We cant wait for our trip in August, 10 days at the Beach Club:banana: August 6th thru the 15th. Sadly enough we were just there in November and it seems like we have been gone forever :confused3

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!!! :santa:

We'll be at the Poly in just about two weeks, too! Like Robyn, I grew up with the Poly so we're returning for our pre-schooler's short birthday trip. (We'll spend a little more time at MK than we usually do for that weekend.) But we'll be back at BC in February! With Amanda at the Poly and MickeyT at GF during marathon weekend, we'll look for fellow YC/BC Disers - do either of you have the YC/BC Diser pin yet?

Amanda, our family of five is very comfortable in a regular BC room, and our three boys are ages pre-school through pre-teen. But we don't need a lot of space and we don't spend a whole lot of time in the room. Our only request has been full balcony, which is really nice because it gives us a little more space. We got an unbelievable AP rate for our February trip to BC, so hopefully the summer deals will be just as great. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks for your insights!
I do have a pin. I think I was the very first one to get one since I was at BCV when they were designed!!!

I do not know if this will help your decision because everyone has different opinions but we stayed at BLT because we had 5 in our party as well this past October and really did not like our experience there. We usually always stay at the beach club but some in my party wanted to try something new and it turned out to be a big mistake. We spent a TON of money on a two bedroom villa at BLT it was worn down which was quite a surprise to me considering it is the newer hotel on property. and imo there is zero disney magic there..yes you can see the MK and that is fantastic but other than that it felt cold and very un disney like to me. We frequented the beach club quite often on our trip when we were staying at BLT and we were all really mad at ourselves that we decided to opt not to stay there. It seemed everything was a serious hike to get to from BLT.

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts. I always appreciate hearing what everyone else has to say. I have heard mixed reviews of BLT. Love the idea of being near MK and on the monorail but it sounds like there are lots of negatives. We loved being able to eat dinner at Epcot every night since there is so much good food to choose from!

Good Afternoon all! This thread came in so helpful when I was planning my trip I figured I would take as many photos as possible when I stayed at the YC so I can "give back".

We stayed at YC from Saturday Dec 11 - Tuesday Dec 14. It was C.O.L.D when we were there. You know those record breaking low temperatures they talked about, yup I got to experience them! And man it was as cold as they say it was!

I've been home for a little but with the Christmas holiday coming at full speed when I got home I never had the time to post. Today I have a snow day. I live in NJ and I woke up to about a foot and a half of snow. So here I am thinking about my favorite place in the world...Disney!

I took a ton of pictures, here you go..... (If anyone has any questions please let me know!)

Thank you for the pictures!! Reminds me of our stay just a few weeks ago and all the fun we had.

WOW!!! What a fantastic collection of photos with amazing attention to detail. :worship:

Your pictures will help answer some of the occasional questions that pop up about the Y&BC resort, so I will definitely keep these posts at my fingertips.

Hope everyone who is dealing with monster snow storms these past couple of days stays safe and warm!

Amazing pictures!

We are buried under a foot and a half of snow with blizzard winds. I am SO missing BC/YC.

Hi All-

We were at Disney a week ago, December 20th and 21st, for a quick visit post cruise in Miami. We stayed at the BCV's , room 531.

While the room was nice, it definitely needed some updating. It still has the old tv stand that housed the flat screen tv. It was a pretty bulky piece of furniture and took up a pretty large portion of real estate in the studio room. The balcony was great, but we really didn't get to enjoy it as it got pretty cold at night. I really loved the bathroom, which seemed HUGE after getting off the cruise ship.

The hide away sofa bed is surprisingly comfy for a sleeper sofa. I have a bad back and I didn't have any problems.

However, not related to the BCV's, the park was super super crowded. We agreed that we would never go back that time of year again. MK was shoulder to shoulder and we couldn't get in any rides but the people mover. Dining was nearly impossible and the line cutters made it very frustrating. I am going to stick to Spring Break from here on out.

MsCoz2000, thank you very much for the pictures. The detail was great. Brought back warm memories of the trip from four weeks ago. Guess the snow storm on the east coast was good for something! Now how do we carry these forward to future threads? You may want to post something on the Resorts picture thread that links back to these. They were really good!

If it is ok with you, MsCoz2000, I can copy your pictures into my photobucket and use them either on front page FAQ pages, or to answer questions as they come up.

I think the moderators close threads when they get past 250 pages, so we still have some time before I need to migrate the first few pages. I'll probably add more pictures and make some of the existing ones bigger when I update the pages.

What amazing pictures. Thanks for sharing :goodvibes

Great pictures!!! Now that Christmas is over, I 'm starting to think about our trip next year, and they're getting me excited about staying at the Yacht Club!

????Quick question for the pros - how is the drawer space at the Yacht Club? We stayed at the Poly in 2009, and I thought it was pretty good - how does the Yacht Club compare? Of course, with 5 of us, there is never enough anyway. But at least I'll be mentally prepared!
Thanks!!!

Thanks to MsCoz2000 for the detailed and very helpful photos! And thanks again to Dee for organizing our thread! :wizard:

Nice detailed photos of the Hurricane Hanna's menu. I've always thought that the HH menu is comparable to many CS restaurants in the parks. I consider it more than a pool bar, and I think it's helpful for potential guests to see the menu on the boards when considering BC/YC CS options. Thanks again!
