2011 Free Dining is Extended! New dates as of 8/3

They offered free dining for a lot of 2011 dates last summer. You had to book by the end of Dec. though. We got it for Aug 2011.

Recieved the pin code for free dinning in the mail today, but like most of you it is for dates 4/23 -8/13.
We are going Nov 26th this year. We got a pin code in Aug last year for the fall hope this happens again. Even if it is for the counter service only with moderates. It all helps Wishing you all that your Disney Dreams come true!

Did you really have to book by December 2010 to qualify? Will there be another promotion for this year or am I SOL? Last year I was able to book in April or May (can't remember which) for free dining in October 2010.

No one can know the answer to this question. Free Dining up till end of September 2011 was offered last year, book by Dec 2010. There's currently a pin offer for free dining until mid-August, so it's very possible there may be a general public offer for free dining until mid-August. Beyond that, it's hard to say what Disney will offer. They may offer FD again and/or a % discount and/or something else.

For the last few years they have offered the general public free dining for Sept and Oct either the last week of March or first week of April. I have a percent off discount pin that came out a while ago. We booked CSR and I am hoping for free dining. It should save me about $600 off my room only since we are getting a dining plan either way.

I think that you will see it come out if the bookings they got off the promotion in the fall are less than they hoped to get.

But, the newest pin codes that are out for that time frame only include QSDP with values and moderates so if it does come out, my guess is the regular DDP will only be for deluxe resorts.

For Sept 2010, the Free Dining offer did not come out until May 3rd or 4th. Just a few days after Visa cardholders received.

Whether it will be offered again this year (Dec 20/10 was the deadline for 2011), is everyone's guess right now.

Ok, I'm sure I just have wishful thinking but......today I called to see if I have a PIN attached to my name or my husband's name. Unfortunately no luck. I told the CM that I was really hoping for the free dining pin. Then through the phone came the magical bell sound (the one you hear when you call WDW). I was told that even though I didn't have a PIN, keep checking my email because you never know. I'm sure it was just a fluke that the "magical" sound played through the phone, but I can still hope right?

A week ago, I was on the phone with them about a dining reservation and they checked at that time and I was told that yes free dining was available during my trip timeframe (I'm going 5/5-15) but that I had to have my travel agent call back to set up. When the agent called back, they told her I didn't have any offers. This was a big let down. Guest services even got involved but apparently the CM must have pulled it up under another person with the same name. How frustrating to be told I had one, and then told I didn't.

Here's to having some magic sent my way..........

AAA told my parents not to make reservations for their Dec. tip yet but to wait for free dining. I am almost 100% that Dreams Unlimited changed one of my trips after I made the reservation because we upgraded to DxDP.

This isn't the first time AAA has given my parents incorrect information. I want them to book through Dreams.

For me it wasn't AAA that gave me incorrect info, it was someone at Disney. Because I even called back after my agent called and stated that a CM told me I had the offer and they said sorry, there's no pin attached to your name. I was so bummed that I thought I was gonna get free dining.....but then was told no. I even had the name of the person who told me I had it but still no luck.

Just got a pin the other day in the mail for dates in April until August. We used them and got our dining plan change! Hope that helps!

You can go ahead and book now then if you get a pin or if a public offer comes out you just call back to see if it can be applied to your trip. You are required to put a $200 deposit down at booking, but it is refundable if you cancel before the 45 day window. Hope that helps
