**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

YES! This absolutely makes my life. Last year I think the champagne was all $7-$10 if not more. I got the Rose Imperial and it was wonderful. I believe I spent $9 for that. Here is a great picture to get you all excited... :cool1:

I'm on :cloud9:

Thanks for the photographic evidence:laughing:

Yay!!!! :dance3: I can't believe something I love (champagne) actually went down in price at Disney! LOL! Thanks for the F&W recon! :thumbsup2 So, who has tried the new cheese booth? I'm still going to miss my Mouse Catch booth. :sad1:

The Taste Shake and Indulge like the French event sounds so fun! I wish we could go! Our plane gets in too late that day... but we'll be able to make PFTS, so I guess I can't complain. :-)

What's the best Moet and Chandon option for a champagne noob? I'd prefer something sweet I think.

Also - can anyone report if the Bison Chili from the US booth has beans or not?

I just posted a ton of food porn. Click here for a slideshow of everything we tried yesterday. There was nothing that I really hated, although I found more of the food to be spicy this year (including the bison chili). My favorite was the tuna sensation from Japan, and the cherry colada and ginger ice cream were great for a hot day. It was WICKED crowded. Lots of people just plopping down and picnicking on whatever grassy patches they could find.

Thanks! Off to get HUNGRY looking at your food porn! My son is there now, and they said they waited 40 minutes in Germany last night (but the beer was worth it!) We leave Thursday and I can't wait!

Does anyone know what it means when they say the culinary demonstrations are $9 and $13 a person and the wine demonstrations are $8 and $12 a person? Why are there 2 prices listed for each?

I'll be there this Saturday, do you think these will sell out? How do you sign up for them and should we get there early? We didn't buy tix for any special events so most likely we'll want to do one or two of these, but I wanted know ahead of time so we don't miss out. I'm assuming it will be pretty crowded.

My husband and I are flying down Friday, going to F & W Saturday with our Give a Day, Get a Day tickets and flying home Sunday. No kids! Can't wait!
Thanks for any info!
Carolyn

The lobster roll is at the Hops & Barley booth.

I haven't ever tried it. I dislike lobster and detest mayonnaise. It would be $7.50 ill spent here.

Thanks for responding! I'm sure you've got plenty of other goodies to spend your $7.50 on - so many choices!

just wondering cause i forgot...you can you a snack credit for food and wine for food, right???....cant WAIT i'm going in 17 dayz!!!

You can purchase tickets to the demonstrations here...

Since your time is limited and the demonstrations are a long walk from the World Showcase, you might want to focus on Saturday morning demonstrations. The two prices, I believe, reflect a discount for TiW and DVC members. Have fun!

Some are noticeably lower:

Tuna Sensation is $5.95 this year

and the Champagnes at the Champagne / Dessert Booth are $5 something (not more than 6) ... almost half the cost of last year's.

FYI - last night (Friday) it was crazy crowded ... tonight will probably be worse!

We're heading over today to do the booths. We were at Epcot Saturday night for PFTS (which was awesome btw!) It was crazy crowded around the WS on Saturday, hopefully it won't be nearly as crowded today!

Saw the champagne prices... how big are the pours? Same as last year, or are they smaller? If they are the same size, I'm gonna be one happy girl!

BTW - Inside the France spirits shop they sell wine and champagne by the glass (cooler and more civilized than outside). There is a rose Cremant sparkling for about $7 that is rather good.

Has anyone got any details on the Widmer Bros Seminar from last night? Definitely something I'm interested in, but we will only have 1 day and I'm not sure if I want to give up 45 mins of it if it's not worth it.

So remember use ur snack credits wisely- the lobster roll is still the most
expensive @ $ 7.50 ( kinda an FYI thing) . 13 days til food and wine for
for 2 wonderful wks:cheer2:
