Hi All ~ Any New Years Resolutions for 2007?

I tend to make daily resolutions so nothing new at my house....heeheehee.

How about you?

Blessings, Sandra

We have a few, DH likes a theme for every year. Last year was "Moving up" this year is " One step at a time". Im going to stop drinking pop I just have found since I went on Mat. leave that since Im home and its in the house I have it.

To clean out my basement....hire a contractor and finally finish it. We keep saying we will do it ourselves but never do. I also want to finish painting as I started after getting our ralph bucks but never finished. I still have not lost all my baby weight...that's going too.. I have absolutely no excuse anymore as the youngest just turned 4 :rotfl:

To buy a bloody house! Actually, I'd prefer if it wasn't bloody but if that lowered the price I'd clean the blood.....

One of my resolutions is to get down to 170 lbs BEFORE our trip. Here's my progress:

Feb. 2005 - 235 lbs
Jan. 2006 - 219 lbs (started eating healthier, a little more activity)
May 2006 - 200 lbs (quit smoking, started hitting the gym, continuted eating healthier)
This morning - 183 lbs :cool1:

I've got one more weekend of 'excuses' before I get back on the band wagon. To tell you the truth I've actually dropped weight over Christmas! I was 185 before...I'm probably dehydrated today though. Even still, maintaining through this calorie-rich season is good enough for me.

Another resolution, probably the biggest one, is to find a new job that I actually enjoy! I went to school for too darned long to not like what I'm doing and I've only been here for 7 months!!!!

Before Cmas....230 lbs.

Today....224 lbs.

I got a treadmill for Cmas....heeheehee. S

That's awesome Sandra! Keep up the good work! DW is always carrying her water bottle around and she is now claiming that it is "magic water" because she's eaten pretty poorly over the holidays and she hasn't gained any weight! She's actually doing better than me, she was 240 lbs in October 2005 and is now weighing in at 170! She's a real trooper!

In 1998, before dd started school, I was 208 lbs. I didn't want to be the 'fat-mom' so I dieted and exercised my way down to 120 lbs before she started school. That was WAY too thin. I became a fitness instructor, quit smoking, had ds and maintained 135 lbs. Weirdly enough, after 9/11 terrorist attacks, I started having anxiety attacks and gaining weight. The change in the Universe hit me hard....in the hips, thighs and butt. I went on 'happy pills' for the anxiety and gained even more weight. I gained 100lbs! I still teach the occasional fitness class, love my YOGA and healing classes! I want to lose the weight because my dad died 2.5 years ago of a heart attack...he was only 60 years old! I gained a lot of weight after he died too. So now I'm on the treadmill 30 minutes a day, eliminated some fat and sugar from my meals and drink more water. I'm starting to reno my house too, cut off 18 inches of hair and dyed in RED! Everything is being RENOed! heeheehee! Blessings, Sandra

Wow! That's quite the story! My dad died 5 years ago from a brain tumor...you'd think that'd make me quit smoking in a heartbeat right? Nope! I carried on for 4.5 years before I decided to call it quits. Come to think of it...it's exactly 8 months to the day! Woo hoo!!!! What's even funnier is our next Disney trip coincides with my 1 year anniversay of no smoking. I wonder if that is something I can say that I'm celebrating when we're down there?

I absolutely love working out and watching my body change; it's truly incredible! I just want to keep this up for the rest of my life. I know I'm only 24 and I've got a lot of trials and tribulations in front of me but it's tough to think about going back to the 'old ways'. It's all about positive thinking though...I think....

I thought my dad's death would kick my butt into losing the weight, but it's been 2.5 years and I'm only now starting to want the weight off for good. I don't have self-esteem issues....I love me no matter what my size is. However, I preach the Mind, Body and Spirit connection, so I should practice what I preach and move my Body parts! Yoga helps me tremendously! It's opened my life so much. I even got to sing on a yoga CD! It lead me to healing arts, reiki, tarot and all things Spiritual. I'm connected with the Celtic traditional of worship and my bond with God is strong. With my Mind and Spirit harmony, it's time to balance the trio with Body work! Blessings, Sandra

Nothing here we don't bother making resolutions we know won't happen.

Best wishes to everyone on their New Year Resolutions!!

As a general rule, I've never made a real resolution before, but this year I just may! I'm right with many of you on the weightloss hopes! I lost about 60lbs in 2006 and want to lose about 5 more. However, my goal is to MAINTAIN in 2007! In my adult life, I've either been gaining or losing weight. I think I'll try something new and try to maintain my weight for a while. What a concept! ;) Happy New Year everyone!!!!

I told my friends the only resolution I was going to make was to nicer to everyone. They all laughed.:confused3 ;)

No resolutions here - won't make things for short term!

However having said that I have lost 12 lbs since the Saturday before Christmas - Thanks for that virus Santa!! Need to keep that off and loose about another 40 or so for our August trip and to just feel healthy again - back in 2003/2004 I lost 80lbs just through increasing water intake, walking and eating healthier - had a few deaths in the family and put back on 50 of those lbs - time to shed them again for good this time!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Every year my resolution is to lose weight. This time it is only 10lbs and I have till March to do it. :cool1: :cool1:
