Good morning all!

I used to live on FB & now I only pop in every once in awhile. My farm in Farm Town is probably shiveled and dead . Maybe I should go check on it.

I actually love FB, but it seems lately that I don't have the time to check both the DIS and FB. I'm not working & I should have plenty time, but it seems like my days are getting shorter and shorter.


I hope Disneyland releases the F&W dates before the end of the year. I know everyone wants to wait on the dates, but I was going to try for a villa at GC and I don't want them to run out of rooms .

I doubt they will, I don't think this year's dates were released until just a couple of months ago.

I do find that annoying about Disneyland.

WDW has it going on when it comes to opening up their calendars and announcing event dates way in advance to make planning easier.

Oh, and I play Petville on Facebook.....well actually Luke, my almost seven year old plays it. LOL.

I don't know which trip if any I will do next year - it depends on my job and $$$ of course, and convincing DH that it is a good idea for me to go again. I have tentatively decided to quit my job in 2 months even if I haven't found another one yet; just picking a "last day" helps me get through my workdays easier without going crazy. I am still not sure I will go through with it though.

Oh yeah Beth. I would love to be your neighbor, Bleaker is a sweet young girl. And if it says anything my great nephew Jason(who just turned 1) thinks it is the best game ever to watch. I like it, it is so slow paced.

I didn't get to it last night but I'll try tonight.

As much as I love Disneyland, WDW does have an edge up on them when it comes to things like that and also booking large group dining.

I have tentatively decided to quit my job in 2 months even if I haven't found another one yet; just picking a "last day" helps me get through my workdays easier without going crazy. I am still not sure I will go through with it though.

So, are you abandoning the F&W mini meet forever or until the dates of the main meet are decided or not at all? I think that if the main meet is not over F&W dates, that a mini meet is still in order. I'm not suggesting a split of the group just a mini meet like the other mini meets that are still in the planning process.

I agree!!! I told Jane that while I am 100% on board with the new plan that for this year only mom and I have made up our mind that we REALLY want to do a F&W trip and as I mentioned before if it happens to be during MA that would be even better!!!

I personally won't be going on the main trip this year UNLESS it falls during F&W and mom and I are going to plan a trip during F&W regardless so I really hope that all the people that expressed interest are still on board.

Honestly I don't think this has ANYTHING to do with the main thread because we do mini meets all the time and this is just something "in lieu of" for those that can and want to do an extra trip or in our case do this instead.

I am ALL for going back to other dates for 12 but I REALLY want to do this at least once and as I told Jane I just can't afford to come out twice. So I hope that makes sense and I hope everyone understands I am not trying to cause problems but really hope this still happens!!

Oh yeah Chris I totally agree. I just know that for this one time mom and I really want to do this and we are fine with waiting till the dates come out. I want to wait anyway cuz I am really hoping we can maybe do it on a weekend that coincides with MA!!

We don't really have to do a whole lot of planning or anything since we don't know much and I don't think it needs to be nearly as structured as the reg meet.

In fact I was thinking if we came in on a Thurs we could prob just all meet at a restaurant this time (maybe even offsite at gardenwalk) just to get together and say hey we all made it and are here!

Then I am sure everyone is going to be busy with food and wine events over the weekend and everyone will prob be signed up for different stuff so I was thinking it would be more of a I'll see you when I see you and then maybe only have 1 group meal a day or something and if people can make it great if not great. And it doesn't even have to be at a place that needs a ressie. Like on Friday we are going to meet for dinner at Zocal or Pizza port and whoever is available just show up. And then I am sure DURING the trip anyone of the gals who are going to the same events or who AREN'T at an event can hang out together. Does that make sense?

Those were just some thoughts I had milling around in my head.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the main meet and hate to miss one but I am REALLY amped about doing a food and wine just once and hopefully a MA too!

And it would be an added bonus to have some of my diva friends along for the ride!!

NO worries, there will be a bunch of us there, I'm sure. I tend to plan like Kelly. One or two ways to catch up with each other per day. I'm not an over planner. And of course, there's always the Diva phone list if you're wanting to send out a Marco at any time and get together. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of Diva's at F&W.

We've always talked before about how it's nice to have such a large group of ladies with different interests, because you always felt like you had someone to hang with or do something with. I love the fact that so many want to do F&W! I know we can't plan yet, but it's still fun to think about.

Many of the Divas are local and can do F&W anytime, so it's not that exciting for them. I can't just drop into DLR on any given weekend, and so need to plan things out. I think that's where Kelly and her Mom's excitement comes in. I'm glad that they are able to do what they want with their vacation time and money, and still hang with their Diva friends.

I agree, Chris, but I also know (as much as I think I know) that I will be out there for my DD college graduation, which usually falls on Memorial Day weekend (Saturday). As long as that still holds up datewise, I am planning, somewhat, around that. But obviously that could change. I know there's nothing set in stone yet, and won't be until we get much, much closer.

I'm semi local, but I usually get a hotel too. That helps me feel like part of the group. If I know there are Divas coming, I will definitely plan to do F&W while you are all here, as a group. It's way fun hanging (and planning) with the Divas!

Stacie I knew that that was your reasoning and I STILL like the idea of those dates as well. I reallize it is a LONG way away and we still need to find out about MA and also probably what events are going on for F&W etc but at least for now those dates sound good to me. I guess we will have to just wait and see. I am in no hurry but as I said I like the dates we had orig talked about but I guess time will tell eh?
