2010 Vacation

My family and I are planning our 2010 summer vacation to WDW. At that time, our boys will be 6 and 4. Due to my husbands work schedule, we have to go from a Saturday to a Friday but he doesn't have every weekend off. So, out of the following dates, which do you think would be the best to go:

June 25-July 2
July 17-July 23
August 7-August 13

We are not afraid of the heat. All know any of these weeks are going to be hot. We will probably be staying at Coronado Springs for Port Orleans Riverside.

I have gone a couple of time in July, I would recommend that date, the crowds were not to bad. With the 4th of July week around your time, the crowds will be unbearable. It's a shame you couldn't go the week starting August 16th, that's when the free dining starts.

will be hot. Don't worry about that too much. We go in July or July. The parks are open long hours so midday breaks still allow plenty of park times.

I would guess that your first date is the heaviest crowds and down in chronological order from there with August being the least crowded. Schools in the South start school around that time.

One thing you may consider is when resort rates (if you're staying onsite) go to value levels. This year for example Value and Moderate resorts go to value season on August 9th. Rack rates drop 25%-30% for weekdays and more for Friday and Saturday nights. Moderates drop around 15% for weekdays. Deluxe resorts move to value season pricing earlier - July 19th this year and dropped around 15% for this year. Offsite rates probably follow suit in dropping in price mid August. The 2010 rates should be out toward the beginning of August if Disney follows what it did the last couple of years.
