Teena - feel better soon. There are some nasty bugs going around everywhere...DH just came home sick as well.

Thank you so much!!! Those little things didn't work at all last night. Was up coughing all night long and now have a splitting headache that hurts even more when I cough (which is pretty non-stop). Nice to know we have you around to ask questions!

No problem. Benzonatate unfortunately isn't the strongest thing around for a cough, (have to hit the hydrocodone or codeine based syrups for that) but it is one of the few things you can take and still try to work. Hopefully that azithromycin pack will kick in soon and you'll start feeling better. I just left work today myself for the same reason but not before I plucked a generic Z-pack off the shelf just in case (advantages of small town medicine, owning your own store and being friends with every doc in town....all I have to do is just ask whichever one calls first). Also, I've been taking diphenhydramine (Benadryl) at home for the runny nose. I usually won't take any meds when I'm working but now that I'm home everything is fair game. Also a little known fact about Benadryl is that it is also approved as an antitussive. I won't stop a really bad cough but it can help. Just watch out for the drowsiness. Another pretty good OTC antitussive to try is dextromethorphan which can be found cheap in generic Robitussin DM or Mucinex DM. If you're in good with your doc just give the office call and let them know the benzonatate isn't working. Depending on the doc they might call in something stronger.

We returned last night from a great 1st stay at the YC! We were in Room 4205 - overlooking SAB (kiddie pool) and the lagoon. Great location and beautiful views - could see high Epcot fireworks at night, and most of the Boardwalk area. Weather was gorgeous and crowds were low - although they did seem to pick up heading into the weekend. We decided last minute on Thursday to do MNSSHP and it was so much fun! We would definitely do this again! Even got the coveted picture with all 7 dwarfs!!

We had many firsts on this trip - first time eating at Cali Grill (and saw Hallowishes afterwards), Pizzafari, Sci Fi Dine In, La Cantina, Via Napoli, riding Splash Mountain, Astro Orbiter, getting 900,000 plus points on Buzz ride!!, MNSSHP, rode a Segway, and I'm sure I'm leaving a few others out.

Teena - we came over Sunday to meet you but no luck! I saw your post a few hours later that you were sick - we were sorry to have missed you but hope you get to feeling better in time for your trip to see Jeanne.

I will post some more trip details later along with some food "reviews", as well as some of the other things we encountered - good & bad! But if there is anything in particular you have a question about - feel free to ask!

Our trip ended with us getting up 2 hours before our ME departure to find out Delta cancelled our flight and rebooked us on a flight 2 hours later! We had to check out of our room so DH hung out in air conditioned lobby and I sat out on the patio soaking up the last bit of warm weather. While it was not a bad place to be stranded we really wanted to get home to see the kiddos at that point. Because Delta essentially combined 2 full flights - they had to bring in a 747 to get us all back to Detroit - talk about a nightmare at the gate and at luggage claim! We ended up getting home 4 hours later than originally planned! We were very happy to be home at that point, but not happy when I walked in the house and had to turn the heat on!!

Although I absolutely love my job, the pin trading is what I'm afraid gets me the "bugs". I try to sanitize lots and lots but some of the young children will pull the backs off their pins with their mouth, spit the back out and hand it to me with the pin ... I just keep smiling and as soon as they leave, run and sanitize everything. It's hard though. I think I caught alot of stuff through pin trading!

That is something I never really thought of

I haven't had a chance to read all the way through this whole post as of yet. We'll be staying at the YC and I was wondering where do you go to refill the mugs??? Thanks!

Ok AirTran fans on this board......this one is for you!

Southwest Airlines is in the process of buying AirTran. Can I get a WooHoo:banana:! Maybe we can get a Southwest flight out of Charlotte now.

I just sent this to my daughter who lives in Charlotte. (she had already seen it) She is flying Air Tran (of course) for our Thanksgiving trip. She had said months ago why doesn't Southwest fly here? Won't help this year but it will be of benefit when/if she flies home.

You can refill your mugs either at Hurricane Hanna's out next to the pool, or inside at the Beach Club Marketplace.

I think they need to add a refill station at the "store" on the YC side as well, but that's just my opinion!

Will do that tomorrow morning. What do you suggest for this killer headache. I've tried tylenol ... didn't touch it. My head hurts so bad I want to cry. So sorry you've got it too. I am taking Benadryl too ... believe it or not it doesn't make me drowsy. My daughter laughs at me because when my allergies act up, I take two every few hours and I'm absolutely fine. She takes one and is out for 10 hours. I have Sam's Club's cheap variety. We call them the pink pills.

I'm not a fan of Airtran but I absolutely love Southwest and am on a SW flight at least every other month. I hope SW turns Airtran into SW and doesn't take up any of the Airtran fees/rules/etc. I'll keep my fingers crossed for SW Charlotte flights!!

WooHoo!!!
We fly out of Charlotte and are really growing weary of USAir. It is getting to the point that we would prefer to take Delta and have to connect through Atlanta then fly direct on USAir. I was so happy to find an amazingly cheap flight on AirTran direct to MCO from CLT for our December trip! I hope Southwest brings in more competition and routes.

We will be arriving at the BC in 10 days time, we won't get there till about 7pm and we would like somewhere quick and easy to get a small meal. CS is fine as teh kids will be tired as we will have travelled all day and been up for about 20 hours.

Anyone have any good ideas on where to eat

Has anyone ever made their way from the BC to the HDDR? We're doing that our arrival night and have no idea about how to do it.

Welcome Mum! Your travels make my 7hr trip seem short! Here is a copy and paste off the front page: (courtesy of Dee!)

The Beach Club is home to 2 counter service restaurants:
Beach Club Marketplace and Hurricane Hanna's
The Marketplace serves made to order items and also has sundries. Hurricane Hanna's serves alcoholic beverages as well as quick bites to eat. The kids' meals are served in a pail with a shovel that can be used at the beach or at SAB!

I would probably just go to the Marketplace (next to BC lobby). They have great salads, pizza, sandwiches etc..... And you can go out to Atrium and relax and eat. Not sure if Hannah's is open then but also a good option for sandwiches beside the pool!

We're doing a split stay and staying at GF first then over to BC. I was planning on checking out early at GF, dropping off our luggage with bell services to transport it to BC then head out to Epcot for the day, checking into BC about mid-afternoon. Do you think it would help to do online check-in for BC? We're booked into a standard room which is fine for us. And we have no special requests. Thoughts? :confused3

I would take the Disney bus to MK and then take the boat to FW.... The boats are right off the path leading into MK from the bus stops. Once at FW it is not far to HDDR. But I would allow at least an hour and half to make sure to make it.

If you don't have enough time......taxi to FW. Enjoy

I'm so sorry Teena :sad2: Hope you feel better soon!!!!! :grouphug:
