinformation all the time.
