2011 Free Dining is Extended! New dates as of 8/3

I don't know if it was luck, error or whatever, but there was a 2 day ticket requirement with the free dining promos last year. Just do a search on all the free dining threads from last year - all the AP holders were quite upset about the requirement going from a 1 day base ticket to 2 day base.

Unless they booked bounceback from the year before that is what we did. I need more than a 1 day ticket so not a issue for us. But if you booked bounceback in 2009 for 2010 there was only a one day requirement. I really only recall all of this beacuse we booked bounceback in 2009 but switch to the promo they offered in 2010 beacuse we wanted the QSDP instead of the regular plan that came with the bounceback that was offered in 2009. The cm thought I was nuts for swaping. But the QSDP just works better for us.

Yes, if they booked the bounceback in 2009 FOR 2010, they squeaked by with the 1 day base minimum ticket requirement, but there was no free dining bounceback in 2010 for 2011 dates, as they came out with the sweeping offer that covered many dates through the end of September 2011. Anyone who has been, is now using, or planning to use a FD discount during the year of 2011 was/is required a 2 day ticket minimum currently.

We are Looking and Hoping for FREE DINING:surfweb:
We are going to DW Dec. 15th to 19th, We have never had the free dining before so we hope it works out for us this time.
I think if they extend what they have now I will have to add another night.:confused3
Hope they do something soon we can't wait til Dec.:rolleyes1

Will there be free dining for Oct 10 - 14?
That's when we will be there. I haven't been to Disney since I was 12 and I'm so excited to take my kids there!!

Most of us believe that there will be free dining for late fall/winter dates, but no one knows any exact dates.

I am also waiting for the free dining, we are a party of 9, 4 adults, 4 children, and 1 infant, free dining will help. We are going in December, so we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed.

Nope free dining hasn't been extended yet. I have to have my vacay paid off soon so I am going to give Disney a call and see if I have any pin codes I can use.

I'm getting nervous....:sad2:

haha. me too.

The way I look at it is I'm getting the dining plan no matter what. So if it's free then the wife gets to buy more Mickey statues to add to her creepy Mickey collection:eek: (it's out of control)
If I have to pay, she gets a 2011 magnet:thumbsup2

Question: Right now we are holding a value resort package with park tickets and Plus Dining. If they extend the FD package, traditionally the value resorts get QS meals. However, you have the option to upgrade to TS (plus dining). On the flip side, moderate resorts have traditionally come with TS when the FD was released. Did anyone run the numbers in 2010 for what the difference is between Moderate/Plus Dining and Value/Upgrade Plus Dining? If the cost is the same, wouldnt most people just book the Moderate (assuming they want the table service)?

Maybe somebody can correct me because I don't know if I have the right numbers but I believe it's like $13/person/day to upgrade.:confused3 I guess it depends on the number of people in your family but when I did the numbers for us it was still a few hundred dollars difference to stay at the Mods.

You're absolutely right! It's still a few hundred dollars difference for my family too!
