Weather in March can be just like December, January and February. You need to be prepared for cold, cool, warm and hot.

We leave on Saturday!!! I can't concentrate on anything important, so just killing time reading the DIS. I am sorry that I won't be able to say Hi to Teena. Teena- enjoy your fabulous vacation!

It looks like the weather will become a bit more pleasant by Saturday.

I will try to post a picture of the Sunken Treasure. Might have one as soon as we arrive! My other favorite adult drink in WDW is the grand marnier slush in France. Now that we are at BC, I can practically hop over and grab one!

I think I've started a new craze - The Sunken Treasure!

Robyn, now I know that I will like the Sunken Treasure if someone who likes the grand marnier slush likes it too!

Here's my little story about the slush. I am generally a rule follower, not a rule bender or breaker. Two years ago I was in Epcot enjoying my first grand marnier slush ever. It was sooooo good. We had to run out the IG exit to catch a boat for an Illuminations cruise, so we hurried out. There was some sort of security guard at the gate who asked, "Is that an alcoholic beverage? If so, you can't leave the park with it." I barely thought about it before I said, "No, it's just a slushie." He let me through. DH's jaw dropped at my attitude (in an approving way). He said something like, "wow, what do I need to do to get you to act like that more?" I guess it was the grand marnier slush that "inspired" such outrageous rule breaking! I couldn't bear the thought of chugging it or dumping it.

I don't have a picture of the Sunken Treasure, but I do have this:

I didn't have one...I just kept drinking the Grey Goose slushy. I kept thinking I would try one but so enjoyed the lemon. I miss WDW!

Got back Monday night from our 11 night trip (Dec. 2-13)! Had a great time and absolutely loved all 3 of the resorts we stayed at. First night was at BC and when we checked in we were made family of the day, given balloons and a certificate, and upgraded to a deluxe club level room (we had booked standard view, standard room)! What a great way to start off the trip!

Moved the next day to CR for 5 nights and also greatly enjoyed our time there, especially the MK view from our balcony and being able to walk to MK.

Our last 5 nights were at YC CL and again, we loved our room and the resort (the "dark side", lol!) Walking to Epcot and DS was priceless....I definitely hope to be able to stay at BC/YC again in the future. We were able to meet Teena on Monday right before we caught ME to the airport and that was such a pleasure! So glad we caught you between cruises and that they scheduled you to work, Teena!

It was just DD12 and myself, and moving resorts did not bother us at all. Disney makes the baggage transfers easy and I had a packing system that made it simple to move stuff from the drawers to the suitcases.

Thanks to all on this thread for the great advice...we had a truly magical trip :)

It was super meeting you!!! Hopefully you'll get back to the Y&B soon!

Is there somewhere at the BC where I can buy milk? Will a gallon jug fit in the fridge? How about a half gallon? Does Disney still do the character wake up calls I was reading about? (My kiddos would think that was awesome! ;) ) Are lifejackets allowed to be worn down the slides?

I think those are all the questions I have for now ;) I am sure I will think up some more before we leave ;)

We always buy milk and juice, along with some other breakfast items, at BC Marketplace on the day we arrive. I know others order from Garden Grocer and have it delivered, but we only need a few items and BC Marketplace has been really convenient for us. We buy the 1/2 gallon of milk and it fits in the room fridge (just have to make sure it's closed tightly when you put it away.)

We scheduled wake up calls for each morning of our March and July trips this year - and it was always a Disney character calling!

I'm relatively certain lifejackets are not allowed down the big slide (because children must be able to swim in 4 feet of water without a floatation device to use that slide.) They may be allowed on the little slide in the kiddie area. We used the little slide quite a bit in July, and kids with floaties and the BC-issued lifejackets were allowed to wear them while sliding in the kiddie pool.

Read on another thread that busses to MK stop at YC first then BC and can occasionally be crowded by the time they get to BC. How often does that occur? There are 8 of us staying at BC. Would you recommend that we walk over to YC to be sure we get on the same bus during our trip (Sat 12/18-12/23)? Do they often send one bus right behind the other at busy times?

Hi everyone! We returned a few days ago from our stay at BC. I posted lots of pics of our deluxe room (3557) on the BC & YC picture thread and thought I would bring the link here too because I know the question of what the deluxe rooms look like comes up pretty often. The room was absolutely fantastic even without a full balcony ... we didn't want to leave!

Jenjersnap,
So glad to hear you had a great trip! And thanks for posting those great pics. We arrive at BC on Sunday (if this pending Boston snowstorm arrives late enough to allow us to get out of here) and those pictures make me look forward to it even more.

Sure hope that pixie dust works and that we get our request for a room with a day bed for DS16!

Should I be requesting "close to transportation" or "ground floor"? I didn't because I thought that might limit them on giving us a day bed.

Yes the bus stops at YC before BC. I was there 11/29 - 12/04 at the YC and did notice on several occasions a MK bus pulling in one right behind another. However, I never saw where they had to tell people at the BC they couldn't get on a bus. There was always room when going to the parks in the morning during my stay. However, if you like walking, then by all means head over to the YC. However, IMHO it is not necessary.

Personally I would go with the daybed only. Even the rooms real far from the lobby, aren't horribly far away ... it's not a huge resort like the Boardwalk or some of the moderates.

I'm all packed. Haven't received my test results yet so I guess there's a chance I'll be cruising for 11 nights without knowing anything. I've got all my books packed and my shorts and t-shirts. Hot weather here we come!
