2007 International Food & Wine Festival (Marketplace Booth Details Now Available!)

The one thing that I am disappointed about in this new menu for the F&W Fest is no Bailey Trifle at the Ireland booth.
I had two of those last year and I pured a little of my Irish Cream Liquor over it and it made it delicious! I was so looking forward to more of those this year.

:thumbsup2 :cool1:

Well, I must put a shout out to my fellow DIS'er PatriciaH, you totally rocked on the details....AGAIN! See the details on the International Marketplaces, if you have missed the post that PatriciaH made today! Let it be known that a little DIS'er broke the news before the major websites did! It's so nice to have connections! ;)

AllEarsNet.com posted the details for everyone a day afterwards confirming what PatriciaH had posted for us!

The official Disney link for the F&W Fest has lots more nifty details.....I am particuarly looking forward to the Oklahoma and Dominican Republic exhibits. Official Disney F&W Website

Happy planning everyone! Maggie

I must put in a word for one of the wines offered in the USA booth. All 4 of the wines on the booth menu are very good wines but our absolute favorite is the Dr Frank Riesling from the beautiful Finger Lakes area in NY near where we live. We're not just partial because we live nearby, we realy love the wine. We just visted the Frank winery and a few others in mid August and sampled a number of the wines. Many of the wines we sampled are outstanding. We came home with 2 cases of wine including a half case of the Dr Frank Dry Riesling. There is a dry and a semi-dry riesling - both are good but the dry is our favorite. It is crisp and fruity, and has a wonderful flavor. Not sure if the festival booth is serving the dry or the semi-dry. Dr Frank wines have won many gold medals at international competitions. California wines are pretty common on menus across the country so you might not be tempted by the USA booth wines. I highly recommend stopping by at least to try the Dr Frank Riesling.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am not one for white, normally, but with this description, it will be on my "must taste list"...

thanks...cannot wait for another month....must be hungry right now.

That movie is my favorite since Finding Nemo. I really hope they incorporate him into the festival since well, he's so appropriate for it.

I'm already planning on buying the Remy/Emile Wine Cork Set while I'm down there.

Remy would be great...I was thinking it would be stamps, like Flower and Garden was last year.

This will be our first visit to the F&WF:flower3: , we are so looking forward to sampling the different foods from all the booths. The only problem we be trying to decide where to go first ......:lmao:

PatriciaH, Since you have connections ;) , I was wondering if you had any clue concerning something a dining CM told my DH? After not being able to get through for a half hour the morning F&W ressies were opened, of course LeCellier was already booked when I got through. My DH called about other ADR's and a CM told him that travel agents will purchase blocks of F&W events to sell with packages & later release them. That we should continue to call to check for openings. Of course we have been calling & checking & have asked other CM's this question & have been told they did not think that was true or that anything was likely to open up. Any insider info on that?
