I'm just catching up on the last weeks posting but felt I wanted to chime in about PFTS and accessibility. Last year I had knee surgery just prior to the festival. I was in a wheel chair but had some limited ability to walk with a full leg brace. My husband and I have been to 4 previous parties and always enjoyed moving from place to place rather than claiming a particular table.
As we entered with me in my wheel chair, a cast member saw us and directed us to a two person table in the middle of the room. He stashed my chair for me (wouldn't have been able to wheel myself on the carpet and hold a plate or glass anyway). He also seemed to keep an eye on us through the evening, offering to get me ice for my knee or anything else. As the night wore on, he even got me a refill of wine a couple of times when the crowd had really died out. I think he was going above and way beyond what was expected but it made for a really easy night for us. Crowd level will affect your ability to get around in a
scooter or wheel chair but the cast members really want to make it work for everyone. At least that was our experience. While one in particular seemed to keep his eye on us, several helped me at various times in the evening. It was a great night and my immobility wasn't a problem.
Enjoy!
