I also tried starting 4/17-4/24..came out to 41.99 per day.
I'm a little disappointed that Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road, Wolfgang Puck and some other's have been taken off the list. Those were some of the one's I had picked out for our trip. I still think that at 41.99 per day/per person will save us money in the end.

I just got off of the phone with DVC Member services to add our QSDP. They don't have individual prices, but it was $1,159.50 to add the QSDP for 3 adults and 2 children for 10 nights

31.99 x 3 = 95.97 per night
10 nights = $959.70

1159.50 - 959.70 = 199.80
199.80/10 = 19.98
19.98/2 = 9.99

So I think it's fairly safe to say that for the QSDP the pricing (per night) is

$31.99/Adult
$9.99/Child

I think that MAY be the case. Look at this blurb. It talks about saving 30% using the dining plan but then gives specific dates it can save you that amount.

2010 Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining

This vacation package includes accommodations at a Disney Resort hotel and a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, as well as the Disney Dining Plan that can save you up to 30% on dining for stays from 1/3/2010 - 1/6/2010, 1/10/2010 - 1/14/2010, 1/18/2010 - 2/11/2010, 8/15/2010 - 9/30/2010, 11/28/2010 - 12/16/2010 . This plan offers one table-service meal, one quick-service meal and one snack per person, per night of your package stay, at over 100 select restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort—including some restaurants that feature Disney Character Dining

I think you're right. So it's probably available other dates, but the savings wouldn't be 30% b/c of the higher cost of the plan. I'm getting a little discouraged about 2010 prices between this, the ticket increases, hotel rates going up. Makes me seriously consider going in January instead of the Spring.

This is completely normal. Those are restaurants not owned by Disney and the contracts need to agreed upon. They won't show up for several months on the list.

You had better luck than I did. I called DVC Member Services to see if they could give me the 2010 dining plan prices. The CM on the phone said that information is not available right now but that it should be available by the end of this month. :confused3

I didn't know that so thanks for the info!! I'll keep watching for the list to be updated!

We didn't figure the math out on the phone, but she was able to book it and gave me a total for us all. (She was a WONDERFUL CM too, too bad you didn't get her, she knows what's what.)

I figured out the adult total by looking up a fake reservation for one adult at disney.com. My number matched the numbers here, so I figured the kids price by backing out the adult QSDP cost from the total I was given.

Just don't hold your breath for it ;) (Last years first update was their final update and it was released at the end of December)

I just got $41.99 for our dates of June 2-10 on Disney's website. Let's hope it's that way across the board and not $46.99 like some have mentioned. My goodness seasons for the Dining Plans too?

Hmmmm...I'm going to try it again.

I get the $41.99 for the June dates but $46.99 for July 2-10. Maybe I have a crazy computer.

I wonder if they are going to do away with any free dining promo's in 2010 with these 30% discount dates???

It's not a 30% discount on the dining plan. It's basically marketing saying you can save up to 30% using the dining plan in comparison to paying out of pocket for the same thing. It's something they have used to promote the dining plan for years. There is no % discount on the dining plan.

I went in mid June and we got hit with the "holiday pricing" for meals, so this aligns with that.

I tried AKL & Pop Century for 6/6-6/12 and got $47 per night. $72 for the deluxe plan, $32 for quick service (rounded off the cents).

Also tried 2/1-2/7 and got $42 per night for the regular plan, $72 for deluxe, $32 for quick service.

I'm not sure we're going to do the QSDDP again if the prices are higher. We'll probably just break even. It's easier knowing it's paid for ahead of time but I don't know if it's really saving me anything. Ugh I hate math.

If your paying $47 a night for the regular dining plan I wonder just how much most people would really be saving. I suppose if you ate at the very high end places you might could save a little, but other than that, whats the deal. Unless, they jack up the prices of all the resturants. Now thats a thought.

This is something I thought of as well. I am sure that by the New Year we will see a price increase, at least that's my opinion.

Right now with the places we plan to dine, after crunching numbers and looking at the least expensive items on the menu, adding everything up with tax, the basic DDP would still save us money. And we are not likely to order those items (DH will definitely NOT order an onion tart as his entree at Captain's Grille, for example!). But, I also know that we are not spending 10 nights eating NY Strip steak, that is just unrealistic.

Quite a few of the places we are looking at are either a good or a great value on the DDP, but they are places we really want to try, DDP or not. They are Chefs de France dinner, Tutto Italia dinner (most likely), Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner for the skillet, Crystal Palace dinner, Biergarten dinner, Cape May Cafe dinner. We really want to go to these places, so I hope they are available. My concern is that with such a significant increase in the cost of the DDP, even more people will be trying to get into places like these, to get more bang for their buck.

Well, I will find all this out eventually, but not until April when I make my ADRs. Luckily I am a DVC member staying on points so I can add the dining plan up until 48 hours before check-in. We will probably wait until all our ADRs are in place to add the DDP. If I can't get enough good TS restaurants worth going to on the DDP and have to go to places off the DDP or off-site, we will not get it. I would not want to waste credits, especially TS ones. The QSDP is just too many CS meals for us, because we tend to do only one of these daily for lunch, a TS dinner, and either breakfast in the room or the occasional character breakfast for the kids (and us!).

But, interestingly, the DxDDP has not increased in price at all? Hmm...maybe Disney is trying to get people to buy that one since they would "save" up to 40% on their meals. Plus it would fill up the TS places.

The price for the Dining Plan is $41.99 throughout my stay (June 2-10) even though we change from "regular season" to "summer season" after the first two days. June 2nd and 3rd should be $41.99 and June 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th should be $46.99 according to a chart floating around here on the DIS but when I priced a package on Disney's website it was $41.99 for all 8 nights. Maybe the price on the day you check-in determines the entire stay or maybe all the kinks aren't all worked out yet. Who knows???

Did anyone else notice that the appetizer is listed as included on the TS meals on DDP again? At least I think I was reading the "included" items correctly!
