As soon as anyone has any info on the 2009 snacks I would love to hear it! I am wondering if it is going to be true to word or if it will be like last year where almost anything under $4 will be allowed... So once someone know for sure please let me know

First time on Dining Plan, I'm also interested in what's available for snack options.

The only thing that I can confirm is that Bakery II items at CSR (cinnamon rolls etc) are no longer included as snacks on the dining plan. The change was official yesterday and we were not allowed to purchase them as a snack.

I am still up in the air about adding the new QS dining plan to our March trip. I am anxious to hear about people's snack experiences this month as it will help me decide! :)

I don't think it will ever go back to "anything under $4", I think Disney wised up to the people getting the box of donuts or full bags of chips, etc. The snack credit was designed for a single serving item. Granted if you get technical and read the back of a 20 oz. soda, there are actually 2.5 servings in that container (and hundreds of calories in the fully loaded - non diet version), but I doubt Disney will make the companies offer smaller 8 oz. servings of sodas (but don't count it out).

What exactly do you mean Bakery II items at CSR?

they have different "tiers" of desserts/snacks.....

when we stopped to eat there in Sept. we used a Q.S. credit and could not get the yummy desserts on some of the tiers. We opted for a cinnamon roll. I wonder if they removed it from the dessert option?

I noticed your "please stand clear of the doors"
Did you know the Disney came out with a t-shirt..its called the "monorail shirt"
It says Por favor... etc.. with a pic of the monorail! I got it in Sept for my dh who was always using that sentence... he wears it all the time. Its gray with red & white letters/graphics.

Would one pastry / cinnamon roll /slice of pie etc. at a bakery like Main Street Bakery be a snack credit?

Generally speaking yes, a pastry or cinnamon roll from Main St Bakery would be a snack credit.

You can check out the sticky at the top of this forum for a complete 2008 list. jjohnson, the creator of the 2008 snack list, has agreed to do the 2009 list as well. I can't remember specifics without verifying the thread, but a relative is going to Disney in a few weeks and she has promised to take photos of snack options to get a good start on the 2009 confirmed list.
