Yes my little one Sami is turning 8 on the 7th. If I had thought about it 8 years ago I would have waited a day to have her she would have been 8 on 8/8/08, but who thinks that far ahead ( I was induced) I'm luck I can think ahead to plan for dinner, in fact I usually don't. I am good at planning the parties and trips and such ( you know the important stuff)


Right now I am sitting in my basement because there is a huge thunderstorm coming and I live in a little ranch house, surrounded by huge trees, if one comes down on the house it will trash it so we don't take any chances.

Afternoon Ladies, Sandy that really stinkscan't believe it happened again. Hope the cleanup isn't too bad this time.

Mandy, Glad you had a nice time out with your friends today. I never made it to the beach yesturday i had a computer crisis right before i left.
I spent 4 hours plugging and unplugging wires from my motem and router and resetting all my settings on the computer. It was lots of fun.. i called cablevision and hp who were of no help. My computer kept saying i couldn't connect to the internet without a valid ip address. Finally i called the computer geek at work and he walked me thru how to fix it...i gave him twenty bucks later. So my day was pretty stressful yesturday.

Laurie, I knew you would end up shopping once you got off the phone... Did you buy anything good?

Jen, Good luck with the house of little kids..

Betty, Did taylor get you to pack anything yet?

Suzanne, Hope to see you at sailaway tonight seems like forever since we have chatted.

The storms passed with no damage here I can't afford another home owners claim. The other day Sami had a friend over and they were on our inflatable water slide and Sami's friend slide down, crashing into Sami and the friend's sister. Sami and the friend each had big goose egg bruises on their heads. But then they said they were fine so we went to see Wall-E ...Boring!!!!! and then out for pizza. then I took the sisters home. Apparently the next morning the little girl started vomiting and the parents took her to the ER for a CAT scan, it turns out that she had a mild concussion!! They don't have any insurance so I am going to see what the homeowner's will cover. Never a dull moment around here , either!

Danielle, I hope they don't jerk you around too much longer with Keegan. I think not knowing is so much worse than knowing, at least then you know what you are up against, you can make a plan of action.

I finished my FE gifts for the kids today...I am planning on giving things the first 2 nights. ... are we putting names/ room numbers or any thing on them or is that up to individuals? I would kind of like to know who gave me something, but are the kids going to know or care???? The men as usual are the problem for me...I don't have much for them. Any one have any good ideas?

Heather - if you want advise on how to stay married for a long time, I should introduce you to my Parents in Law ( who are bringing us on the trip) They celebrated 50 years last Nov!!

OMG, it's Monday again, the weeks are really flying by now, our vacations will be here before we know it

I managed to get Paul to sort out some of his holiday clothes yesterday and I washed some of mine ready for packing - woohoo !!

Well it looks like it's going to be another hot day here, so maybe I'll be lucky enough to sunbathe today when I get home from visiting my mum

Speaking of diets, I used my parent's wii fit yesterday for 45 minutes.. It was such a fun way to exercize I decided we needed one!!! LOL MAYBE that will motiviate me! I think so! I had a blast!

We are getting our act together for Boston.. We leave early wednesday.. Em has appointments on Thursday and we come home Friday... Then it is laundry and repacking for Toronto.. We leave on Sunday and come home the following Saturday.. We will have the laptop so I can check in on you guys!

Remind me when you are all leaving again??

I am so excited for this!!!

Hi everyone!

Well it is Monday.. Does that mean diet day??!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAugh! That was a scream. I'm so frustrated right now. I've been dealing with Keegan's doctor's office the last hour trying to get his new CT approved/scheduled. His local doctor is very concerned and didn't want him to have the contrast, which Hopkins is insisting that he needs for diagnosis/ruling out the bronchogenic cyst. His doctor said we need to make sure he's premedicated exactly as prescribed (3 prednisone tablets 24 hours, 12 hours and 2 hours before the CT) and have it in the hospital not the outpatient center. Hopkins wants it done in the pediatric hospital by the head doctor of the department so that's not a problem, it just scares the heck out of me and makes me second guess it all. I just want this all done and over with.

We had a great weekend visiting my sister in NJ. We got caught in that horrible storm on the way to the beach, but once it passed we got to play a lot of games, have great NJ boardwak pizza and waffle ice cream sandwiches.

That really is frustrating Danielle! The thing that stinks is you are at the mercy of the "brains".. I have met only a few docs who think about the personal side of this all.. Hang in there!

Today i had a bagel and some apple so i think i am o.k. again.woohoo. So i of course cancelled the dr. appointment.lol

Paul & I had a lovely meal last night with our friends. We hadn't seen them for a few months, so it was nice to catch up with them

Mandy - I am a regular shopper/return gal these days! I think I am all ready for the cruise - as far as clothes go, I have to go over the toiletries/medicines (I always have allergy meds, cough meds, etc - I don't want to have to go and buy that stuff on board!) But, I've been shopping away, mostly for the boys and Carm. My piles are made in the spare room, one for each of us! I could leave tomorrow and be ready (other than the fact that I have to iron) - but, I think I am pretty ahead of myself - w/that stuff at least... the FE stuff, that's another story!! I did start my picture project - FINALLY, collected them - so that is a start. I still need to organize the boxes, need to start that soon if I am going to ship it all to my sister ahead of time!

Sounds like you had a nice meal w/your friends! It's always nice to catch up w/adult conversation!

Computer troubles - YUCK! I get SOOOOOOOOO frustrated when that happens - it's like I've been removed from my 'life' - LOL how sad is that! I bet Jeff was happy your lifeline was cut off!!

I did get some good stuff on our shopping trip~ Like I said in Mandy's reply - I think we are all done w/shopping! All I need to get is the FE stuff (LOL) - and beige-ish socks for the boys to wear w/the khakis!

I decided not to 'dress up' for dress up night. Just capris and a top. Carm will wear khakis and a polo shirt (a nicer one), and the boys will wear khakis and a button up shirt. Which is more dressy for them compared to the other nights. They are mostly wearing cargo-type shorts w/polos for dinner, other than pirate night. Ant wants to bring his Jack Sparrow costume, we'll see if it fits in the suitcases. But, I did get them each a pirate t-shirt to wear w/cargos to dinner w/pirate accessories - that'll probably be about it for them (and Carm and I too!)

Mandy - I tried IMing you last night - we had a power outage here - obviously same storms that were heading Diane's way hit here too! Anyway, I was actually around for sailaway, and couldnt' get on! But, I was actually hoping the power would be out a bit longer so I could work on my project! But, when my electric was back on, back to computer work I was~ Oh well!

Glad Paul is starting to sort! Carm started on Saturday - tossed most of it because it was TOO BIG (have I told you that I hate him?? LOL)

I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow..... It'll be here before you know it! The summer is flying by!

I did manage to get an hour in the garden today, but it is so humid now, we could do with a big storm to clear the air. We're not doing anything tonight, Paul & I are watching 'I am Legend' now and hopefully I'll get an early night as I feel really tired
