**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

Next weekend the Authors Without Borders are Robin Miller's Robin to the Rescue and Pierre Thiam's Yolele. The Authentic Tastes will be the Savannah Bee Company and Chuao Chocolatier.

Thanks so much for all of the information! Sounds like the First Bites reception was a winner for the most part. Norman Love is an awesome chocolatier!

Speaking of chocolate, Chuao is an ultra-premium artisan chocolatier based in San Diego and they make an amazing product. My taste buds are screaming for a 77% Cacao de Chuao bar!

You are the best redzinner!! :worship:

Hopefully the wine pour is the standard not the exception this year:goodvibes

I was at the 3pm demo and the wine pour matched what Redzinner got at the 5pm one. The plastic glass appears to be a 4oz glass and the wine pour I got looked to be around a 2.5 oz pour.

I still saw bags at 4pm in the festival center, too.

Also, the passholder merchandise discount has been extended "until further notice". I was not told of an end date.

I wanna go nooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too! I was supposed to go this year, but we had to postpone until next year. Stupid school! lol

Oh well, I guess I will just live vicariously through everyone! So, lots of pictures and info please!

I would be forever greatful and indebted to someone who would get me a banner bag. We went on our honeymoon to Disney last year and the Food & Wine Festival was one of the highlights. I would love to have one of the bags as a (delayed) souvenir.

If you are willing and PM me, I could even Paypal you the money today.

I just got in, sorry I read this to late :( for today. I won't be going over to Epcot until about 1:30 tomorrow but I'll see if there are any left.

I really appreciate it! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that they still have them available - I'm just not optimistic that they'll still have them when I'm there next week.

Me, too? I'd really like one from the Germany banner. Same offer- cash or trade for a DCL wristlet.

If not, no worries.

I would love the info, I leave on Monday, so that would be perfect for me.. Thank you so much

Is it just me, or do the prices seem lower than last year?

ETA: Compared pictures of menus to last year...they're not less expensive, but it doesn't look like they took many price increases. So that's good...

Some are noticeably lower:

Tuna Sensation is $5.95 this year

and the Champagnes at the Champagne / Dessert Booth are $5 something (not more than 6) ... almost half the cost of last year's.

FYI - last night (Friday) it was crazy crowded ... tonight will probably be worse!

so where is all the food porn? I have been dying to see some of the food. Especially from the new booths.

It was so crowded yesterday there wasn't a place to set the plate down to take a picture!
People there during the week will have a better chance to take the food porn shots.

15 beers for 15 years - what beers are there?
I recognize some, but not all and can't seen to find it on the menu lists I've seen. Thanks!

As others have posted, the prices at the booths seem to be lower.

So to keep the historical price trail up to date:

This year, if you BUY one of everything at each of the booths, the cost would be $715. (last year was $819, 2008 was $728). The number only includes the smaller beers (if there was a choice).

Out of the above numbers,
2008 2009 2010
food: $201.65 $245.50 $219.95
dessert $52.00 $49.25 $46.45
wine $221.00 $199.50 $152.60
beer $140.00 $173.25 $125.70

Now who would believe that there was something at WDW that is cheaper this year than in 2008 ($715 vs $728);)

Wow. Who ever would have thought...I am glad to see someone else figured that up...now I know I have almost EXACTLY enough in gift cards stashed! :thumbsup2 :)

Seriously it is nice to know it's not higher...I expected it to go up. That's exactly what we do, buy one of each food at each booth and split it, or at least we set out to do that but so far we have never made it. You just get too full! But we allowed an extra day this year so maybe we'll get farther!

What else beside Food; dessert; wine and beer are included in the numbers. I;m planning my strategy and counting out my change jar. I'm a first timer and I want to be prepared. Thanks
