If you can use the BWI SLide while at BC b/c of refurb, it is far superior to the BC Slide though the BC POOL is superior to the BWI pool....

Thanks scottmel :goodvibes Yes, that slide at BWI looks like amazing fun!!!
I was just hoping it would work out where we could "legally" try both slides! According to the dates of the letters people where receiving regarding the refurb, it looked like BWI slide would be open to BC guests to use until FEB 7, and then BC slide would be open to BWI guests FEB 7th on as their slide was refurbished.....
I am still holding out hope it works out that way, as I would love to try both! I would hate to visit the beautiful BC and not have a chance to try SAB's famous slide!

one positive out of it: we'll be able to try that super fun looking coaster slide! :goodvibes One Week to paradise! :lovestruc

People rent those recliners all the time ... we see them delivered to the rooms. You should look into it. The old daybeds (that are in most rooms) are not going to work for sleeping sitting up and they won't work for an adult ... they are meant more for a child. Perhaps someone can post a picture of one and you can see what I mean. I seriously would rent one of those recliners for the entire stay.

Where do you rent them from and do you know the costs... I'll ask DH....
Thanks!

Yes, if you are a family of five you'll get a room with a daybed and two queens. Half the rooms have full balconies and half have standing balconies. The rooms on the first floor have patios. If a full balcony is important to you, make sure your reservation has a full balcony requested on it.

Thank you! Will call back to add it on.

Yey we finally managed to get our room changed to a garden view!! Took around 10 phone calls to my travel agent but its been sorted! So August 11 - Sept 1 we will be at the Beach Club in our garden view room!

Way to go Claire....Shows the value of DIS in our planning. Followed your saga and your willingness to follow Teena's advice. Sounds like your 'holiday' just became a little more :wizard:Magical:wizard:!

Thanks - its such a relief! Ever since I found the DIS I've found it invaluable for all our planning needs and as far as the Beach Club goes its so useful that Teena is able to give us such good advice! I felt a bit like a dog with a bone keep calling the travel agent but it paid off - we can now relax and look forward to our holiday,
Claire

There are very few CL garden view rooms. Most are standard and water but I believe the few that are garden view rooms, most have full balconies (off the top of my head, I'd say one might not). If you upgrade to a garden CL room, just make sure you put "full balcony requested" on your reservation.

Thanks so much Teena. The garden view concierge rooms are available for my dates for both YC and BC. I am so excited that most of the garden view concierge BC rooms have a full balcony as ideally I would prefer the "lighter side" I just really hope for a full balcony too as we do use it a lot. If most do have a fully balcony and I request one hopefully I will get lucky

Just make sure the full balcony is requested on your actual reservation.

Just wanted to let you know that is the time frame we have stayed at the Beach Club the last two years- great time to be there. The crowds have calmed down from the 4th of July craziness, and we were lucky to have weather that was hot but not unbearable, with just a couple of passing storms. I hope your family encounters the same weather pattern!

Hi, great info.!:thumbsup2

We will be staying there for the 1st time in Nov.! Oh so excited  Our DD is in a wheelchair so we hope she can enjoy the BC! We are staying CL TOO:wizard:

I hope we get a chance to enjoy the pool!:santa:

We had originally booked our trip in May at CSR w/ a 35% off pin code. Well yesterday we upgraded to the Beach Club!!!!!!!!! The first time I walked into this resort 2 yrs ago, I fell in love:lovestruc Probably has something to do w/ the fact that I am from Southeastern MA. Anyway, I can't wait!!! This is gonna be the longest 3 months ever!

Flip-flpping between YC or BC for 3 nights just before xmas, Dec 19 - 21. If I have two teens, DS16 and DD15 (birthday trip), if I request a daybed, how likely will that request be granted? Will they save those rooms only for those with 5 in a room?

TIA!:goodvibes

We are staying in BC for 1st time May/June!! Very excited.... Attempting to read all these post to find any and all useful information :)

YESSSS! This is just what I was looking for!!! :cool1: Thanks for posting this info and all your hard work is greatly appreciated. :worship: Several of my questions were answered about the rooms, mostly, and the links-awesome, awesome! :woohoo: Now my resort choices are so much more easier to present to my DH. Got them narrowed down to the YC first, then the BC...unless I keep digging in and find more goodies on the BC...ohhhh, the agg-oooo-neeee

We just booked our annual stay at the Yacht Club. We live about an hour away, so we don't stay at the resorts very often. DH has a conference there every year, so we tag along with him. :cheer2:

A warm welcome to all of the new posters to this thread from me, too!

In case you have not seen the first page of the thread, I wanted to let you all know about the Y&BC pins we have- free for the asking! One per family, please.

There is still time to request a pin if your trip is in February or March, BUT due to Teena's travel schedule, your request must be received by February 4. As indicated below, PM TeenaS with your checkin info.

Are you staying at the Yacht or Beach Club or the Beach Club Villas and want to meet or be recognized by other DIS'ers? Thanks to a wonderful design from RustManFan of the Creative Designs Forum, and the enthusiasm of DIS'er Janloz, we now have fashionable pins available upon request and free of charge!

If you would like to request one, please PM TeenaS at least one month prior to your visit to the YC/BC/BCV, providing the name on your reservation, resort and your arrival date. Your pin will be available for pick-up during your trip at the Beach Club front desk if you are staying at BC or BCV or at the Yacht Club front desk if you are staying there. Please tell the person at the front desk that a friend has left an envelope for you. Do NOT say that Teena left an envelope for you! This is the only option for pickup and since this is a volunteer project, we regret that we are unable to mail a pin to you prior to your stay.

Due to the limited quantities available, we must limit requests to 1 pin per family so everyone who wants one will have the opportunity to get one.
