2007 NE Ohio Memorial Day (Sunday May 27th) Picnic Returns! (After taking a year off)

It is always great to meet with fellow DISers! John & Sue are such wonderful hosts. Thanks, guys!!!
It was nice to meet Disney_for_life, Michelle, and her DH, Paul. Amazingly, they are from the same town I am (Barberton!) It really is a small, small world!
Unfortunately, Debbie, who is one of the original founders of the NE OH DISers, was away on a Disney Mediterranean cruise. I hope she posts lots of pictures when she gets back!

It was a pleasure having everyone over. I think that there were equal numbers of DISers and my son's friends from high school and college. They are a ravenous bunch (the college kids) as we went through over 80 hamburgers and over 50 hot dogs. The desserts were gone by midnight (and there were a LOT of them). Our cupboard was bare this morning, so I made a quick trip over to Giant Eagle to restock. We had wonderful weather and could not have asked for things to go any better.

It was nice that disney_for_life and her DH Paul could make it to the picnic. It's always great to find new Disney fans in the area.

Poohbear67 and her DBF called us this morning as there was some confusion about the fact that our Memorial Day picnic is actually held the day before Memorial Day. Sue and I insisted that they come over regardless and I am glad that they were able to drop by. We had a very relaxed afternoon chatting with the two of them and hopefully Nancy (and perhaps Mike) will be joining me on the ride up to Niagara Falls next Saturday for the Hard Rock Cafe DISmeet.

Don't feel too badly for Debbie. I believe that while we were enjoying our picnic in NE Ohio, she was at Disneyland Paris after taking the Disney Magic relocation cruise across the Atlantic Ocean. Seriously, we missed having Debbie and her mom at the picnic. Maybe next year?

And not to forget our other founding member, we missed RNMOM and her DH Tim at the picnic too. I hope to see them next weekend at Niagara Falls and next year at our picnic.

Thanks again to everyone who graced us with their presence on Sunday (and Monday). It made the weekend extra special.

Thank you so much for a great picnic! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves! We had a blast meeting new people who share our love of Disney! You all made us "newbies" feel very welcomed into your little group. We can't wait until next year! Thank you again for openeing your house up to us.
