2007 International Food & Wine Festival (Marketplace Booth Details Now Available!)

Well I see we're not the only ones waiting for this info.!!! We called Dining again yesterday & we're put on hold while the CM said she wanted to check another website. Yep, guess what site that was, the DIS! She actually said that the DIS had the info posted last year before the Dining CM's even had it!!! How is that possible?!

We are very annoyed & frustrated with this & do find it very un-Disney like. It seems the schedule came out in early July of last year.

I am going to send an email to Guest Services.

Great! The more who register dissatisfaction, the more likely Disney is to take action--either to release the F&W info asap this year and/or to prevent a repetition of this unfortunate situation next year.

Might be a good idea to send a copy of your email to guest.mail@wdw.disneyonline.com as well. That seems to be another site where one can register such complaints; you'll get more "bang for your buck" if you send to both addresses.

If anyone has the name/email/phone number of an actual PERSON in customer service (or better yet, someone in Disney Dining management), do let us know. Might as well direct our messages wherever they will do the most good!

I'm posting so I can keep track here. Does anyone have the descriptions of the events from last year with last year's pricing? I've seen some reviews with a few descriptions, but haven't found a place that list all the events with descriptions and prices. This is our first time and we really have no idea what to expect.

I checked dining again and there is STILL no information in there other than the names of the events. I think the holdup may be in marketing/advertising. I know people that work over there, and they say it is like pulling teeth to get higher ups to sign off on info that NEEDS to go out. Then it all gets backed up. I agree it is taking way too long to get info. I am afraid it will all be released on 8/3 like they said:(

Awesome! Thank you for the link!

Which events do you really need to book ahead?

Pretty much every single one of them! I wait-listed 2 of the Food & Wine Pairings last year and neither came through. :sad1:

I called today and express my dissatisifcation to a supervisor at WDW EVENT.
He apologized and said it should be out soon.

I don't think P4TS needs to be booked right away. That thing is huge. They do sell some of them out but they won't sell out immediately like some of the smaller events.

August 3 is soon :rolleyes1

Exquisite Evenings and Signature Dinners usually go first thing in the morning. The Le Cellier Food and Wine Parings go fast too. Some of the Regional Feasts go fast (like the beer one) but others had spots left for a while. PFTS holds over 300 so it rarely books up.

I called yesterday and was told pretty much the same as everyone else here. "I see the titles but no descriptions or dates."

Well I'm hoping for a Party for the Senses on Oct. 20th, it'll be my bday!:cheer2:

If October 20 is a Saturday that should not be a problem.

UGH!!!!! I need to make ADR's if nothing else. WOW! food is controlling my holiday!

Yes, it's the day I come home from my trip. :(

And on a completely unrelated note:

Hawaiian cruise??? When did that happen? :rotfl2:
I think I need to corral you for Tokyo parks in 2009. Pencil me in. ;)

While we're all twiddling our thumbs waiting for the schedule, anyone want to talk about what events they loved, hated, etc.?

We are going to try for more food & wine pairing this year. Last year's at Alfredo's was awesome (unbelievable food unlike anything the rest. had been serving) but alas we won't be able to do that again. We were thinking of Le Cellier & maybe Marrakesh. Anyone have suggestions?

Unsure as to what else we are going to book this year. Thought the PFTS was pretty great, but somewhat of a hassle, with the rushing for a table, etc. Anyone have any good recommendations or any stay away from suggestions?

Yup it is! Last year it was a teacher workday and I was stuck in my class twiddling my thumbs, lol! :lmao:

You should be fine. There has been one every Saturday during the F&W Festival for a while now. We will be at the October 20th PFTS too! Our older DD has her BDay on October 23rd so this is also a celebration for her.

I am hoping to attend Sweet Sundays on the 30th of Sept. We have never been during the F&W Festival, and I am really looking forward to it....

DH loves sweets and desserts, so I thought this would be perfect!

Did anyone do a cheese and wine pairing last year or an Exquisite Evening?
