You had me sooooo confused by posting your second set of ADRs! Looking forward to lots of pictures from your upcoming trip! I just ate at V&A's in January and it was best meal there ever (and I've eaten at the Chef's table). I'll look forward to your updates!

Can you tell even I haven't figured out how best to manage my hopefully multiple trips into a single review? ;)

Really looking forward to V&A's. I read your review and it looked awesome (though your home cooked meals were pretty darn good as well.)

Thanks! Tonight I made Le Cellier's Beer Cheese Soup for dinner, I bought the cookbook when we were there for F&W in the Fall. Perfect for dinner on a rainy night (with a patty melt too!). I love to cook and eat!

Sounds delicious. I hope to try the cheese soup this year at Le Cellier for lunch. I need to start collecting more Disney recipes. We went to Boma last year and loved the Carrot Ginger soup. My mom wrote a nice letter to the head chef that night to both thank her for the thoroughness with which she explained the foods my mom could eat given some food allergies she had and to ask if she could have the recipe for the soup. A few weeks later she received a letter back including the recipe. We made it for dinner one night during a trip home and it was nice to have a taste of Disney at home.

We were there for F&W last year and picked up the cookbook that they sold. So far I've only made the cheese soup (several times) and the lobster roll but I have plans to try quite a few in there.

Hopefully if you're like most everyone, you'll love the cheese soup!

One of my planned trips this year is for an extended weekend in October to check out F&W for the first time. I'll have to see if the cookbook is still available.

I'm sure they will have one, try to avoid Saturdays in Epcot in Epcot if you can. The lines are long, the place is packed and you might get beer spilled on you. There are so many people walking around with drinks it's insane! If it's an extended weekend, try to do as much on the weekdays as possible. And don't make my mistake, no ADRS, eat only F&W snacks, they're pretty filling if you eat enough of them!

I think you were the guy who was talking about scrapple (I know what it is too), so if you'll eat anything, you'll probably want to try every sample! :lmao:

Thanks for the advice. Right now I'm thinking I would fly in on Friday and leave on Tuesday evening. So it sounds like it would be best to do some other parks on Saturday and Sunday (may check out MNSSHP on Sunday evening if the schedule matches last year) and then spend the bulk of Monday and Tuesday at Epcot trying the various snacks. I'll definitely not book ADR's those days to leave room for F&W booth foods. If i can extend the trip by another day it would be great. But even if it is just 3.5 days in the parks, I'll at least get to experience some of the festival.

Maybe they need a joint Germany/America booth serving PA Dutch specialties like scrapple and Schnitz und Knepp :)

One more night of sleep and then I hit the world. party:

Hoping that the crazy storms going through Florida don't severely delay my flight tomorrow and prevent me from a great meal at 'Ohana. Hope to post at least a small amount during my 9 day stay.

Made it!!!!:cool1:

No trouble making my 'Ohana ADR either. In fact everything went so smoothly I was able to upgrade my ticket at Guest Relations at MK and because of torrential downpours, ride BTMRR and Splash with no wait. The crowds continued to be low that I was able to ride both after 'Ohana as well as Space Mountain plus Wishes and Spectro.

Anyway, no time for a full review, I need to get over to Epcot this morning. However, here is a pic wet your appetites :)

Not sure why you can't see the pic. I host them of flickr but tried on a few different browsers and on my iphone and they show up fine for me. Here is another one from 'Ohana, let's see if it causes any trouble.

Well, I am back home, on the couch going through my nearly 800 pics and a few videos as well. I hope to have some reviews going shortly.

I had a great time visiting with Mickey and friends, but I have decided that there would be no way I could take on the Deluxe Dining Plan, or at least make it work financially. I canceled a few ADRs but still had some decent CS meals, which I was pretty good at documenting.

For a first time filming food porn I think I did pretty well. Only a few times did I forget a pic of a course.

Ok, gotta get back to photo processing. Hope to have a full 'Ohana review up tonight.

Welcome back to the real world;). looking forward to your pics and reviews.

Sounds like a great trip.

New board policy for reviews is sticky at top of board.

I have split your pre-trip and trip report into 2 threads. If you would like me to copy the intro into the new trip report thread, please let me know

Looking forward to reading the rest!
thanks!
