Hi All

You all seem very busy . with packing and sports, Dr Appt Etc. I always tell folks it was a lot easier with a full time job and no kids. Then a part time job with kids and even harder as a SAH MOM .

Jen and Danielle - All the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Remember a positive attitude and faith are powerful forces!!

Diane- Looks like you have a very busy itinerary. Hope you have a blast.
We have a few more laid back plans. Snorkeling and biking on CC and we have not decided what to do on Nassau Day.

I just noticed we have a Betty and Veronica( Do we also have an Archie and Jughead( or am I showing my age?)

Heather- Have a relaxing and fun few weeks ahead before the Wedding

The weather should be warm here for the next few days, but there is always a chance for a Thundershower. My Boss starts his vacation on Friday, so my office is closed for the next 2 weeks. I just have to go in for about an hour a day and pick up the phone calls and do some odds and ends. Sometimes I can even do that from home. So if the Weather is nice Saturday I hope to go swimming at the lake and try to get some sun so I do not burn in Florida.

We did get Keegan in at Hopkins tomorrow morning for his next CT. He started the prednisone this morning and felt pretty sick after taking it, but I'm sure that's because he chewed it to pieces instead of swallowing it. He's never had pills that werent' chewable or liquid medicine before. The head of radiology said to smash it up, but he wanted it in halfs in yogurt thinking he could swallow smaller pieces.

Thanks so much for the referral. We are very lucky that we store nothing at all in our basement. The only things down there are the furnace and hot water heater. The furnace is up on a raised cement platform so no worries there but the water heater is on the floor and when it gets wet it takes forever to dry out. So cold showers all around for the Myers family.

Thank goodness you don't have too much in your basement. I hope you get it dried out soon and that your hot water is back on too

Afternoon Ladies, Just got back from getting my spiral perm done..woohoo. Nicole is getting hers highlighted and dyed blue in the front now. Luckily my friend is a hauirdresser and she cuts me a break or this would be costing me a small fortune..lol.

Mandy, I can't imagine only bringing 4 suitcases i couldn't handle it..lol.i need to be prepared for all clothing emergencies..

It's haircuts/colour time over here too Michele. I've gone a bit reddish and I'm having my hair cut tomorrow. Kerry is hoping to have extensions put in on Friday and is thinking about putting blue in her fringe (bangs to you), then Becky is having brown, black and pink put in her hair over the next few weeks too

I don't usually bother getting my nails done, but I may get some extensions put on - btw, how is your thumb these days Michele ? Has it healed OK, have you had another one put on yet ?

I survived the 2 parties for the kids on Saturday but was exhausted after. The kids had a great time though so I am happy. Now its just trying to find a place for all the toys and stuff. Emily mostly got clothes so I'm happy (although we did buy her a toy kitchen so we are finding toy food every where) but Bryan received lots of toys from his classmates so its definitely time to clean out some old stuff. I will try hard to do a full catch up tomorrow but it is late and I have to get the kids to bed.

Wow, you guys are quiet today! I hope that means everyone's outside enjoying themselves. It's a nice day but pretty muggy. We have storms in the forecast for a few days.

We had a busy night last night with a new baseball tournament starting. Tonight the boys both have football practice and we are back to baseball tomorrow night---football thursday---baseball Friday. Keegan has a baseball camp all next week at the Cal Ripken baseball complex in Aberdeen, MD (an hour and a half drive each way) and will miss his baseball games next week. They have a final tournament in Palmrya on August 9/10 and we are done!!! Well, except for football but at least we won't have any games/traveling for sports until after the cruise.

Laurie, congrats on the new luggage. We each have rolling duffle bags and one garment bag. Ours doesn't have fancy wheels though! Our little carry on one with wheels is such a pain to roll, I carry it half the time. I'll have to check out the kind that spin 360 degrees.


Sandy, sorry about your basement. We'd be in serious trouble if our's flooded we've got so much junk down there and all my scrapbook stuff/family pictures. My friend in the neighborhood just got back from vacationing in Florida for 2 weeks and one of their hot water pipes broke, flooding their 1st level and basement with over a foot of water. They have to replace all their furniture, dry wall and even the kitchen cabinets. I have another friend (Kim K.) interested in getting a 3 day Wonder quote for next June and I gave her your name/company name so you might be hearing from her soon.

Jen, good luck in Boston and Toronto. Have you seen some improvements with the OT that Em is getting?

Diane, thanks for the information on the doctors. I spoke to a couple of close friends in the medical field and they agreed I should go with what the doctor's at Hopkins are suggesting. It's just scary/mind boggling to have it all come up at once again when I seriously thought the mass would entirely be gone by now. To look at him you think he's the epitome of health and to know there could be something in there life threatening is terrifying.

Michele, I hope you are feeling better.

Heather, I'm glad you can sit back and relax now with your wedding plans all a- go.

Mandy, I hope you are having a great day and you were able to get some sun yesterday.

Just FINALLY caught up on all the news again.

My best news is that I chartered Alana and I on our own private boat with our own private instructors (2) who just happen to specialize in scuba for kids. We are GOIN DIVING in Nassau! YAY YAY YAY I'm so excited I could scream.

Suzanne - We're late dining (early was full up).

Diane - We're doin the sting rays and catamaran on CC tooz.

Deb - BLUE MAN GROUP??? Where? When? I can't afford it after paying for that charter, but... OMGosh have you seen them before? I LOVE THEM. Also, I haven't been to either water park, but I know you can swim with the sharks at Typhoon Lagoon so that would put it above Blizz in my book.

Lezzeee... oh hairdos... geez. I wish I had time to get my hair done. Last time I did anything with it I chopped it up royally. I want red streaks. Not very professional, but I still want em. *pout*

Our countdown calendar sucks compared to yours. Doh! Shoulda made it a countdown.. I just put in the dates and made it in boxes with disney toons and stuff. We have to count to see how many days are actually left.

Alana got out my enormous bag of disney stuffed animals and placed them spontaneously around the house to help us get "in the mood". It was all her own idea... good idea. Much clutter. : Oh well.. it DOES help me get in the mood. I just love my stuffed Bambi.

I'm thinking I better add more swimming and walking to my exercise agenda from here on out or she'll run me even more ragged than she's gonna anyway. Wish me luck.. I have about as much incentive as a stump.

Hi Everyone,

We just got back from Hopkins and Baltimore. Everything went well with the contrast dye (no reaction at all!) and the preliminary reviews of the CT by the radiologist were good. She said they still need to look at it very closely with other radiology doctors, but that it looked like all scar tissue and she didn't see any evidence of the original mass/cyst. I can't begin to tell you how relieved we felt! They said they wouldn't be giving us any results there and would call our doctor, but we basically begged them and they looked at it quickly for us. I don't think we could have mentally made it any longer. I'm really really optimistic everything's going to heal just fine and we are going to end this chapter in our lives. Thank you all for the positive thoughts and prayers. They really, really, really meant a lot.


I hope everyone's having a great day. We are off to baseball in a few minutes and it looks like it's going to pour!
