**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

I decided not to book any of the deminars now. There really was only one I would like to go to, and am willing to forgo the TiW discount if I decide for certain.

I have a few ADRs for my trip, but I am mostly waiting to book some of the special events on 8/16. Then I will really know what my days and nights look like, and then figure in my other ADRs and maybe a deminar or two, if it works into my schedule.:hippie:

Hi, Diana! No online this year. :confused3 tomorrow at 9am Eastern, call 407-WDW-FEST. :)

For some reason... I was thinking it was earlier (7am). I guess this gives me more time to look over the schedule again!

Just my luck the pastry chef I've really been hoping to see (Buddy Valastro) at a deminar instead of Sweet Sundays is doing one on a Sat. :sad2: Don't really want to go to Epcot on a Sat. over a holiday weekend. Looks like I'll be springing for the Sweet Sunday ticket.

I'm so upset. I would have gone to anything of his but it looks like we'll miss him by a few days for both events. :(

Does anyone have any idea of what the Eastern Wines of South Korea are like? I tried googling Eastern Wines South Korea, but the only links that come up are related to disney's food and wine festival - :confused3

over 110 callers in cue right now... at Disney Dining Reservations.

Did find out that you do not need the TiW to book w/ discount... just need to show your card at the door.

Hope this helps!!!

I am on hold, has anyone made it thru?

I got through but their system is S-L-O-W :confused3

Phew - that took awhile. I guess there are a few of us bogging down their system!!!

I booked 10/6 Mixology and 10/8 Buddy Valastro culinary. I'm done! ;)

(I used my DVC member # and it went right through.)

You can book the weekend deminars today - my wife just booked Robert Irvine on Sun 10/23.

Thanks for the update.

I called around 7:57am (central time) and was placed on hold for approx 20 seconds before a nice CM answered. The process was suprisingly easy (expected her to not know what was going on since the reservations just opened.) She did tell me that the reservation system just loaded onto their computers (literally) minutes before they were able to make the reservations.
As we were scheduling the one beverage and two culinary seminars... she mentioned that she received a pop-up message on her computer screen informing her that there were 110 callers on hold waiting at that moment.
I specifically asked if I needed to give her proof of TiW, DVC or AP membership and she said there is no place for her to enter that on her computer screen, but it will be required at the door.

question that maybe someone with previous experience can help with... She said that taxes were included with my payment but gratuity was neither included nor required. :confused3 Should I bring cash with me to tip? If you have been previously - did most attendees tip the servers?

Did you use the DVC number or the FEST number?

I used the FEST number - which put me right through to Disney Dining reservations... seems like it was the same as dialing WDW-DINE.

I was afraid that the DVC people would be really confused. Seems like they do not always receive the same information as the general reservation lines... and I didn't want to take any chances. I really wanted to see Keegan Gerhard (1st seminar of the fest) and didn't want to take a chance on everyone else wanting to see him too! :wizard: magical morning... I now feel excited for our upcoming trip!!!

I'm pretty adventurous but even I'm skeptical about wines from South Korea. :rolleyes1
