Are u scuba certified? Where are u planning on going at castaway cay or nassau?

Yes. We are. We got certified last August in St. John. It was a dream come true. There are no scuba options on CC, at least not that I've found. So we have to scuba while in Nassau... I'm not sure who, how or where tho... not yet. I suppose I should add that to my To Do list. Do you guys scuba? It sure would be nice to know there'd be more "buddies" along than the two of us bein that we're not pros er nothin yet.

I think I'll do the Sting Ray thing for Alana on CC. She hasn't swam with them before (I have.. mucho funz.. in Belize.) We'll also probably do the catamaran and snorkle somewhere else deal. We'll be snorkling constantly, so that make for a nice change of scenery. (We're both fishies).

Your daughter is 11 right? Is she going to the club while onboard or just be wandering?

I don't know WHAT she'll do. On previous cruises I'm afraid that mom has just been way too fun to part with... she's been in the clubs a little bit, but would rather be with me.

Last cruise what worked out for me (to get a little space/me time) was FRIENDS. She found a lovely lil friend and I would take the girls while they had their time and vice versa. She also LOVED hanging out with the disboard friend's teenagers.

Now that she's older, I'm not as worried about getting my space. She understands and will give it to me (just be quiet and leave me alone) when I ask her to... so, to make a long story longer...

She IS excited about meeting friends on the cruise (especially boys) and is very interested in the club.. as long as I come along with her to it (at least to start). I think she'll find a friend or two and be happy hanging at the club with them (but I hope she doesn't enjoy being away from "not so fun when yer getting older mom" too much yet!

Well if you decide to take part, then you'll be in a group with Debi (group of 5), Diane (group of 5), Betty (group of 2) & Melissa (just her). It is really up to you if you want to buy individual or family gifts

I think we'll arrange to send our gifts out at different times of the cruise - I know some people have bought things for Pirate Night, so they'll probably deliver them on the Tuesday afternoon

So have a think about it, and if you're interested, then just let me know

Things are going well. It is very hot and we feel bad for Em since she has 26 electrodes GLUED to her head. It was wrapped and then put in a stocking cap. It would have to be over 10.. (104) according to the hotel temp today..

The Docs have been great. The neuromuscular specialist thinks Em has a couple of things going on.. He thinks mitochondrial disorder and possibly a mild variant of a muscle disease. He has requested the muscle biopsy slides and forzen muscle tissue to be sent to Boston. We'll see...

Tomorrow the electrodes come off and we are off to the oral surgeon...

I'll check in tomorrow...

Ugh - alaska canceled my return flight. We were supposed to fly Orlando to Portland then Vancouver, but apparently that's all been canceled. So now I have no idea how I'm getting home. My TA said not to worry they have to find me the next best thing and she will let me know tomorrow. I thought I had this all figured out. We have to fly to Vancouver on Aug 29 as we fly home on Aug 30 and cannot change that flight.

Oh - I do not need this stress!!! Pam are you flying out of Seattle?

I am off today! WOO HOO!! But, I'll be going to Ant's school for an "Author's Breakfast" - the kids read poems and stories that they wrote to the parents. Fun, right? Then I have to run to get teacher gifts, father's day cards and gifts, and a couple of returns.. This is what happens when I have to WORK all the time!! UGH!

Jen - glad you are getting somewhere in Boston! Sorry the weather is SO hot! Keep us posted on your findings!

Aww poor em..does she hate having those things stuck to her head? When nicole was having all the seizures they did that to her a few times and she hated them..she kept trying to rip them off. I hope you get some real anwsers soon.

Oh Sandy, I have just done my excerises again, and the sit ups were sooo painful, so I couldn't do many of those, but I did do my butt and arm exercises though they blooming ache

So I've heard.... I just have to keep working on STAYING cool so she NEVER don't want to hang out with me. This could be an impossible task, but I'll do my bestest. It gets harder and harder the older and older I get.

I really want to be able to stay friends with her through her teenage years... really really.. Last year I had her write up a promise never to hate me and sign it. lol

I was a terrible teenager. My poor parents...
